I don't like to read long reviews so I try not to write long ones but these people may be the exception. I was a regular customer of Kelly (who I think owns the place with her husband, who also works there) for several years. I always made an appointment with her because she did the best job ever on my nails plus she was very friendly. Then one day a year or so ago I called for an appointment, was put on hold and then told to come in and let someone else do my nails because Kelly wouldn't be working on the day I requested. I asked about another day. After another hold I was once again told to come in and let someone else do me, Kelly wouldn't be there. So I asked when she would be there, willing to work around her schedule. The girl said Kelly wanted to be home with her little boy. Okay, I could never fault a mom for that. Since I was pretty much told she wasn't working anymore I went in and ended up letting the husband do my nails. I didn't like them and they started lifting right away. I decided to go back to the place I had gone to before nail time. I stayed there about a year or so and then received a gift certificate from nail time recently and decided to go in for a pedicure and just get my nails done while I was there. When I went in the husband, who seems to have a Jekyll/Hyde personality, stared at me for awhile before asking what I needed. I wasn't thrilled with the atmosphere of the whole place or the job the guy (different guy from the husband) did on my pedicure and nails. He made it plain to me that he didn't like working there and at one point said, "Time is money." Yes, I realize that but as a business owner myself I would never say that to a customer. He should have been pretty happy because he did both the pedicure and my nails in about an hour. While he was doing my nails who should sit down beside us to do someone's nails but Kelly! When she saw me she was very friendly and said she hadn't seen me in so long. I said I was told you didn't work here anymore. She looked confused and said she'd never stopped working. Even though the atmosphere wasn't good I thought, what the heck, I don't want to live here, I just want my nails done so I'll come back to Kelly. So next time around I called and made an appointment for a Monday. I was called back in a few minutes and told she wouldn't be there that day. I can usually be flexible but was having out of town company and Monday was the only day I could make it. I realized I'd have to let someone else do the upcoming appointment but was hoping I could just start dealing with Kelly instead of a go-between. I asked if she was available for me to speak to. Although while you are in the salon the employees love to speak to each other in their language, the girl made it a point to put the phone down and say in English loud enough for me to hear, "Oh, now she wants to speak to YOU." She made it sound like I was asking for a kidney or something. Kelly answered the phone in an unfriendly voice. When I explained I wanted to try to work things out to come back to her, she said rudely, "Who is this?!" By this time I was feeling like I just wanted to hang up but couldn't bring myself to be so rude. When I explained who I was she became very friendly. Until I asked if I could get her phone number so I could text her in the future to set up an appointment. At that point she hung up on me. So, Kelly, if you see this, I just want to say I wasn't looking to be your best friend or stalk you. I just wanted to make an appointment to have my nails done and give you some of my hard-earned money. Although I loved the way you did my nails, there is a nail salon on every corner so I won't be bothering you anymore. Read Less
