Very long review but a must read if you're considering this horrible salon.So, I just moved to Mt. Airy and decided to try this salon out, hoping to secure a new favorite local salon. This was one of the only salons in the area with reviews on Yelp, so I went for it. I opted to get "mermaid nails" which is the chrome gel polish option. The nail tech first of all put the wrong color on my nails. The color I selected was "number three" however she put the roman numeral three color on my nails. I was fine with this, even though it wasn't what I wanted. Mind you, these nails cost $45 so it's not a cheap option at all. The owner of the salon did give me $10 off (the extra charge for the chrome nail color option) for the mix-up so that was nice. He seemed very nice and was apologetic...that changed though...The very next day, the chrome color started to chip off of my nails. I work an office job, so it's not like I'm hard on my nails or anything. So, I contacted the salon to inquire about having my nails redone. The owner directed me to come in whenever was convenient for me to get them fixed. So I show up that evening and the salon was pretty slammed. The owner seemed frazzled. He hurt my nails by filing the gel color off, not soaking with aluminum foil like is required of gel polish. He had an attitude the entire time, acted like I did something wrong with my nails or something. He then had trouble applying the polish, I'm not sure why. He said "I don't know what's happening...it's not sticking." He finished up, didn't charge me, and I went home. This man didn't even acknowledge me when I left the salon, I said thank you have a nice night and he said NOTHING. Again, acted like he was mad at me...for their screw-up.That evening...mere hours after getting the new polish...my nails chipped. Over the next two days, my nails chipped off so much to the point that I cut them down short to try to hide the chipping. I'm so disappointed with the place and will NEVER be back. I don't live here but was staying a few months. Needed my nails done so I picked the only place with a good review. (To be honest it was the only place with a review) came here and the owner did my pedicure and SNS nails himself. Did a great job and I was very happy. Had to go back in a few weeks and was passed off to some younger technician who did a lousy job on my pedicure and an even worse job on my nails. My SNS nails  crumbled off within days and my feet started scaling within days. I didn't pay for the cheap stuff either. Either make sure the owner does your nails or do like I am doing a find some place else. Read Less

I always go and get my nails done here but one day they had a new man and I had only been going here maybe 3-4 months I don't know all the staff but this man does my nails well he paints them I hit my nail on something and messed it up. I was trying to tell him and I told him I want a design I normally tell them to do anything with a my color but as I was picking my color the man told me to "hurry up" the manager was sitting right there. He didn't do anything I still had to pay for getting treated rude. Never again will I go back. And I don't want anybody to go back and get treated the way I did. Read Less
