Upsell is the name of the game at this place.  I was offered so many services, I couldn't keep up.  I also didn't expect to pay as much as I did for an underarm wax ($30)!  Had I known it was this much, I would've gone to another salon. On the plus side, the ladies who did my manicure and waxing were very nice and the place was very busy,  so it's a popular spot. I had a very disappointing experience to say the least. I came in and asked for a fill-in. Like every other nail salon they begged me to get gel nail polish because it makes them more money. Before agreeing upon anything I explicitly asked "how much will it come out to altogether including the gel nail polish?" The lady told me it would be $30 (in front of many witnesses) and so I agreed because it was only a small price difference. Before they got to painting my nails they charge my card and when I see the receipt I noticed they charged me five dollars over what they quoted without my permission. When I looked at the receipt and brought this up, the lady explicitly denied ever having told me $30. Typically I wouldn't care about a stupid little five dollar difference if not for the fact that I was lied to and charged an amount on my card that I did not agree to. Meanwhile the whole salon (which was packed) could hear this conversation. Finally to shut me up the lady told me "OK I'll give you 10% off your next manicure to make up for it." First off, 10% does not equate to the five dollars that was stolen from me. Secondly, that's just trying to keep my business and why would I want to go back to that dishonest place again?! They ended up not refunding me my money and over charging my card and even then I was still polite enough to tip 15% which I shouldn't have even done. Needless to say I encourage everyone who goes here to take a look at your receipts and make sure you are being charged the correct amount. They could have easily slipped this past me if I didn't pay attention. I am only giving them two stars because AT LEAST they did a good job on my nails. Read Less

if i could rate it 0 stars, I would... I came in with my mom and sister and it took my mom and i 15 minutes to be seated & they had two nail techs. working on 1 woman. when we finally got seated, my nail technician kept leaving me to finish another customer. The man who did my nails made them all different lengths and shapes and even placed my right middle finger nail crooked and after asking him to fix it, he left it and said "'that's the way my nail was shapedz" Overall, WORST NAIL SALON EXPERIENCE i've ever had!!! I'll be honest, the work is fine.  However,  the customer service is lacking.  Today I was told they closed early because of Father's Day.  Father's Day.   If you're going to do that, at least have advanced signage stating that you'll be closing early.  I'm just going to have a 365 holiday from this place.  When will these businesses learn there are too many options out there to take your customers for granted.  That's ok, their bottom line will tell them. I really like this place. It's big, clean, and the staff is really kind. I've only been here about three times since moving to Matthews three years ago because it's a bit higher up on the pricing scale, but totally worth it. They're nice, but I've been here countless times to get my eyebrows waxed for several years and out of all of those times (a few times a year since I was like 13), I've maybe been pleased with the job they've done twice. They do not take their time and they don't even seem to care what the outcome is as long as you pay them for doing the job... Only reason I keep going back is because it's familiar and I'm not sure of many other places in the area to go to, but I'm sick of always being dissatisfied and always having to fix what they've screwed up. Situated next to Thai Taste shopping center. Popped in for a leg wax. Room was not especially clean. Technician did not really say much at all. Was fair when it came to the wax removal. Her technique needs work. After all i have been waxing for 15 years. I don't have a lot of hair anyway, I would much rather preferred her over many comparable salons. She did go back when I asked and pointed to the missed hairs. I also opted for another service. I had a foot massage thought it would help remove some of the wax she left behind. That again was mediocre. She barely put any effort and was checking her phone whilst she was massaging my feet, really?! What can I say, I am a critic. Just figured it wasn't one of the usual nail salons in all these strip centers around. Situated in pretty mathews station. Prices were higher then most too! Had mani and pedi. The above average quality is due to an excellent dead skin removal from feet, long hand, forearm, sole and calf massage. They are a little pushy to cross sell their services, but that didn't bother me enough to downrate the nail place. Price-wise, they are charging the average fee for this area. So I went to NAILS 3 for an eyebrow wax I left leaving with two different expressions on my face , one eyebrow round and the other straight up n down, wen I asked for a refund they said it will grow back n that I shouldn't get my money back because she spent her time doing the wax, I do not recommend this place, sry. I went to Nails 3 to get an eyebrow waxing, and I was very disappointed in the service. The woman who did my eyebrows had food sitting next to the waxing station. I would have preferred to wait while she finished her lunch than to look at it sitting out around the area that should have been sterile.Also, she took a phone call while she was working on my eyebrows. She was canceling her Old Navy credit card, and she didn't have her social security number right. She was arguing with the Old Navy associate on the phone while she was dumping hot wax in the region of my eyeballs. It was pretty weird.Fortunately, my eyebrows came out ok. The salon seems nice with lots of pedicure chairs and bright, colorful space...I won't be back to see if it was just a fluke, though. Read Less
