This is the first nail salon I've visited multiple times. I've come here repeatedly since March, and I used to see Tom for acrylics. He did an awesome job, but he no longer works there. They seem to have had some turn over and had a few busy weeks where they were understaffed, but the last couple times I went, the situation seems to have been resolved and they saw me right away. I had an amazing experience going to Serenity nail spa. At first I was a bit skeptical of going to a nail salon other then my normal salon but I received a warm welcome when I entered the salon and the ambience was too nice for me to not give them a try. Went in for mani pedi with acrylic . a bride came in with her group of rude, loud women. the more wine the louder... I was nicked 11 times by the man working on my hands and the girl doing my feet. The bride was asked to quiet down but she laughed and got her way... so I walked out. and have not gone back... Came in today on the recommendation of a coworker and had a hot stone pedicure which was beyond amazing then got nails done in the dip which I can never remember what it's called  and Lucy painted pumpkins on my index nails which are absolutely perfect!!! This is my go-to nail salon. They are all so friendly and do such a wonderful job every time I come by. The wait is never long and the service you receive can't be beat. I usually get gel dip on my hands and they feel so healthy and I constantly get compliments on my nails. They also do awesome work on pedicures. Hmmmm... Where do I start. I had an appointment with Lisa (which I believe is the owner) at 12:30pm. My friend and I arrived at 12:17. I got a fill in and gel polish. Lisa left me at least 5x to go do other things. My nails are all different shapes and sizes. And are also lumpy. What a waste of $40.00. I will never come back here. A local suggested this place to me when I needed to get my nails before heading to the beach. I needed a mani and pedi, so they quickly got to work on getting both done at the same time. I do like when they do that because it makes the whole process quick. They have a large color selection to choose from. I did not like how they have their chairs. They are so far back from the bowl, that you have to use 2-3 pillows just to push you close enough for the nail tech to reach your feet. The best part about getting a pedi is the massage chair. My nails looked good when I got them done, but chipped 2 days later. Shellac is expensive and it's frustrating when it doesn't last. I would not come back here if I lived in this area. Read Less

I took my daughter to this establiment to have her nails done for prom.  The gentlemen who provided the service did an AWFUL job.  I wish I had taken a pic before we had to go to Pretty Nails where the kind lady repaired the horrible job he did.  It was almost closing time and the guy apparently had some place to be because he left glue under her nails, put gobs of glitter on and there were lumps of acrylic everywhere.  I will never go back nor refer anyone.  What a waste of time and money!  Stay away. This place is horrible, came in with a bride scoping out for a wedding party! Was rushed to a pedicure chair, and sat in water forever. Didn't have time to pick a color I wanted. The lady doing my pedicure cut my feet because she was so ruff at trimming my cuticles. I would never recommend this place nor would I bring a wedding party here. The first time I went with my daughters. It was pretty good. The second time was horrible. My toes actually looked worse than when I got there. I went with coworkers and we signed in. I was getting a pedicure, one was a fill in, and the other 3 were mani/pedi. 2 of those were also gel nails. The man told one of them that she only asked for gel nails, not manicure when she asked why her hands weren't rubbed with lotion. Had my nails done there on Saturday (it's now Friday), and my experience and service were great. The manicurists/pedicurist were very friendly. They started getting busy, so my hand work started getting rushed, but the work done looked well-done, neat, professional. I will say that I had a gel French mani done, and my polish started chipping /peeling off on Wednesday. Now, I did have my hands in cleaning water one day, so that could have contributed to the early peeling, but even so, with as much as I must wash my hands at work, I can usually get at least a full week out of my gel without wear. Bad bad bad.I had a gel fill with gel polish there. Normally, I can go at least 2 weeks .  This one? Barely made a week before one nail broke and others started chipping.  They do not allow the gel fill to cure under UV before putting on Polish. and when I brought this to their attention all of a sudden, the guy couldn't speak English. I will never step foot in that place again.  There was one lady who was very rude.  I had my 5 year old son with me.  I asked if he could sit in the chair next me me while I was getting a pedicure and she said yes.  He reclined the chair all the way back and said he wanted to take a nap.  I didn't think he was being obnoxious but of course I might be biased.  He generally behaves and is very respectful.  Apparently she did not like that he reclined the chair all the way back and she came over in a tizzy and ordered him to get out of the chair and then  ordered him to sit in a chair near the door that was far away from me.  I could understand if she didn't want him to recline the chair, but she could have handled this in a much better fashion.  She could have started with asking me to have him put the chair back up perhaps....  Had I not been mid pedi I would have gotten up and walked out.  And now thinking back on the situation I wish I had!  Another very nice lady did most of my pedi, but then at the end was told by rude lady to go work on some one else.  The rude lady came back to apply the polish.  She stopped multiple times to get up and go work on someone else while she was supposed to be polishing my nails.  She never spoke to me - just barked orders at the other workers.  I handed the First Lady a cash tip before I went to pay.  I was lucky enough to have the rude lady ring up my pedi.  In her general rude manner she ordered me to give her a cash tip.  I told her I already had tipped the first person who worked on me.  She did not believe me - I guess she wanted a tip from me too but unlucky for her I don't tip rude obnoxious people.  There are signs when you walk in that say tip in cash - I can read so don't keep pushing it down my throat.  I feel sorry for everyone who has to work with this lady.There are so many other places in Mooresville and each and every one I have visited has better customer service.  The only reason I picked this place was because it was open on Sundays. Love this place! I wish I lived around here so I could go to this salon all the time!The atmosphere: Relaxing! I have been to some places that are noisey, kids running wild, employess shouting back and forth, not this place! They try to make you feel relaxed. The chairs are very nice along with the decor of the place in general, it has a modern elegant feel.Service: Great! Attention to detail, my feet and eyebrows look great! Very nice facility, if you disregard the Nail Nazi (aka: Ni) who "greets" you upon entering. "What you want?", "Hi, I'd like a pedicure please.", "Sign name. Sit there.", "Okay, thank you." Insert her grunt here. Her English is excellent so it isn't a cultural barrier, it's just her style. The next patrons were given the eye...as though they walked in carrying a vile of anthrax.The owner hurried up to help me and he was very friendly. The prices are higher than Nails of America and Regal Nails. $25 gets you a basic pedi, no scrub or loofah, those cost upwards of $35-45 and take approx. 1 hour. Those perks are included at America and Regal. I appreciate the very nice nail tech, Lisa, allowing me some quiet time as I relaxed for my pedi....mommy needs to clear her head and zone out. The pedi was very good and I love all the OPI colors. Lisa is very sweet and attentive, not just to me, but those around me.PS: As I left, Nail Nazi was giving Anthrax lady a pedi and was being very nice & talkative so I'm guessing she just needs time to warm up.
