TRINA!!!Trina is an awesome nail professional that knows her craft and is on time and brings it home!  I wanted a curved set of nails and could not find anyone in the Raleigh area that knew how to do them.  Ms. Trina to the rescue.  She build up the curve on the nail, so ingenious, of a natural curve tip and made it look like the BOMB, just like in the 80's and 90's.Trina us very patient, a perfectionist and can draw  all kinds of cool and funky designs and top them off with rhinestones.  The result was FANTASTIC!! I love this place. I have lived in the area for approx 9 months and had not found a place where I actually liked the people or the acrylics they put on. Linda is wonderful and polite. I am very particular about my acrylics and this is the first place I have found where they aren't lifting after the first fill. I recommend an appt be made. Read Less

I'll be the first to admit I'm very particular when getting my nails done... luckily I found Trina at DJ nails!! She's careful, doesn't rush, can do just about any design you request and you will be 100% satisfied when you leave! I made an appointment. I arrived early. They asked what I needed. When I said I had an apointment, she turned and walked away without another word. I waited 25 minutes past my appointment time. Finally gave up and left. I politely stated before I left that it was 25 minutes past my appointment time, and they just looked at me. Some teenage walk-ins were started before me. Truly amazing! I'm really picky when it comes to who does my nails and Trina never lets me down ! Show her a picture or an idea and you'll definitely leave there satisfied! I love supporting local businesses, but unfortunately, I won't be back. I'm not a nail snob by any means and don't regularly get my nails done so it's not like this review is based on comparison to anywhere else. I made a reservation for two other friends and me to get pedicures on a Saturday. We get there and of course they're busy...it's a Saturday...which is why I thought a reservation would be a good idea. Apparently, having a reservation means nothing because we waited about 20-25 minutes before being seated for our pedicures. I paid a little extra for a deluxe pedicure, but honestly I don't know what was extra since my friends got the basic pedicure and it was about the same...maybe some extra lotion? I wouldn't waste your money. Anyway, the woman cut my toe so all of the stuff she rubbed in burned. The polish job wasn't superb either. Wish I could've had a better experience. Read Less

I was searching for a nail salon near my home  that does my favorite pink and white nails since my last nail salon stopped doing them. I came across DJ nails in fuquay and when I walked in the atmosphere was nice and the staff was helpful and friendly.  I definitely will be returning soon. Read Less

Moved to fuquay and searched high and low for someone who did great nails...and wax. Found linda. I am so glad I did. Today, I needed to go out of town unexpectedly. Great salon.  I am picky about where I get my nails done, and a friend recommended here.  Tim gives the best pedi I have ever had!!  Trina does beautiful nails and designs.  I have not used the other girl there, but here she is awesome as well.  $35 for mani/pedi, can't be beat! Read Less

This was the first establishment I went to for a manicure and pedicure when I moved to the area. It wasn't amazing and it wasn't terrible. It was just okay. Being here for a while now, I have been to DJ Nails several times and my idea of the establishment hasn't changed.I am generally always greeted, however, there have been times I have not been serviced for 20-30 minutes after my arrival. I have had my eyebrows done here by Trina and she always does a great job. However, my manis and pedis are generally pretty shoddy. I had a gentleman do my nails here and left pretty upset because my manicure was so horrible. Overall, depending on the nail tech you get, you can leave satisfied or pretty angry. (However, I have not found any other nail shop in the area that has done a better job, and since they are convenient I have stuck with them.) Read Less

On Saturday, June 4 th I returned to D J NAILS to report an infected big toe on my left foot obtained on Thursday, June 2 nd; they refused to do anything.On Thursday they had recommended (Linda the employee) the use of Austrailian Tea Tree Oil a natural antiseptic for my minor fungus...it is uneffective.I didnt receive a refund, nor a free coupon for future services.A Peter Espy Read Less

I don't believe negative reviews are "fair". My experience with DJ's has been excellent...quit wearing acrylics after years of wearing them...tired of them breaking. I have had acrylics put on at some of the fanciest shops in Naples FL and Chicago. DJ's was recommended by a Beauty Supply Store in the area. Tina and Julie's acrylics DO NOT break...and I have been told I am the roughest on my nails of ANY of their clients. If you are interested in the end results, look no further. Read Less

I have been to a lot of nail salons in the Raleigh area and this is by far the worst place I've been to. I would like to find a good nail salon close to home, but this isn't the one. When I went into the salon, the staff acknowledged me but they were not really friendly. I sat down to let my feet soak in the water and the lady to my left was getting ready to leave. She had messed up her polish a little bit and needed a minor touch up. None of the staff would take a break from what they were doing to fix her polish. At the time, I was still hopeful that my pedicure would be good. During my pedicure when the girl was trimming my cuticles, she yanked the cuticles on both of my big toes really hard. I was surprised at the pain, which lasted for days after the pedicure. Cuticle trimming is usually a fairly gentle process. Towards the end of the pedicure (and the manicure), I was also surprised that I did not get a foot (and hand) massage. I have NEVER had a mani/pedi without a massage. There are some other things worth mentioning, such as the esthetician took a personal phone call while working on my pedicure - she was talking on her cell phone while working on my feet. At most nail salons I go to, there is usually music playing in the background. At DJ Nails, there was silence. The last thing that surprised me was the guy taking a nap on the bench in the back of the salon when I went to get my eyebrows waxed. I felt uncomfortable walking by some random napping guy. Suffice it to say that there are better and more professional nail salons in Fuquay Varina than DJ Nails. Read Less

Upon entering DJ Nails, I hardly received a "hello". Once seated in the pedicure chair I waited several minutes for my nail technician to finish chatting on her cellphone. Once she came back from disappearing into the break room (where she stayed for several minutes), she was still chatting on the phone. She started my pedicure, all the while continuing her conversation on the phone. When she finally ended her cellphone conversation, she and the other nail techs gossiped loudly to one another. She made frequent pauses due to distractions while performing the pedicure. Then, my nail tech's boyfriend came to visit and they became preoccupied making a grocery list and planning a party. She also got nail polish on my sandal while she was chatting it up with her boyfriend. My nail technician was far too busy caught up in her personal life to pay attention to the service I was paying her to do.Meanwhile, my mother was getting a fill for her acrylics and another client came in to get a manicure. The technician stopped working on my mother's nails and started on the other client, making my mother wait--remember, the client walked in after my mother had. Clearly, there aren't enough staff members and it was very rude to start on another client when the customer before was not done with her services.Overall, the catty atmosphere and poor service were a huge turn off to both myself and my mother. We both get our nails done every week and I can promise you that neither of us will be returning to DJ Nails. Read Less
