Just left 11/17/17 and I expressed very clearly what I wanted multiple times and the nail tech kept saying ok, I'm not done. I was absolutely mortified by my nails. I have pictures. Shape is off, gel powder not even throughout nail and nails not even. I didn't even have them polished I was so upset. I also expressed my dissatisfaction and no solutions were offered. First time at this salon, I arrived 2 hours before closing time and requested a simple manicure with gel nail polish. My manicurist made little to no eye contact with me, made me feel rushed/hurried while trying to select a color, and proceeded to rush through the manicure. She was rough with me and instead of kindly asking me to move my hand in closer to the light (when gel was setting) she grabbed hold of my wrist and pulled my hand in closer causing my paint to chip. To top it off, once I was finished and ready to pay I had received a 10% off coupon for a manicure or pedicure redeemable at their salon and they refused to accept it. My manicurist then got her "manager" (who seemed like just another nail tech in the middle of a pedicure) to come to me at the cash register and explain some bogus excuse justifying how they couldn't accept the coupon. Today was my first time going, got the organic pedicure. The girl must have been new, she had no idea what she was doing. She barely rubbed my feet or legs. If I'm paying $41 for the upgraded pedicure I would expect some kind of better massage especially with the hot stones. I don't think I will go back. Read Less

Worst nail place ever. I got SNS Nails there and they cracked within one week. I thought maybe it was a fluke so went again. The girl tried to take off the other ones with the cuticle scissors without even soaking them. Basically trying to pop them off. I've been here three times and enjoyed myself  everytime.  The place is clean and the employees are nice.  My first time there, my nails were in bad shape because I went a long time in between manicures.  Kelly educated me on how to take better care of my nails and did a great job.  The owner is also very kind and does a good job.  They always offer drinks and treat all their customers the same.  I have found where I will continue to go to get my nails done.  I highly recommend them. I've been going to SuSu for years and was crushed when I found out she wasn't at Asia Nails anymore and had no idea where she went. Through due diligence and the power of Facebook I was thrilled to find her here! Got to see her for the first time again yesterday and I can't even begin to tell you how great it was to be back in her hands. Overjoyed! Her sister SaSa and fiance Jack own this salon now. It's very lovely and I'm super happy for them. Bonus for me that I no longer have to drive across town to Kentwood and that this salon is right by my work! They have a good variety of SNS colors, but the price is pretty high compared to other SNS manicures I've had. I'll probably go back for the pedicure special next week, but don't see myself going back for a manicure anytime soon. Otherwise it's a beautiful salon and the lady who did my nails did a great job. My husband and I went for a couples pedicure. I sat with my feet in water with no one doing the pedi while he got his entire pedi. The  they wanted to do mine. The young lady at the front view desk lied about the prices . I asked how much for a fill in and a full set for my daughter, she pretended to look something up and said $47 for the full set and $37 for the fill. I looked online and she basically doubled the price. I could tell she was being dishonest as these are 2 of the most common questions asked in a nail shop plus her eyes kept shifting. In response to a previous response in regards to the manager. I have been a client at NOA for several years and I have NEVER seen someone be so unkind to a business owner and other clients as I did today. Johnny and the entire staff at NOA are beyond professional and went above and beyond trying to accommodate the person who posted that review even after they continued to make rude comments about the owner. I even personally asked this client to please stop because the entire salon was uncomfortable. Sasa & jack now own this nail salon. But before this sasa worked at Asia nails in kentwood. She was always booked and had a lot of followers. She is excellent and goes the extra mile to make sure your experience is a good one. Very efficient and professional. Terrible customer service. The lady I had was named Mindy and she was incredibly rude to me. I paid for a pedicure and every time I asked something she gave attitude; also I had to ask her to repeat herself several times because her English is terrible. If you are going to work with the public you need to learn the language-plain and simple. She even got polish on my flip flop when putting on my shoes. Horrible service I would not recommend to anyone. As I am sitting there 2 ladies waked in 10 minutes apart complaining about their nail gel chipping away only after 2 days. Employees are so sweet. They go above and beyond whenever they are able.  The manager John, divides his time managing and doing manis, so if you dont mind your manicure getting paused for phone calls, instructing staff and management tasks, he is very skilled.  Other staff work hard to make you enjoy your time there.   Wish the tv wasnt on sports or talk shows  most of the time but I suppose some customers like those shows. This was definitely one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a nail salon. We went on a Saturday and the salon was mildly busy. My friend and I were seated in the pedicure chairs immediately and were asked if we wanted the regular or deluxe pedicure. I said deluxe, my friend said regular, but then after I told her what the deluxe entailed, she told them she'd get the deluxe instead. I also told them that she wanted the deluxe as well. The lady working on my feet was definitely in a hurry. She didn't look at me or talk to me, except to question me when I asked her to cut my nails shorter - which I had to do 3 times and she still didn't cut them short enough. She just clicked the clippers and made it sound like she was clipping. She cut me and then tried to cover it up by keeping her hand over my foot so I couldn't see it (because it totally didn't burn like crazy when she put alcohol on it). She was also extremely rough and the massage hurt more than it felt good. Meanwhile, they completely ignored my friend's request for the deluxe and just gave her the regular. Part of the deluxe is a paraffin dip. When I got to this part they brought the wax over and it wasn't even melted yet. They plugged it back up and asked me to wait a few minutes - which ended up being 10 because when the wax was ready, they dipped another lady's feet first (who came in after me). After all was said and done, they didn't even offer me a discount and when my friend and I got outside and looked at our feet...our toenails were crooked. My friend ended up having to fix hers at home. I just can't believe a salon can stay open with customer service (or lack thereof) like that.Read Less

I have been to this spa before but my last visit was the worst. The techs do not appear to like their job and they also don't believe in customer satisfaction. When the techs get tired of someone who actually pays attention to the service they are receiving and may have a comment here or there about something different to do, they get exasperated and make rude comments (such as, "Are you married?" "No." "I can see why.") That kind of stuff is completely inappropriate and unprofessional. The nail service was very expensive compared to other, more accommodating and friendly places around here. I had heard great things from 2 of my clients so I decided to give it a try. I had a full Acrylic set done with white tips. The owner, Johnny did my nails and did a fantastic job and was extremely thorough. He wanted to make sure I was happy with it the whole time. For the most part the people are very nice. I had pink and white done and after my first refill I had red stipes visible across my nails from the drill. The fill did not even cover my nail and the white was terrible! I ended up taking off these nails due to the red underneath. Woman spoke very good english and was very nice but horrble at nails.
