The first two times I went here were fine, the girls were really sweet, thorough, and everything went fine. Despite the feeling that the place was a little dirty- It's the feeling I get at most nail salons so I went back for a third time.. big mistake. This time I came in with a friend and got the owner. He rushed the entire thing, didn't wash his hands or the station I was at, didn't give any lotion, was rude, didn't respond to anything I said, and charged the full price for what I would consider as just a polish change. After I paid I asked him, "so I have had the girls before and they gave me the lotion massage for my hands, do you not do that?" And he didn't respond he just stared at me. I asked him again and the he just said "no I don't". I won't be coming back here and I don't suggest you do either. Two stars are for the poor girls having to work for him. Read Less

I wanted my nails to be pretty and didn't want any artificial nails so I went here and asked for the gel polish! OMG! I love the way my nails look and the gentleman that did them was so great! Reasons why I will NOT return:1)Children running wild inside nail salon. 2)Not very clean.3) only one guy to communicate with that barely speaks English. 4) No selections as far as gel polish colors.5) when they do gel polish on toes, they still use UV light! 6) horrible foot massage.7) no lotion hand massage after manicure. I would not recommend. Not sure why but they would not service me. I walked in at 12:09 p.m.. The shop was empty and the older gentlemen told me I needed to make an appointment. I asked him why when your shop is empty. Maybe they know something I don't. Shop had no customers in it. All I know is I was refused service. Will not go back and wouldn't recommend. Read Less

If I could give this place 0 stars I would! I went to this facility on a Friday, the lady who did my nails did a HORRIBLE job, I am assuming she was new. I called in the next morning when they opened, telling them about how my nail paint was uneven, she had paint all over my skin, it was very thick, my nails were discolored(ie: had a BLACK tent on the top) and when would be a good time to come back and get them fixed. So I came in around 2 or 3 that same day I made the call, and when I got there the main lady said "oh I know what your here for". The manager Lee, came to me and asked me what was wrong, I explained again to him, as I did on the phone, what the issue was. He is then going to tell me that, I got "mood changing colors" on my nails and that the problem is that I need a manicure and following told me that he didn't see any paint on my skin or the unevenness of the paint, and said "oh you need pedicure too" and then told me that he was not going to redo them. He was completely belittling what my concern, when the customer "is always right". I said that if he is not going to fix what was wrong then give me my money back! I am not going to be paying for a service that was not even good! He said give you your money back, you think I am going to do it for fee?! then laughed and sat down. I set there thinking the other lady who would NORMALLY do my nails would do them. I sat for about 25-30 mins and then I looked up and here comes 3 police officers walking in. He called the police on me for sitting down and because HIS WORKERS DID A TERRIBLE JOB ! I have been to many of nail shops, and if I ever had an issue there was no question they would fix it ! Being that I have been there before and I also tipped the lady, I was competly rubbed and I will never go back to that place again and if it was you, you probably would not go again! Save your money.  Went there to get my gel polish off and also got a manicure.  The technician, Lee, was funny at first.  But when he started working on my nails, I told him he was hurting me.  He actually made my cuticles so raw and drew blood.  I asked for my nails to be shaped like an oval and he didn't like it.  He started talking to other techs and the techs looked at me.  I have no clue as to what he said but I'm sure it wasn't a good.  The only thing he used during the manicure was water.  By the time I left, my fingers were hurting.  No lotion, no conditioning oil for the cuticles.  He was very unkempt.  I really should've walked out but I wanted to support this local business.  I won't be going back.  And my nails?  Square shaped. My favorite nail salon in the Hillsborough Durham area. I've tried a few other places at Southpoint and around Hillsborough and you get hands down the best service on Mani/Pedi for the price. It's not hard to get in but I usually call for a same day appointment.  The place is clean and the staff friendly. I would say I go 3 to 4 times a year for the last 9 years and every time I've tried anywhere else I regret it and end up back at Orchid Nails. Read Less
