Went to the location off 9th and Highland (1125). This is the second week In a row I was disappointed. Last week I gave it a pass because there was only one person working. I waited my whole lunch hour for food. Today I went back and ordered fries for me and my co-worker. They were out of the normal fries. I decided to try the new fries. My fries was ready approximately 15/20 minutes later. Once I returned back to work and opened my bag, I was perplexed. The fries looked... like burnt end pieces. No bigger than my finger tip. I called the location and spoke to the manager who stated “I told you we were out of the normal fries”. I told her she could have told me the fries was the size of my finger tip. I know the fries was inexpensive, but it’s the principal. Plus, they was disgusting. This is my last and final time purchasing any food from Ashley’s period. By the way, I stopped purchasing ribs from them because they was good one day. The next time they would be garbage. No consistency. Just had dinner there. The ribeye was to say the least not what one would expect for a $28 cut of meat. For a 1lb cut there should have been a little color to it, however it was completely gray and without flavor. The girlfriend ordered the Sunday spare ribs and was told after the order was placed that they were out. We were scoping out the restaurant and hotel to see if we wanted to stay there. The food is good. However, they really need to get it together as far as customer service and business hours! You wait forever for bbq that's already cooked...? Why does it take so long to plate and bag food and get people out the door? They have a hold on the market for the moment, but if a real professional black restaurant comes along that has it's sh-- together, I will switch and so will everyone else! Read Less

My wife and I had dinner at the Port Washington location 2/17/18 to celebrate her 65th birthday. We had what turned out to be the worst dinning experience we have had in our 38 years together. Her shrimp dish was nothing more than shrimp in a sauce ladled over noodles. I I had a rib eye that was more fat than steak prepared and presented in a way that I have never seen. If you are going to charge $28 for a piece of meat, you should at least know what it should look like. The service was inept, there was a table of uneaten food left uncleared next to us, and at one point the lights were turned up so high that my eyes hurt.Read Less

AMAZING!! There were four of us. Two of had the catfish. OMG, can't say enough good things about it! Sides of fries, green beans and Mac & cheese. Green beans were delicious. Mac and cheese was good. This place is AMAZING definatly recommended to every girl this place is completely sanitary and then use different tools every time the do a pedicure and they put a plastic cover (a new one) every time they give you a pedicure over the tub! Read Less
