Very nice place super clean, friendly staff came here because my nail tech named Nam of more than 5 years works here and he does An amazing Job !!! Best nail tech In Charlotte HANDS DOWN!! I have been going to the salon for a couple years, and Amanda was great. Amanda left and my quality of nail care went downhill from there at times. My normal person could not do my nails today, even though I had set an appointment. Product of miscommunication. Mickey is the owner was not there, but her brother was recommended to do my nails because he was one of the few who could do S&S. He treated me absolutely despicable today to the point that I willing to walk out with wet feet. I called Mickey at her other salon to let her know as she owns one in Ballantyne. I highly encourage you to take your money else where. I came there to kick spring break off with my 9yr old and have mother/ daughter mani pedi relax time. They were in such a rush ( and no one was there) they took my daughter and seperated us. I had to request that they stop with here pedi because we are going to enjoy this time together. I had to continue tell the short buff guy to correct issues on my nails that he was currently working on. I explained to him that the first time I was there the gel polish came off after 2 days. I asked him why would that happen because it was a waist of $ for me? He had no answer. As I was drying, a young lady sat down to dry and she looked unsatisfied and her boyfriend told her to "go back and have them to correct it." Needless to say the acrylic on my nails has chipped already after 3 days. I would not recommend this business. I got the hot rocks pedicure and a gel polish and my service was awesome! I will definitely be back. Took my 14 year old daughter to get her nails done. While her nails came out great, the person that did them was awful. Was texting her boyfriend the entire time (his name was Baby Daddy) while using tons of profanity. Yes, she had the screen situated so my daughter could read the whole thing. Her cussing to Baby Daddy about having to do these "d##n nails" (actually worse). She never spoke to my daughter...just texted away. This was for over 30 minutes. I called to ask what time they close today, they said regular time, 7:30 pm. I drove over there, got inside only to be told they just decided to close early ! There were still other customers there. I was looking forward to relaxing & was very disappointed. I would not have driven over here, in traffic, had I been told the truth on the phone. I wish they would have accommodated me under the circumstances since they still had other customers & it was a very last minute decision. I have been a loyal customer of Nails Up for 10 years. When I began Mickey (the salon owner) was my nail technician. I have referred multiple clients to this salon. Today I brought my 3 year old daughter in to have a mommy and daughter day. I am beyond disgusted in the customer service and treatment from Mickey. I called at 2:30 to see if my nail tech would be available and was told she would be at 3:30. My daughter and I came in shortly after. Mickey polished my daughter...s finger nails and placed foil on my hands. I waited for 40 minutes as my nail tech was asked to do someone else before me. After 40 minutes I had to take the foil off my nails myself because it was burning. In total we waited 1 hour and a half before I ended up leaving. During this time Mickey never came to speak to us, offer us anything to drink, apologize, etc. Upon bringing this to Mickey's attention she ignored me and walked to the other side of the salon. I've tried several places in Huntersvilleand Nails Up is the place I've liked the most so far. I was most pleasantly surprised when I found them. I was offered water upon arrival. Great pedicure but horrible manicure, I got gel and asked for square shape neither of which were worth it. My gel is now peeling off one day later, definitely not worth the $65 paid for it.
