I was here with a large bridal party. 8 of us made appointments so there wouldn't be issues. Not only did they only have 2 techs doing nails, and 1 running around they were talking walk ins before we were all done. The nail tech I got did not do a great job. My manicure didn't even last a day. The ONLY saving grace about this place was the one tech, Devon. He was helpful in coordinating nail colors to wedding colors, opinionated about what worked with the different skin tones, and made the poor service of the other techs seem some how less offensive. This was absolutely the worst pedicure experience ever. Save your time and money and go to any of the multiple other nail salons on James Island, for better service and treatment. I, and 2 girlfriends, were quickly seated at 2:30pm and it was all downhill from there. I waited over an hour for the Owner to begin my pedicure. My friend got started 15 minutes earlier with Mimi. For what was considered a $48 treatment, I could have done done better by sitting on my bathroom floo...r and painting my own toes, because that is what I got. A light buffing and straight to painting. All the while, my friend is receiving a full pampering of buffing, callous removal, cuticle cutting, massage and goodness knows what else. In 15 minutes, the OWNER was done painting my toes ad was off to the next customer. He never put my flops on my feet to even signal we were done, just left me hanging. All the while, my other friend, is getting great comical treatment, and her technician is making comments like, I'm going to get good treatment too. Ummm, when? Chris is the absolutely perfect Nail Tech. If I could put him in my pocket and take him everywhere, I would. He totally went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and extremely pampered! He stayed opened and additional hour and a half just for me. By time I left the salon, I was a new creature. The owner, Chris, is very shady. After my pedicure the price was more than advertised. I pointed this out and suddenly she doesn't understand English and stands there just shaking here head. Repeating deluxe 45 deluxe 45. The price list says 38. Mimi was reluctant to give me her name and would not tell me the owners name. My sister happened to know his name. I was referred here by a friend for the "best wedding nails possible". I called two weeks in advance and made an appointment for myself and my wedding party. They assured me they could get us in and out in an hour so I made the reservation for an hour and a half before my rehearsal. I had a full set of acrylics and pedicure, and paid for all my girls to have manicures and pedicures, we spent well over $350 in there that day and never got a receipt even though I requested one.... My nails didn't even last last two days, and they took over two hours making us late for our wedding rehearsal. When we got there nobody had our appointments set up, we had to wait at least 25 minutes to even be started, and although I mentioned multiple times we we're on a schedule, they still took their time, at one point one of the ladies doing our nails even stopped, stood up and took a video of the room with everybody getting their nails done. I thought Folly Nails was a good place until the last two times I went.. I paid $65.00 to get a full set acrylic with a design on 4 nails..next day I called to speak with the manager to let him know my paint was chipping off and I needed it to be fixed. He made an appointment with me the next day at 4 so I showed up exactly at 4 the next day. When I got there noone knew of my appointment so they could not help me until the manager arrived which his whole staff was laughing ab...out and telling me that he's still home sleeping and they cant get in touch with him to verify to fix my nails..so I waited 30 min and they finally contacted him..I waited another 20 min for him to arrive..He immediately sat down to fix my nails and I showed him a picture of the design I wanted. He said the other guy that worked there could do the design better he immediately stopped doing my nails and asked me to wait to the side because he has appointments he is late for mind you these women who had an appointment just arrived and I had already been there for an hour..so all in the end I waited another 20 minutes for the next man to do my nails it took him 45 minutes just to re design them and I still got charged $30 more for paint...They didnt even care that i paid 65 the day before with a $10 tip..even leaving pissed the second time I still left a $5 tip and I will never be back! So first off when I went to get a pedicure and I pulled my leggings up so they wouldn't get wet and they left the water running almost to the point of overflowing and my leggings got wet. Then when I got a manicure he did a pretty good job but when he finished up he told me my fingers were "short and stumpy but at least they're polished" which was extremely rude! After paying waaayyyy too much for a mani pedi for my daughter and myself on Thursday afternoon, my gel mani did not even last until Saturday, the one nail's gel was completely gone by Sunday am. We were in town for my son's wedding, and wanted to treat ourselves. They automatically did a "full service" pedi without asking and added gel on to my daughters acrylic nails without asking and the price was ridiculous: $166!!! Best full set I have ever gotten. The woman listened to exactly what I wanted and the result was spectacular. Prices are a bit higher than other places I've been, but totally worth the five extra dollars... Pricing for the items I remember are as follows...full set $25, gel $30, pink and white $40, fill $15, eyebrow wax $8, nail art $4, polish change $8. Again, amazing experience, but call ahead!
