Went there yesterday and had a horrible experience. They kept trying to upsell things and were very rushed and did a terrible job. My acrylic is crooked and messy underneath but worst of all the lady( possibly owner or manager who didn’t say her name) kept yanking my hands and arms awkwardly. I have 2 spots on my cuticles where she nicked me and she didn’t stop or say anything. She gave me the most rushed nail experience I’ve ever had my 15+ years of getting them done. Every time I come here I get a great service and the prices are fair. Christine does an excellent job with the SNS powder, which was recommended by a friend! I will never go here again, even if they are the only nail salon open on Sundays. The inside is cheap and the quality of the manicure is poor. It's been a week and my gel polish is already chipping. They also don't open the tools in front of you, which makes me wonder if they even disinfect them before using on another customer. Used to go here regularly then stopped for a few months.  Went back 3 times in the last 6 weeks -  each one a different negative experience.  Had a pedicure with only 1 leg massaged and cold water.  Had a pedicure for which I asked and paid for the extra callous remover --  they put the treatment on and wrapped in bag - but then did not scrub off...   I had a gel manicure that the woman literally yelled at me to keep my hand in the light when I tried to pull it out after 7 minutes.  How do I know that is wrong??  I am a licensed nail tech in Arizona and California --  I know how to do these things - but I like to be a pampered as well.  NO ONE should ever sit in the light until your arm is burning...  Not only are their techniques suspicious --  the second time I went for a gel manicure the girl charged me almost DOUBLE what I paid 7 days before for the exact same thing.  They are constantly trying to bully customer into something different then what the customer requests.  I don't know if they have changed management --  but this place has gone downhill.  Chairs are falling apart - and a general sense of doing as little as possible for an extra buck is evident.  Too bad --  After giving 3 chances to different nail techs hoping for things to get better only to have them get worse - I will not be back - nor can I feel comfortable with telling other people to go there. I normally get my eyebrows done nearby, so I decided to try and get my nails done on the same day.  If you like to keep your nails done and are particular about them, do not go here. It's another overpriced nail salon in the suburbs that gets away with subpar nails merely because the neighborhood/salon is upscale. I asked for a gel fill in, but they kept trying to convince me that "SNM" was better. Yeah, right! It's just a new fad that they use to charge you more. Worst nail salon I have been to in my life. It literally smelt like raw sewage in there, the nail tech harassed me on why I didn't want a pedicure, and the manicure was a complete waste of money--I could have done better drunk. Take your money somewhere else. Read Less

My mom and I went in to get an acrylic manicure. I love Cindy, but she was on vacation when I went in so we got our nails done by two girls I never saw there before. They started doing our nails but obviously didn't seem to know what they were doing. After twenty minuets I came to the realization they didn't know how to do acrylic nails and were just giving me a regular manicure. If they didn't know how to do acrylics, they should have said so in the beginning. Unprofessional. Only going back if I know for sure Cindy is there. Read Less

They cut open 2 of my fingers, ripped one of my gel nails off, and completely messed up the shape of my nails. I had to have them stop mid way through the filing for the fill and I left. Will definitely not be returning and would strongly advise others against going here Read Less

Cindy is really good and the new powder gel system they use is outstanding - I literally went chips free for FOUR WEEKS, and they didn't scrape half my nails off removing it, it soaked right off! It's way better than shellwc, plus no toxic chemicals, funes, or UV light. I also had a pedicure there and loved it, super gentle and relaxing! Read Less

I came in one day after work exhausted and my toes looked like crud. I had dead skin and chipped nail polish and just felt totally tired and in need of pampering. They got me taken care of right away and offered me a complimentary beverage. The massage chairs were very nice and definitely helped me relax! They turned on HGTV for me and cleaned my feet right up- even doing this awesome scrub with real oranges! I am very happy with the way my pedi looks and my nail lady was very gentle with my feet. Definitely will not be going to this place again. Went for the first time about a month ago and wasn't overly pleased, but the location is great and they have SNS. So I tried it again this week. They were very busy, so the woman doing my nails wash rushing so she could get to the rest of the customers. She was rushing so much that she was not paying attention at all. She cut my skin a few times, and filed down my skin way too far to the point of it being painful. She also did a terrible job putting the SNS on. There was color all over my cuticle and sides of my nail, which did not and still will not come off. I told her and she didn't seem to care. This place is terrible. My teen daughter and her friend went there and they filed down her skin around her nails until they bled!! They also took advantage of the teens and gouged the prices! I personally asked the price of the nails when I dropped the girls off and when the rang the girls up they over charged them by $10!!! Once I found out I went straight back there but they had already closed. They didn't even do a good job on the nails!! I'm beyond pissed off! This is a poor business practice and poor quality place!! 5 star mani/pedis every time I go- 3 star service and wait time. This place has skill and talent when it comes to doing nails. The staff are friendly and make sure your nails look perfect. I have had at least a 10/15 minute wait every time I've gone (even if I have an appointment) but they do their best to get you in right away. Sometimes miscommunication can make things tricky so make sure you make it clear what you are asking for. The acrylics I get however are the best so I always go here because those other issues are minor and worth it for the outcome. Read Less

