HORRIBLE service. Asked if they can do a specific design with my pedicure. The lady told me yes 3 times when I showed her the picture. She did a terrible job. Looked like a preschool art project. I didnt expect it to be perfect but it didnt even look neat at all. And she charged an extra $10. Asked her to fix it and she made me wait another 45 min. I patiently waited and when she fixed it her attitude was terrible. I was going to let her keep the extra money she charged for the design because she did try but after her making me wait for a 45 minutes for a 5 minute fix and her attitude toward me I made her refund me my money. The highly recommended nail tech Bella did my nails. She is amazing at what she does but she seemed very distracted and in a rush. That gave me something to keep in mind. If they are very good they can be so busy , in a big rush to get you out of the seat , the next customer in , and they pay no attention to doing a good job on your nails. Im sorry, But you better be careful. This place literally destroyed my nails, they file so fast and into a rush that they did a whole on my nail bed, It took me 8 months to get rid of it. And I can keep going about this sad instalation. they destroyed my nails. I hope they understand better in the future, that is incorrect to treat nails like that. Read Less

I went in to use a gift card I was given and was the only customer in the place, along with the husband/wife owners. My appt was with the wife who had to drive over from a salon across Morrisville Carpenter...so a five minute wait. She got there, was unfriendly, rough with my hands and did a crappy job. I have gel polish on the skin around my nails that she didn't bother cleaning up. I also had to point out a large lump at the tip of my thumb nail that she reluctantly filed down. I asked how much her shellac manicures were and she said $35. I've been getting them for 20-25 and would have been so upset if I were paying for this one. It was the worst. Just felt like she didn't even try. The topper was when she and her husband started arguing about taxes while she was applying lotion at the end. I couldn't get out fast enough and will NEVER go back nor recommend this place. Read Less

I am so glad I didn't change my mind about visiting My Island Spa after reading these reviews. I purchased a voucher from Twoongo and THEN read the reviews. I must say I was very nervous about my upcoming visit. I called and they are OPEN in the same location. They were very polite over the phone. I went in today for my appointment and Kim greeted me very pleasantly. I was treated very kindly and professionally. The salon was clean and I was VERY pleased with my visit. I will return and will have no hestitations about my visit the next time. If you're hesitant after reading some of the horrible reviews, please give Kim a chance. She's great. Read Less

Went to My Island Spa for manicure for myself and 16yo daughter. The Spa is not very clean and is disheveled. Half eaten, pitted cherries sat in an open napkin by the window. At one point an employee came out with huge basket of towels and proceeded to fold them in the middle of the salon. If you are going for spa treatment, the area for waxing is not enclosed, except by a sheet like curtain. The staff were pleasant to unfriendly. My daughters' staff person was quite rude while talking loudly to a customer (berating neighboring communities) and it took three times for co-worker to tell her to start on a manicure before she would stop gossiping and start. Don't look for any hand/arm massage with your manicure. Their work was brief, a bit sloppy and uninterested. With so many nail salons to choose from that are considerably better, I would definitely not go back to My Island Spa. My experience was so bad that I did not leave a tip. Read Less
