Wish I could give them a NEGATIVE star review. It seemed as though it was the first time EVER that the staff member doing my pedicure had ever done one. The manager was of NO help; was actually very rude that I dared to ask that someone else take care of me. Went in here without an appointment about 30 minutes after opening and they were able to take me in right away. I got a simple gel manicure, which came out amazing! This salon is a crock, they have completely ruined my nails. I liked the appearance of the salon, but the people who work there not so much, the man who did my toes was a complete jerk, kept making continuous digs about my feet being swollen and me being chunky, I am usually a size 6 and 7 months pregnant, but the man who did my nails was semi-decent. I went there about two weeks ago with a group of friends, this is not my normal salon, we had pedicures done and I had full set done. This was not my first time having acrylic nails. Two days ago, I had a nail break off which when it did completely ruined my nail, I have never seen anything like it before. I made an appointment at my regular salon and went in to have it looked at, in hopes they could just put on a new nail and fill-in the old. I had no idea what I was getting into. She suggested that we soak-off my nails, which I have had done before, and in normally 20 minutes or so they are off. I soaked for over 2 1/2 hours in the soak off bowl, as well as my technician using the e-file, and what ever product they used at this salon is still not completely off of my nails. It is honestly almost like they used concrete, the white tip underneath completed melted underneath the top and the "acrylic" or "quick-rete" as I am now referring to it, didn't even budge. My technician informed me that my nail plate has suffered a lot of damage, and now my nails are ruined, which I still have a layer of the product on my nails. I have been going monthly to get gel pedicures. The last 3 months that I have gone there I have left with bleeding feet. When they try to scrape off the gel polish, they use a coarse file that they rub all over the skin next to the nail (this wouldn’t happen if they weren’t in such a hurry and took the time to make sure t was only touching the nail.) it rubs my skin raw, causing bleeding. They then pour all sorts of chemicals in to the open wound, including alcohol. It hurts so much. The last 3 times I have gone, my toes have bled on the way home and then scabbed over. I had 4 scans around my toe nails last month and it looks AWFUL. I spend way to much money here to have this consistently happening. I tried to call the manager as soon as I left today to make him aware, by their phone system/phone lines are so awful you can’t hear anything they say except static. Same things happens when you call to make an appointment. When making previous appointments I literally have to yell in to my phone what time I want to come in and who I want to see and hope for the best. The only reason they got a 2 start rating was because this place is actually clean and well lit. The service is terrible. Read Less

The salon is very nice, but the owner and some of the workers are rude. The quality of work that they do should be way better for how nice the salon is. Every time I go here, they do an amazing job with my acrylic nails. I have issues with biting my real nails and after a couple days, I chewed off the polish on my thumbs and they re-did them for free! I normally don’t write reviews, but in this situation, I felt it was necessary. I removed my acrylics today after having them on for about three weeks. Once removed, I was shocked to see that three of my fingers had fungus on them! In all my years of getting acrylics, I have never had an issue with fungus. I will not be returning to this salon. I’m a reg cust here & have never had a prob till yesterday. The lady doing my gel mani asked if I wanted my nails shorter & I said NO, I just want them shaped. She filed my nails short (and I was upset bc these are my real nails, not acrylics). Then the polish on the side ends of my pinky & ring fingers are bulged bc she used too much polish. When I politely spoke to the msngr he had the nerve to tell me the manicurist understands English so I must’ve told her to file my nails short & that the bulged polish is just how my nails grow. Gone many times. Two times ago, (don’t remember her name) recommend gel so I said sure since it lasted a while. It looked great and lasted 3-4 weeks. Came back for a mani pedi like usual and needed a fill and I’m guessing the owner or manager, did my fill and repainted (with gel), about 8 days later it started chipping and last night a huge chunk chipped off and it hasn’t even been 2 weeks since I’ve gotten them done. My pedicure was great though. I never pay attention to the names obviously, but usually I’m not so picky or try not to be but thank you, Wang for a great pedi. I think next time I will ask for the lady who did the gel on my nails the first time. Every time the manager guy does them (which he has quite a few times) I’m never pleased. I tried tgis nail salon for the first time and I can probably say it will be my last. I shouldn't have recieved a pedicure and have my feet feeling worse than before i went in. I got charged extra to do less work on my nails and he didn't listen to how I wanted them done. No conversation, when I tried to talk he was very short with me like I don't know what I'm talking about. I have had my nails done enough times to know what I'm talking about and the fact that I'm a cosmet...ologist I surely know what the heck I'm talking about. Despite all of that I said well it's his first time doing my nails. He just needs time to get to know how I like them. I then tried to make an appointment with him before i leave for an important trip and he told me to call a couple days before bc he doesn't know if he will want to work that day. I had a great experience here! The place had a nice atmosphere and felt a little more upscale compared to some other places I had been to in the area. I got the spa pedicure which was $27 plus $15 because I wanted gel so with tip it came out to $50 which is a tad on the high end but it was totally worth it. I got wine which is always nice and the guy who did my pedi took a lot of care into what he was doing. He did not rush which I appreciated. I will definitely be back! Read Less

