Very unfriendly staff. I was told to pick a color and sit in the pedi chair. I sat there before anyone spoke to me. Then the man who did my pedicure was very high pressure for me to upgrade to the next level at 12 more dollars. I repeatedly said no, and got a scowl. Customer service is terrible..I waited for a 1hr to be told they where close come back tomorrow! Then to be rushed thur a poorly job pedicure. I asked why didn't you tell me ypu couldn't do it before I sat a hour! I was told go sit in chair in chair! After still waiting my service another customer came in for eyebrows and they took her. Horrible.  Lady had bad attitude. Slamming stuff down. Pedicure water was cold at first then warmed up after she turned on heater. The treatment only lasted about 15 min I'm use to hour long, usually pay more. $20 special should have been $5. My feet are still rough. Toenails are rough sharp. Looks like a home job. I have a bruise on my nail and asked her to do a darker color. She wouldn't listen.  Nails are horrible. Eyebrows look at mess but daughters are great. Never going back. No one should ever go there. I have patroned this salon and today was the worst experience ever. Customer Service is very important to me, when you say first come first serve that's exactly what it should be. I completely understand people having appts but if they aren't on time you should never turn other customers away, plus you don't tell me if I don't continue to get gel you're gonna charge me a extra $5 to take it off when that's part of a fill in. I called and was told that they had time for me right then. I was 5 minutes away, but when I got there, I had to wait 20-30 minutes. I had them remove gel nail polish. He didn't wrap them with acetone in foil like other salons I'd been to did. He filed the gel nail polish off! That thinned out and put ridges in my fingernails. I went here for a pedi a few months ago. They were busy, but I got a chair quickly. They ran the water, and then I literally set for over 2 hours (the water got cold) before anyone came to do my pedi... Then she didn't even run fresh warm water!!! I will never go back to K Nails!I went to have gel polish removed and replaced with clear shellac polish due to an upcoming surgery. I had never been to K Nails before. It was close to home and convenient.The male technician never spoke to me, never smiled and literally FILED my gel polish off. That is terrible for your nails!The salon did not look clean and smelled like cigarette smoke.Why would anyone go to this salon when you can drive 10 more minutes and go to luxury nails across from Southpoint....which is clean AND friendly!K nails was the Worst nail salon experience I have ever had...and I've been getting my nails done for over 15 years! I've only been here a few times in the last couple of years and never had a problem till this year. Went in for an acrylic set and left with weird rectangular shaped nails that did not follow the curve of my natural nails at all and which were chunky in the weirdest places. Several nails were crooked but I didn't say anything to be polite. So I let the nails grow out and got a fill at a different salon where they gave me a beautiful French tip set. Came to K nails to get them removed after a few more weeks and the technician CUT the acrylic tips off (OW) and pried the rest of the acrylic off my natural nail with a plastic tip (OWWW). Needless to say my nail beds were a wreck and hurt for several weeks, I had to grow them out because they filed down too much on the natural nail and my nails had turned paper thin and flaky.  I also paid for a manicure to cover the horrible mess that was my natural nails and I picked a nude color (which I am completely to blame for) but it was clearly a three coat polish; and he applied two super thin scraggly layers of polish and a topcoat (and didn't clean up my cuticles) and you could still see all the ridges in my nail from the acrylic damage. I ended up taking it off as soon as I got home and applying my own manicure on the same nails and it looked just fine. When I went to pay, the man didn't ask me if I wanted to add a tip to the card, so I figured I would do it on the receipt like most places, and he got an attitude when he had to run my card again for the tip. "Next time you bring cash." Uh, there will not be a "next time". If you want a tip you should take any form of payment for it, not complain because you don't speak enough English to communicate properly with a customer. That's another complaint that I have that I won't get into except to say that you really need to be able to talk to the people you're working on especially when they're there for an hour and a half and drop $30-$50 per visit. I am sad to say that I will no longer be a client to this business.  Over time I have noticed a sharp decline with their products and equipment.  I have had to return on (2) different occasions for a complete re-do of my manicure.  The gel polish was never dried completely and came off before I could get home. When I noticed the nail dryer lights flickering, I asked if this could be a problem drying my polish...of course not.  I reminded them of this the next day.  Today was my last attempt to continue to do business and once again disappointed...The technician openly admitted the polish is old...I am sorry...no more.. My biggest complaint is the high pressure attempts to upgrade their services. The gentleman asked me 4 times (even though I kept saying no) if I wanted the $35 spa pedicure instead of the $22 deluxe. My niece is new to getting mani/pedis & her operator got her to get a design on each big toe ($5.00). She didn't realize that it was an additional charge. I have gone to K-nails quite a few times for manicure/pedicure services.... at times there can be a long wait time, but overall the service is good. Their prices are reasonable. They take walk-ins with no problem. I've gone and had services rendered during my lunch break and I make it back to work on time! Read Less
