Just received an ombre pink&white from Tony 2 and omg he took his time and made it absolutely amazing. Best manicure I've ever had! Everywhere else I've been has been rough, given me crooked nails, filed my fingers near my nails, or made my cuticles bleed. This was the most gentle and best looking manicure I've ever had in my life. Showed him a pic from Pinterest and he got it identical. I also got a classic pedicure from the wife of Tony 1 (so sorry I didnt catch her name) and she was beyond sweet and patient with my ticklish feet. I will be going to no one else from here on out! I went once and never will go back. If you've never been here, please don't consider this nail salon. 1. The man filing my toenails filed so hard it caused my skin to bleed (ouch!). He never acknowledged it or apologized. (Fortunately I don't have any bloodborne pathogens, but he proceeded to paint my nails so I cringe to think of how unsanitary the whole operation could be.) 2. My 7 year-old daughter spoke up to the woman filing her toenails, asking her to stop and skip th...e filing. The attendant told her no (that "socks would get caught on the nails" if she didn't file) and proceeded to file away until she was done! I wasn't aware of this until we were in the parking lot afterwards and my daughters told me, but as a mother I am infuriated that, essentially, my daughter asked an adult to stop doing something to her body that she didn't like and the adult ignored her and did it anyway. I had a lovely experience here. Nail salons in Jacksonville are often overpriced for their lack luster minimal service. Annie was awesome. I was not expecting much from the $18 deluxe manicure. Jacksonville has conditioned me to pay more for nothing. I often feel as though I should be grateful for being my nails to them. If Annie felt this way it wasn't apparent. From the heated oil treatment to soften my cuticles, the attention to detail, to the two different massages. Thanks Annie! Then off to Van for a lovely pedicure. I am visiting from out of town. I checked the reviews for a lot of places around my parents house. Lee's had average reviews so I decided to take a chance. Prices are a bit higher then I pay in Florida but she explained the value to me. She took time to check what I wanted and explained how she could give me exactly what I wanted. She kept asking if I liked what she was doing during the whole session. I left a very happy customer. My nails have never looked so good. She made me feel very comfortable the entire time. This is my go-to spa and nail salon in Jacksonville. Most everyone there does a great job with shellac manis AND pedis so I don't have to make an appt with anyone in particular, which is very helpful. They tend to get very busy after working hours or on the weekends so I try to come in during the week and early in the day if I have time. I am sitting in my pedicure chair now writing this.. I have been here for the last 3 months since my last visit to another shop which the wait was wayyyyyy too long. Anyways .. I just had a nice glass of wine and got an amazing pedicure from miss Arlene ! She is absolutely great. She's very focused and extremely sweet. Her pedicures are great! She cleans up.. massages well and does exactly what you ask for. I'm particular about my toes. I love them in a very square and perfect alignment.. with a pink and French white! She did just that! I also love coming here to get my nails done. I'm a big gel person but I prefer not to do designs. This place doesn't have all that crazy extra stuff so it's nice . Went here on a whim today after work. I used to religiously get my nails done but stopped for a few months to give my natural nails a break. I decided to get a full set today and an eyebrow wax. Immediately after coming in, I was seated and Vivian (who I will be returning to again!) started working on my nails. I like my nails long and pointed and she nailed it, no pun intended lol. Not only was she fast, but she was very good and detail oriented. I got my eyebrows waxed after my nails were finished & was very satisfied with them. The place is very clean and the staff are very nice. I paid $39.00 for a full set and eyebrow wax and it was worth every penny! I will definitely be returning here every two weeks. The staff here is so lovely and accommodating. My mom wanted to gift me with some pampering here after I had a baby and they did not disappoint. The gentleman who took care of my mom was very friendly and chatty with her, went well above the call of duty (mom talks a lot!). I have been a customer of Lee Spa & Nails from the time they first opened in Jacksonville. I have witnessed the management's handling of numerous situations that arise when you have a business dealing with the public on the level of any nail spa. I have NEVER witnessed the turning away of a customer because they have children. From all that I have experienced this business fully understands they exist in a military town where dad's are often deployed and mom's have no choi...ce but bring children along for srevices. Yes I have witnessed loud children in this business and have even seen the staff try and assist mothers who's children were not happy campers. I have seen them deal with difficult situation that walked through the door but I have never witnessed the management's dealing in any other way than care and concern for there customers, honesty and care for the life of their business. I came to get a mani and a pedi for the first time in years! I was so excited, I got a sloppy nail job from a woman who seemed to careless about her job, nail polish all over my fingers. Then the lady who did my feet wouldn't quit rambling on about her family drama, so is it wasn't relaxing at all to say the least! Shellac last 3+ weeks with no chipping, the manicures are excellent (haven't got a pedi yet), they guarantee their work for 5 days as well which is a huge plus, and finally, the staff is all very friendly and professional. It's beautiful inside this place. Very unassuming as it is located in the plaza where the Lowe's Foods is. I had an urge to get a pedicure one particular afternoon so in I went. They have a clean and welcoming environment, a decent supply of colors, very clean and spacious. The pedicure prices range from $18 for a basic to over $40 for paraffin and other add-ons. I chose the #2 which comes with a 10 minute foot massage. It was lovely. I would have rated 5 stars but my lady was a bit aloof, more concerned with other things and people than attention to service.