The last time I went I got a pedicure it was rushed they barely let you enjoy what you pay for. I gave them another shot cause I had gone there a while ago and referred people to go there maybe they had a bad day. Went there today for a full set and pedicure. I got my pedicure it was a lot better then the last one and when I was done they sat me down for my nails and he started a regular mani and I said I was getting a full set and they told me no I have to make an appointmen...t I stated that when I walked in I told them full set and pedicure. They then told me I had to wait 30 minutes before they can start. Very unorganized and rude! The guy who greeted us then said that we didn't tell him full set when I know I did and I wrote it down on their sign in! Also while my mother In law was getting her pedicure the guy taking care of the lady next to her was making fun of the elderly lady while she was walking to dry her nails. This place is horrible in comparison to a lot of others in Jacksonville. After making appointments my mother and I were told we had to wait. Then during our pedicures Mickey and Jim were very very rude referring to a customer as a beached whale. After finishing my polish I asked for a design of which instead of saying I can't do design Mickey drew what looked like a rake with some dots on my toe nail and was upset when I said I didn't like it. There are so many other places in Jacksonville to go that will treat you well and provide the service you want. Don't give Grand Nail Salon your money. The place looks great but the service isn't worth it. Shaming larger people and providing bad service isn't what ladies what when they come in for a pedicure. Please share this review. I recieves a gift certiface here as a present and So far this is the best nail spa experience I have ever had. I treated my little sister to a girls day and it was by far, both of our best experiences. I had a woman named Mimi and I got a fill in and eye brow wax. My nails and eyebrows look flawless. One of the best nail salons in Jacksonville. Every time I have gone, they have had amazing customer service and fit me in with no appointment. I always get gel done on my nails and I got them done three weeks ago and they still look perfect! I would say they are average on prices. So I came out of town and for the sugar spa pedicure was nice n relaxing tho I feel after so much callus removal my bottoms would a been much smoother than they were. The salon is beautiful and the staff is friendly; HOWEVER, I left today very disappointed with the quality of service I received. I recently went home to Texas and got a NextGen manicure at a salon there -- beautiful! My natural nails with what looks like simple polish but stays on for weeks! I was excited to get a new NextGen color in Jacksonville. First, I asked for a French manicure and was told that they don't do that with NextGen (they do. My mom gets hers done all the time). Then the lady took forever - she used the drill a lot (the salon in Texas didn't use the drill at all). She cut three of my fingers (one pretty bad) and instead of sanitizing the cut, she stuck it in the NextGen powder (where who knows how many other germy fingers have been!) The nails are super thick and look like glue on nails. I asked for white with sparkle-- she put so many layers of sparkle that my nails are silver. Not white at all. When the place first opened I went and got a pedicure it was very nice and I got an awesome pedicure.  I went yesterday and got a pedicure and the number one thing I had a problem with is the tools they used were not in a separate bag they were taking them off a tray in the back just before going out to do the pedis.  Probably not clean!  And I got the worst pedicure ever I didn't even feel like I had received one. They are the highest priced which I don't mind paying if you get a great pedicure!! There were 4 ppl missing that work there I don't know if this is why they were skimping but I won't go back!! Everyone there felt the way I did. Cheated!! I should have refused to pay for the service I didn't receive,  but I'm just not like that but lesson learned  and I'm getting the word out. Came in for a simple "polish change" Yes the atmosphere is pretty but the service is less than impressive. I paid 45$ for gel paint on my toes n fingers. Mind you, u did not get a pedicure or fill in, just a polish change. Which is normally 26$ any other salon in Jacksonville. I called to ask if I was overcharged and the girl said she was sorry and she believed I was over charged & would have the management call me. 2 days later, nobody contacted me. So I called back and spoke with the owner & his response was that they charge more than other salons. Really? Almost 20$ more?! I asked why their prices were not posted like most salons & he told me I should have asked to see a pamphlet if I wanted to know the prices. I'm beyond furious. He ended the call by saying I'm sorry we lost a customer in you. Wow. Over priced. Deceiving. Mediocre service. Rude management. Long wait times. so i wanted to go this place because it was close to me and made an appoiment for my nails, the result was so bad, i asked for a simple color model and they made it look so bad also my nails have different looking plus i went also to wax my eyebrows and i told the lady to not mess up the construction and take only what is extra, after that when i looked in the mirror i had half of my right eyebrow gone. defo not going there again. I noticed this place a few days ago and saw that it was very busy and looked super nice on the inside. Finally got the chance to go today and take my mom with me. This place is so clean compared to a lot of the other nail salons I've been to in Jacksonville. The people were friendly and the atmosphere was very nice. It's busy, but not packed. Nothing special about this nail salon.  Sure it looks all fancy inside, but it's just another nail place.  Went in with my husband to do pedicures, I made an appointment for us and when we got there no one acknowledged us until about 5 minutes after waiting then we were told we couldn't be seen for about 2 hours I told them I had an appointment and was told "oh", then nothing from anyone in there for over 30 minutes!  We sat down to do our pedicures and it was mediocre service!  They used scrunched up paper towels between my toes while painting... I mean it's over priced and they can't even use the foam toe separators.  The paint job was just ok, no one asked if I wanted a design or anything, I could've just painted my toes myself.  Seems like every place in this town is way over priced for average service.  I have lived in the most expensive cities in America and this city by far is ridiculously over priced for all services, seems like prices are jacked up to take advantage of the military.  All and all it was just another nail salon and I was excited to have a new place open up that looked upscale, but looks are deceiving! Two of my nails were burnt like hell with that stupid drill bit and I absolutely did not want acrylic but I didn't know better when he pulled out the acrylic substances and put it on my nails. I asked for a regular clear top coat just to get out because my two fingers are on fire and then they put gel on! (I was fed up my middle finger somehow had a cut on it and had pooled up blood!!) My fingers are SO SORE and I'm getting these removed as soon as I can. I absolutely love this place! I'm new to the area and I had a hard time finding a nail salon that was suitable. The overall atmosphere is great, so calm and serene. I like the customer service, too. (They offered bottled water) I have been here twice and I've had Tim as my nail tech both times. He definitely takes care of my nails and I never feel rushed. The pricing isn't bad either. Love! Love! Love! This place!! Staff is amazing it's so pretty and relaxing here. Been to a lot of nail salons in Jacksonville but this is the BEST and my new go too.
