I’ve only ever gone to get my eyebrows done here. They listen to my requests, and always make sure to rub out the pain after they pull the strip off. That’s my bottom line for determining a good eyebrow wax! They aren’t very friendly probably because they’re always so busy. I make sure to go in the middle of the day so that I don’t wait for forever too. I’d say over all, meh. But I do always leave with pretty eyebrows. I used to really like going here and getting my nails done. I even looked over the front desk girl (short brown hair) always being rude but the last time I went was the finale straw. She was talking shit about my friend right in front of me to another co worker and mocking her for the way she was saying a particular nail color and how she used to get it back home... like show some professionalism. When I sat down I wasn’t sure my tech knew what he was doing, and now I’m positive he either didn’t or he was just trying to hurry up and finish. I’ve gotten multiple manicures over the past couple months ( and years) and it seemed like he was skipping steps.... also When you pay for gel/ Shellac polish you expect it to last at least a week (preferably more) and at those prices I shouldn’t have to peel the polish off my skin... it looks messy and I’m a bit disappointed. over priced for nails that are sloppy. I had an appointment the last two times I came in but yet had to wait because they were allowing walk ins to get their nails done. My nails were not even length and my middle nail was put on crooked. When I went back to get it fixed I let the guy know so he could fix my nail....he just sanded my nail down to try to make it look straight...they have poor customer service and are rude when you confront them about their poor work/customer service. Today I brought my daughter like I do every other Sunday. Perfect place for some good relaxing with an awesome pedicure. Aloha Nails is the only place to go in Jacksonville, in my opinion. The desk girl needs to understand that if she simply looks at the schedule of appointments she can tell walk-ins if there is time to fit them in. Rather then have 10 people waiting 2 hours. No exaggeration. 2 hours we all waited. And one by one left as we became frustrated. Just politely tell customers they are fully booked. Don’t even let them sign in. I have been to Aloha before but was extremely impressed this time enough to write a review. I just cut my nails super short because I wasn't planning on getting them done. Spur of the moment I decided to get them done. My friend and I tried to go on a payday Friday night.... bad decision with out an appointment don't do it. We waited 2 hours and we just decided to make an appointment for the next day (Saturday). On Saturday I waited an hour after my appointment time before I was seen because of that I give it four stars. But besides that Ryan did a phenomenal job. He gave me exactly what I told him I wanted and was articulate about it. Once he got started he was very fast as well. I will be a returning customer. It definitely is worth the wait. I came in with a picture of a nail design and style I wanted & left out with plain nude nails because I was told yes they can do everything and I could get what I wanted and someone else would do my design- when it was time to ask him if I could get my design he said that’s powder and he couldn’t do it, so I don’t understand why mike couldn’t of showed him in the first place so i could of got what i wanted. Very fairly priced for what you get and they are the most detailed and professional looking nails I’ve had done in my life. A year ago Ceasar and I think Ken came in and told me to come in. I finally decided to go and get a set. Haven't had fake nails since I was 19 (currently 31). Caesar recognized me after only meeting me once a year ago. A man named Tony did my nails and I really like them. I understand the wait can be crazy. I have given this location two or three chances in the last year mainly because I had a friend who went religiously. I was not incredibly happy with their services. Wait times I can understand but overall my nails would always come out crooked, and uneven, and the polish never lasted long. Plus they overcharge their customers. I called ahead of time to ask them how much a simple gel polish would cost and they told me $15 at most. When the man finished my nails I was then charged $20 instead, and the gel only lasted a week! This Aloha Nails overcharged me on a acrylic/pedicure for my daughter and I... What would have normally cost me $50 for both of us at Foxy Nails ended up costing me $199 at Aloha. I don't know why it cost me so much. I guess that is why they were able to afford the new expansion update on their business... cheating people out of their hard earned money. Make sure you get the exact of your services and make sure they don't grind your nail-bed down too much. Have them use a nail file no the electric nail grinder. They ruined my nail-bed. This is my second visit here. First visit I didn't get service as there was a two hour wait. I made an appointment this time. Appointment was at 10 and I didn't get done until a few minutes after 1. I got a gel pedicure and gel fill-in done. I appreciate the precision but thankfully I had no other plans today. My nails came out great and I'd definitely come back again. Only if I have no plans...as that was very time consuming. Over my nails look lovely. (Besides the one crocked nail that I "supposedly had already" which wasn't true. Be careful as sometimes they get a little file happy and file away stuff that can't be easily fixed.... if that didn't happen 4 stars would have been my rating. Awful! Overpriced! File so thin nails pop off after a week and gems you have to pay extra! I think when you pay $75 for a set of nails they should last and be a bit durable but this set was not they filed them way too thin they popped off after a week 20 dollars for gems and they don’t stay on started coming off when we went and asked them to rectify they wanted to charge us another $35 just to do a fill I will never go to Aloha nails again nor will I recommend them very sad! I absolutely love getting my nails done and a recent situation I had and how they handled it made it very clear that they are the best! I went in to get a fill in and try a new design. Simon did my nails and did a fantastic job! I went home absolutely in love and got some many compliments. The next day I woke up and noticed that some of the polish had chipped through the night and there were bubbles that I hadn’t noticed the day before. I ended up going back to the salon and showed them what was going on. They instantly got me sat down and fixed not only the nails that had the bubbles but all of them and made them perfect! These are some of the nicest and funniest people. The salon is a awesome place to relax and get away! For as long as I live in Jacksonville I will always go to Aloha Nails. Read Less

I used to be a regular at this place but stopped going because I got a nail infection from them not cleaning their supplies properly. BE CAREFUL! Yes, their nail art is beautiful but it's not worth your health. Hadn't ever had that problem before and since I haven't been back I haven't had that problem since. Scenery is nice and that's about the only thing nice in there. The lady at the front desk was rude and didn't even greet us or speak to us, until we asked a question. My friend and I went in to get a pedicure and acrylic set. While getting our pedis the nail technicians made jokes and talked amongst themselves and but did not engage conversation with us. Worst pedicure ever. Didn't even let person finish. Had appointment and had to wait almost an hour after the appointment time to get service. Once service started, nail person was not interested in anything but what was going on elsewhere. When starting to push cuticles very rough and had to pull my foot away. Then instead I of trimming cuticle ripped the the side cuticle from nail to base and kept pulling instead of trimming. Happened to 2 toes before I told him I was done. I have NEVER had a pedicure like this. When I went to leave the owner of salon asked what happened and showed now concern that I was upset about the service. Another female nail tech asked what happened and when told what happened she also shrugged it off like it was no concern to her. Nice looking place however they are terribly inefficient when it comes to customer wait times- I've been here over an two hours just waiting to get my nails done- and that's just ridiculous. I had a full set from another local nail salon but was unhappy with them and wanted to get them filled elsewhere. When I sat down to get them filled Timmy explained to me that they were lifting and that it would be damaging to fill them in. Disappointed, he took them off and placed a new french set on my nails. He was fast, and omg they look amazing!!! Im serious it might be the best french full set I've ever gotten. If you are looking for an acrylic full set this is your place!My advice: MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. I made the mistake of walking in around noon on a Friday and I waited 45 minutes before I was seen. I knew my nails were jacked up and I literally didn't know where else to go so I waited. Let me just tell you, these people are saints. First time I went there, I had taken off my nails from someone else, got a full set and was beyond happy with how they treated me. Then I went to someone else for just a fill in and nail color because it was more convenient. That was the worst mistake ever. So, I went back to Aloha and they soaked off my nails, redid them, Simon shaped my nails and they look so freakin perfect. Then Timmy did my nail design and I fell in love with them.
