This was the first pedicure procedure that was vituallly painless yet I saw the same amount of dead skin removed. I normally soak my feet at home to lessen the discomfort of historical rapid procedure initiation after my feet hit the water in 2 other salons I have frequented . Today I did not soak at home and it was not necessary. It must be the products used here I hesitated to come initially because of the higher $28.00 price but I thoroughly enjoyed the foot scrub,message and the hot stone. I hesitate to review them badly because they're nice, but I had a bad experience. I usually go to Ruby Nails in Durham or Nail Yeah in Raleigh when I want nail art. But this place is closer to where I live, so I decided to take a chance. I called and was told I could come right away. When I got there, they had me soak my feet in a tub... for 30 minutes. Ok fine, they're busy. Then the pedicure was the most rushed, uncomfortable pedicure I've ever had. My nails weren't even filed evenly. Not a relaxing experience, but whatever. The thing that tipped me over the edge was the manicure. I have gotten gel manicures many places. None of those places dipped my nails into hot water. I was surprised when they did here. I looked it up later -- turns out you are not supposed to do that because the nail is supposed to be completely dehydrated and free of oils when applying gel nail polish. Sure enough, two days later, it's already chipping. Usually my gel nails last two weeks. Definitely will not be returning here. Read Less

I have been here twice and had vastly different experiences. Basic pedicure both times. The first time, the tech (didn't catch her name) did an amazing, thorough job with a nice massage. The best pedicure I had in the triangle to date. I was elated to finally find my pedicure place. Three weeks later, I returned excited for another great experience. I got David this time. The entire pedicure lasted all of 20 minutes. Literally not even a minute of foot or leg massage. I have never had a pedicure anywhere that didn't include some form of massage. Minimal callous removal. The sugar scrub was quickly applied to each leg and rinsed off (took all of a minute for both legs). My nails weren't even filed evenly. I am VERY disappointed with this experience. This was the worst pedicure I have ever received. I would definitely avoid this technician if you come. Read Less

The best gel manicures in town. Not fantastic at the nail art, but for a basic manicure, they can't be beat. The store is clean, bright and inviting.  The technicians are patient while the indecisive among us agonize over color choices and fast and neat in their application. Great nail spa!  They have a separate place in the back for pedicures and it feels like you are in a spa.  One thing that I hate about nail spas is that sometimes it can feel like you are being rushed, or you are offered discounts over a menu of services. I can't tell you how many times I've heard, "for 5 dollars more you can get X."  This shop did not do any of that. so... i'm sitting here drying my nails and wondering what the hell i just paid $40 for. i got an herbal pedicure, which is a step or two up from the standard one. was supposed to come with a massage etc... didn't even get that. i had my legs covered in herbs and oil, that's about it. the girl, though really nice, was inexperienced and it showed. the staff wasn't nice to her. she told me she was a family friend helping out... not good looks. really pissed i paid $40 for an average pedicure. had high hopes but won't be returning. It was time for a fill in so I decided to stop by here after calling to verify that they did liquid gel nails. When I walked in there was only one other patron getting serviced so there were plenty of techs available. David serviced my nails & he did a really good job. I also got my toes polished which was great also. The liquid gel fill in was $30 + gel polish was $10. Not bad compared to many other salons that charge $35&^ for the fill in only. Overall I will more than likely return here. I felt very comfortable. If you pay using a card vs cash, there's a 50 cents service fee. Read Less

I was so disappointed with my last manicure and this place is right around the corner from my office so I thought I would give it a try. I got a gel manicure and they did a great job. I made an appointment today at 1:00 PM for gel manicure ($28) and regular pedicure ($28). Service was quick.  Suki did such a meticulous and amazing job! I went in with a group of 5 people at 2:30pm on a Sunday. We came in for Mani/Pedis. We were all sat right away. The atmosphere was so relaxing! The music they played was very soothing and the lighting was just right. I never felt like they were rushing the entire time I was being taken care of! Even when it started to get busy with other customers, they still took their time and made me feel extra special. The lady did a wonderful job on my nails. Suki was very meticulous with my SNS powder dip nails. She took the time to explain the benefits of SNS vs gel polish for my nails and I greatly appreciate that. She also explained each step to me to ensure that I knew my natural nails would not be damaged in any way. As an added bonus, she said I was a princess and looked younger than I am so that makes a girl feel fantastic. I've come here twice and been extremely pleased both times.  I got a pedicure the first time...just the cheapest one (no gel) and it seriously did not chip for 6 weeks!  The next time I got a $12 manicure and it lasted considerably LESS time, but it was a FABULOUS $12 manicure.  I love Mai...she is friendly, NOT PUSHY, and all the employees speak to you (and not to each other like they do at other salons where I'm never sure if they're talking ABOUT me.) The salon is very clean and nice.  I found out they have a Monday special for Mani and pedi of $35.  They also serve you a small glass of wine from a light up menu!My nail tech was a little distracted, so my pedi took about an hour. Another tech painted my toes and did my manicure.  Overall it was good, but I wish it didn't take so long.  I also had to ask that someone fix the edges off my pedicure. This is a fabulous new spa over at University Commons, and it's likely to be my new home nail place!I was helped by Ann, who is the owner of the salon. She was very friendly and helpful. I also appreciate a nail tech who is able to have a good conversation, but also knows when you just want to relax and enjoy being pampered.The salon is very well appointed and for a strip mall nail place is very stylishly decorated. It's immaculately clean, and they focus on herbal remedies as a part of their spa atmosphere. I opted for a treatment including Rose, which has a really nice scent and isn't overpowering. I sprung for the most expensive package, and I am not disappointed! The pedicure room itself is in the back of the place, with muted lighting and soft music... It's hard to believe that there's Harris Teeter traffic just a few feet away!Friendly people, high-tech till system, and a great selection of colors: I will be back! Read Less
