Asked by female employee to not come in to shop first thing in the morning when they open because it would look bad for customers to see me getting a repair/correction and I should come late in the evening for correction. I visited La Vie Nails on 10/8 around 6pm for manicure & pedicure. I typically get regular polish, but nail tech was telling about gel tips on my hands for $10 more and I did. They had a specific brand set with gel polish & regular polish of similar color. I decided to try it. I wasn’t placed under the nail dryer lamp since I had dried while getting manicure. Went back to the nail salon after work on 10/9 and politely pointed to the one toe that the polish came off & other toe that was partially removed even though I had only wore flip flops & open toe sandals. LHe touched my toes up and gave me a coat of polish on each nails and had me sit in pedicure section for about 30 minutes without getting under the dryer lamp. I left. On Friday I noticed the little toe’s polish was gone. I went back on 10/12 at 10:16am and said it happened again. The lady and two men were in the shop alone. I said he polish came off one toe completely. It must be the polish. The lady said not to come back in the morning for problems cause it looks bad for business. I thought I misunderstood her. Then man who did my nail said it is regular polish. I said I know and have always had regular polish put on my toes and it stays for weeks without coming off and doesn’t come off in one full piece so must be something with polish. I went back to lady to ask what does she mean not come back in the morning if I am a customer and have a problem with service. I told her I came there the first time politely and never said to her customers why I was there even when asked. I didn’t take the polish off of one toe. She said it is bad off business when I come first thing and I asked when I should come. She said around 6 or later. Told me not to do it again and then told me to come on so they could fix it. I told them no I don’t want it and will just take it off. I will never patronize there business. I walked away while she was asking me to come back. The second man yelled at me to say that I had come back twice. I told him I did because of their product. Told them to check their product and left. I have never expected that type of treatment. The work was not the best, but the politeness, conversation, cleanness and Christian music playing made it a pleasant experience despite subpar work. I even tipped him better than I should with a 20% tip due to the experience and they become rude over providing one drop of nail polish. I wouldn’t recommend this nail shop for SNS. They do the SNS too thin so your nails will break, crack and chip within in a week. Also make sure when choosing your color for SNS that you select at least 3 backup shades because they don’t have the majority of the colors that is on the nail swatches. The lady who attempted to do my nails soaked off my previous SNS color then after choosing four colors because each time I selected a color they couldn’t find it or didn’t have it she finally says “come back next week when we get some more colors”. That right there told me they aren’t interested in servicing SNS customers. There are too many nail salons, don’t select this one! Read Less
