I LOVE pretty nails! Today was my first time going and I love the atmosphere. Very clean, I love the lay out and very pleasant. The staff is very friendly and nice. The young man that did my nails did an awesome job and was super sweet! He wasn’t rough with my nails and he took his time which I liked a lot. I’ve been going to Pretty Nails for almost 10 years. Son does a fabulous job and all of the ladies are awesome for pedicures. I highly recommend this place if you need a place where they remember you and make you feel at home. The place is gorgeous and clean, the massage pedicure chairs work well and They take their time to do it right and I never feel rushed. This is the first time my husband and I went to Pretty Nails. I should some a best recommended words for them! I was pleasantly surprised by the cute, cozy setup of the salon. I'm not happy with my experience here. First thing I said when I sat down was that I wanted the same polish on my fingernails and toenails with a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. The nail salon worker said okay that works. I get my pedicure done and then she tells me to pick out a gel nail polish to match. Maybe I'm used to nail salons that can make any nail polish into a gel nail using a gel topcoat but turns out this place doesn't do that and they don't have exact matches so if you want exact matching gel nail and regular pedicure, you won't get it here, but they will tell you it matches and that they were right and they know nail colors. This is the first nail salon I've tried since I moved to Raleigh, and had high hopes because of the great reviews. My nails/cuticles were in pretty bad shape and the manicurist did a good job of cleaning them up. However there was polish on the cuticles, tips of my fingers, and on the sides. When this flaked off it took some polish from the nail with it, leaving the edges looking ratty after only 2 days. She spent a lot of time on the massage part of the pedicure, using a scrub, oil, lotion, getting rid of dead skin, etc. but the polish job was the same as the manicure. For $43 this was very disappointing. It was $15 for the manicure, $28 for the pedicure. Coming from NJ where most salons offer the same service for $10/$20 respectively, this was very expensive to me.The salon was clean, the staff was very friendly, the magazines were current, and I was offered something to drink when I arrived. There is plenty of parking available. The salon was packed with 'regulars' (judging by their conversations with the manicurists and each other) so maybe I just had an 'off' experience. Read Less

I live in CA, so I thought I would treat myself to a gel mani while on a business trip to Raleigh. I have to say, I've gotten A LOT of mani's over the years and this was the BEST one I've ever gotten. The staff was so nice and talkative, but not pushy. I WISH I could remember the guy's name... I have been to Pretty Nails 3 times. Each time, I have had different Techs and they were all great. My gel nails stay for 3 weeks, maybe longer if I waited.The only bad thing to say is that they do not design nails. I have wanted a design on my accent finger and each time, they have not been able to do it. Even their best nail designer did not do a great job when asked to design. They are always fast and friendly. I usually go in for a pedicure and gel manicure. The pedicures are great, however, the gel polish never stays on for more than 4 days before it starts peeling off. I don't see paying $35 for a manicure that is "guaranteed" to stay on for 2 weeks and it starts peeling off at 4 days. Trying a different salon. Read Less

My first visit here was awesome. I am so glad I stopped in. I was greeted with a smile and was immediately accommodated. I get gels nails and due to previously salon errors of my nails it took them over 2 hours, but it was worth it. They even served me eggrolls for the holiday. I really want to give this place 5 stars, but I have had mixed experiences here. Yes, I agree with the other Yelper's that the staff is extremely friendly and they are very accommodating. I haven't had a pedicure here, but I've gotten shellac twice and both times the job was sub par.  In each instance, the polish lasted a week or less. Even more disappointing is that the polish just popped off. It literally didn't chip or slowly wear off, but just came off in one giant piece. I'm not super hard on my nails and any shellac/gel polish should take some serious acetone to take off. Seriously disappointed. Read Less

Best Pedi in the area!!!!! I'm not into the bedazzling thing when it comes my mani/pedi.  I don't need Mona Lisa, a tiger or the lyrics to a song painted on my fingers or toes.  I just like a clean, classy looking job done by someone who knows what they're doing.  This is what I get and then some at Pretty Nails.Their customer service is amazing! They aren't trying to hurry you in and out the door.  They take their time with each customer.  They will try and find the perfect color for you.True or False: Usually the person who does your pedicure somehow includes knocking (yes knocking) on your shins in the massage.  Don't know about you, but I've always hated that at other places.  Knocking on my shins is not doing anything for me.  Well at Pretty Nails - they don't bang on your legs.  They actually massage them.  THIS is pampering.  They are a little bit pricier than other places I've been.  A pedicure is $28.  But the salon is clean, bright, and their polish selection is full top quality brands.  Highly recommend this place - that is unless you like dirty, dingy places that have nail polish that cracks 2 hours after walking out.oh yeah - - - - take a few dollars in cash.  They take credit cards but it doesn't have a section where you can tip on the card.  If they had one fault - that's it. This is by far the best nail salon to go for a pedicure. They have many pedicurists and almost all of them can do cute designs on your toes, so you don't have to wait for one of the pedicurist to free up to do your design.
