Had a wonderful experience with the lovely Amy today!  Gel mani/pedi look beautiful and was very relaxing.  I told Amy I wasn't feeling great (in pain from fibromyalgia) ahead of time and she was so gentle during the massage portion of the services.  Truly the best pedi I've ever had!  Very difficult to enjoy a pedicure with fibro as the touch can linger for hours later.  Very happy with Amy and will be using her from here on out! Had a paraffin pedicure and a regular manicure. Ava was amazing. Foot massage was so relaxing and the pressure was just right. She also gave me a foot cream recommendation for my overly dry heals which I appreciated. My feet felt like a baby's bottom and that's how I like it. This has become my new favorite nail salon. Just went for the first time- on recommendation from a friend. Unfortunately the nail tech was extremely rough with my hands (I got a full set) and made me bleed in multiple places. He filed and buffed more than usual and filed my skin around my nails raw and then put primers and other nail chemicals on them and it burned very very bad. I am now at home with neosporin on all of my fingers. Very painful experience. The nails look great but not worth the injury to my fingers. Read Less

I was in town visiting my family and desperately needed my nails done. I walked into Barefoot around noon and they graciously offered me a mimosa and were able to seat me right away. Kevin did a phenomenal job shaping my full set and carefully paid attention to details making sure everything was perfect for me. Had such a great experience there yesterday. I went with a friend to get pedicures, and called the day before to make sure they had room for us at 2:00. No problem. Got in and picked my polish and they left my feet to soak while the nail tech was finishing up with their previous client. I'm not sure the name of the young man who did my nails, but not only did he do an excellent job, but he had such a great personality! We laughed and chatted like we were friends. He spent extra time on my rough heels and kept checking to make sure he was getting all the rough skin off. Overall my toes left there pretty and polished and my boyfriend is no longer disgusted when I jokingly stick my feet in his face when we are watching tv on the couch. Read Less

Love the fact that you can schedule appointments online (24 hrs in advance), makes it fast & easy! Andy has been doing my nails for almost a year, so when he switches salons, I jumped ship too! Desperate for any bit of pampering during my last month of pregnancy, I popped into Barefoot for a pedicure. Let's be honest, I couldn't see my feet past my bump anyways! I was pleasantly surprised in spite of the strip mall location in Matthews. However, it makes for very easy parking when you have to waddle in.The selection of polishes is fantastic and they are in the midst of major renovations so all of the chairs are brand spanking new which means the massage features all work great. Barefoot was incredibly clean inside and you could see the autoclave machine being used as well as fresh towels being carried out. They offer beverage service including mimosas with fresh strawberries. The pricing was very reasonable. $15 will get you a basic pedicure but there are add one packages with things like paraffin dips or cooling lotions for $30 to $45. The technicians are also all super friendly and easy to chat with. My pedicure lasted a solid three weeks and it was not a gel based one. Read Less

I am a true stickler, edges have to be soft, and the fill in has to be filled in on the sides, etc. The guy I usually see is too far so I was looking for someone new. After reading the review, I knew I had to go. I saw, Kevin for my fill in and Ti for my amazing pedicure. The customer service that I received was great! I went here couple of weeks ago. I got a gel manicure for $30. It was my 1st time being there and getting a gel manicure. I'm very picky to where I go. I thought they have done a good job. The next day I realize I still had dead skin plus she didn't paint my nails well. She also didn't file my nails right that same night I had to file them myself.They are all very nice in there, but I didn't like the ladies job done on me. Read Less