I got the $36 basic mani-pedi package on a sunny Monday evening. I had no wait time, and Ly was a great masseuse! She used really great pressure and got me done in an hour. Her paint job was decent; she could've used a bit more care in cleaning the nail polish that landed on my skin (considering I have short nails). Also, could've painted the tips better to seal that color in more; though because my nails are short, I can see why she would skip that. Despite everything, it wasn't a bad job at all.They will try to sell you the SNS type of nail color and triple-check if you're suppppper sure if you just wanted a basic pedicure. If you just hold down the fort, then you should be fine. All technicians will try to get you to spend for additional services.It kinda threw me off when I walked in since most mom-and-pop nail salons are owned by those of Asian descent, and it was a Caucasian man greeting me instead. I came here on a Monday night and 4 nail technicians were just sitting around talking. It was clearly a slow night and there was no wait. I came for a basic pedicure and there are plenty of nice pedicure chairs and lots of OPI colors to choose from. The pedicure was fine and was a basic soak with cuticle trim. My technician was  little rough with the cuticles and I tried to focus on HGTV on the mega tv to not think about the pain. One unique thing they do is use a half an orange to give  you a citrus cleanse on your feet. I have been to many salons and the part where they use the scraper that is reminiscent of a cheese grater on your heels and soles of your feet is usually a standard part of a pedicure. The technician said something about callus so I just nodded as if I understood what she meant. I don't have any calluses so was confused but this was just part of the language barrier. The polish application was great and my toes and feet look wonderful. I was ready to give Red Polish a 4 star review but my "callous" impression has to do with the final transaction. I got the regular pedicure that was $26 and had my money saver coupon for $5 off. My total came to $24 and I was confused because I was so excited that I had a coupon and was ready to pay $21. The technician told me there was a $3 "callus" charge. I don't like surprise fees at the end and this should been clearly communicated as an addition. I don't even have any calluses so that is what ticks me off the most. Sorry but I won't be coming back and just urge you to be cautious with the little up charges. Read Less

Just got a standard pedicure ($26), but it came with a super nice scrub that was up and down my calf and for a good 4-5 minutes. I went today (Sunday) afternoon for a pedicure. It was jam packed. I didn't mind waiting a few minutes for a seat after picking my color. I sat soaking my feet for about 10 minutes before someone started working on my feet. I got a standard pedicure with a sugar scrub. The cuticle maintenance was a little painful as the technician cut me slightly (I discovered this when she applied some alcohol). It was very relaxing, especially sitting in the massage chair. The hot towel could have been longer than 1 minute, but it was getting long at that point. My polish was smudged when we put on my sandals, but the technician fixed it promptly.Overall, it was a good experience. Read Less

Went there today for the first time. The man who did my french manicure/pedicure was so meticulous with his work. He took care to make sure my polish was absolutely perfect. This might be the best french I've ever had. For once, my nails look great, and I have no doubt these ones are going to last a while. No chipping for me! Also, the nail technicians here take longer on the massage aspect than at any other place I've been. And for once, the massage chairs actually seemed to hit my target spots rather than vibrating awkwardly! Between my two friends Doc B. issuing a challenge/edict on his review of this very place (re: real men take care of their feet) and Melissa O. stating surprise ("you haven't ever had a pedi before?"), I went to visit Red Polish Nail Bar to remedy my situation. It's very near to my place, but never had used their services before. I decided one day on a whim to try them out, and came in as a walk-in.I got Cindy when I arrived, and glad I did as she has treated me very well each time now. The massage chair itself is worth it! While I soaked my weary dogs in the basin, I enjoyed a cold beverage and relaxed, letting the chair and Cindy do their work. I got the deluxe gentleman's package which included a warm clay treatment and hot stone massage. Oh man, that's really worth it, I recommend it. If you have an hour or so to enjoy spoiling yourself, try it. *swoon*As far as cleanliness, I can say that I saw them cleaning surrounding chairs/basins while I was having my treatment done and they do a great job it appears to me. The whole spa bar itself looks great and is well maintained from its appearance.Overall, I enjoy coming here. I find it strange that the only two reviews for Red Polish Nail Bar so far are from men.
