Worst experience ever. Let me preface this by saying I have had this appointment for 3 weeks and left a voicemail at the shop the day before my appointment asking for the stylist to call me back and tell me how many packs of hair to buy. She never did. I got into the chair and she tells me that it’s her typical policy to do a consultation before meeting with a client. I told her that that was never specified on the site when I booked the appointment and nothing in the past 3 weeks leading up to the appointment indicated that I needed to come in for a consultation. She said it was fine, just a little bump in the road, and we moved on. Fast forward 3.5 hours after washing, cornrowing, and crocheting. She tells me that I need more packs of hair, which I was prepared for. But then she asks how much I was expecting to pay. I told her the site said $75. She said that she can’t do it for that much because she has to give half the money to the salon. She leaves and goes to talk to someone for several minutes. She comes back and says I can go buy more hair, come back the next day, and pay more. Or I can just go home and take the L. The stylist was refusing to do my hair for the $75 listed. My whole issue is that it is very simple, as a professional, to check your schedule and contact your clients for additional information or consultations. She had an opportunity to address price with me at the beginning of the appointment, but she moved forward and said everything was okay. You can’t double the price on a customer HOURS after she is in your chair and is in the process of being styled. The salon and my stylist could have handled the situation much better. They need to communicate with their clients, make their site more clear, and stick to the policies. It was upsetting to get excited about a new hairstyle and then find out that your stylist refuses to finish the job because the information provided by her place of business was incorrect. My stylist left money on the table (because little is better than none) and Rishi lost a customer.

What a phenomenal salon. The talent and willingness to share experience with the new girl is amazing. Had my hair done today and it was probably the best salon experience ever. My Stylist ,Jenna,is new but was supported by the team at Rishi. My hair feels and looks awesome. The salon is perfect and the area is so wonderful. Looking forward to my next cut and color . Loved it!

So recently moved to area from ND and was in need of a new place to change me in Santa Claus. After a conversation with Katy, setup an appointment with Briana. Briana is great, she has done a fantastic job twice now. All the employees are great. Atmosphere is great. I’m glad I chose right!

I visited Rishi for a manicure and pedicure. First off, the service took over 2 hours. I've had plenty of mani/pedis in my life that have been high quality and took less than an hour, and I was just getting regular polish, not gel or any designs, so I have no idea why it took so long. Second, there was a foul odor of dirty socks that I kept getting whiffs of throughout my service, and I was praying it wasn't coming from the soaking tub (they don't use liners). Third, and worst of all, my entire manicure had PEELED OFF by the end of the day. I've never gone to a professional salon and had my polish peel off within hours. It was a total waste of money and I had to redo my nails that night for the event I was attending the following day. I purchased a "two mani/pedi" deal off of Groupon, but I will not be returning for that second service.

I came to Rishi salon after having a terrible experience at citrine the day before. I had asked the stylist at citrine to give me a subtle baylage and got chunky highlights.
Nina was able to see me that day to consult and offer her expert advice on how to fix the chunky highlights and give me the desired look I wanted.
Nina was confident in her ability to fix my hair which made me feel comfortable even after my previous experience. Nina was also very thorough and asked me questions about what I wanted throughout the process, which put me at ease. I'm am still in awe at the transformation, and highly recommended Nina as a stylist. She clearly knows what she is doing.

I have used Katy and Amber and have been extremely pleased with both of them. Katy worked with me while I was growing out a bad haircut, and Amber has continued to give me nice cuts. Both have recommended products to help with my specific scalp and hair issues. The shop is clean and welcoming, and the location is easy to navigate, with plenty of parking.

Terrible experience. I will never go back. I called in at 10:15am to try and get a walk in appointment for a full sew in. Keesha spoke with me and said she was available and to come on in. She made NO mention that I needed to bring supplies for her to be able to do my hair. (I mean, after all, it is a salon). So when I got there, she told me that she would have to have me wait because she had an 11 o'clock appointment. I thought to myself, why would you allow me to come in if you had an appointment? But i figured, okay, I will just be patient. She took an hour with her 11 o'clock. Then at 12, when she got back to me, she was in "pressure mode" rushing to do my hair because she had a 12:45 nail appointment. (The customer left after waiting 30 minutes) As I sat in the chair, she began telling me she could braid parts of my hair; she didn't have braiding hair; she ran out of thread, etc.She didnt do what I asked (which was a full sew in), she gave me a partial sew in, but still charged me for a full head. I have tracks showing. Worst of all, while I sat in the chair, WAITING, I had to listen to one of her co-workers say, "well that's why you shouldn't take on more than you could chew..." and "i don't know why you took a walk in, anyway."

I came in with my friend on a Groupon and they policed me with a new employee who had as very personable but didn't even do he basics on my nails like fine and square them. The nail polish was gloppy and came right off. Instead of removing the mess she just painted over the one nail. It looked like my 7 yr old niece did my nails. When I complained at the front desk I was met with a blank stare and although the other manicurist offered 20 percent off the next time I go back I wouldn't return if you gave me the entire service for free. Just awful!!!

Just go to Great Clips if that's what you want, neither your wallet nor your hair will be fleeced. Unprofessional chatter, numerous interuptions, constantly training 'newbies', AND a terrible cut. Maybe they are better with color and long hair -- I won't be using them again.

It's not fancy which I like cause I know I'm paying for quality not decor. Everyone there is so nice and always fits me in when I need a cut and color. Over all the prices are right, they work is phenomenal and the salon is comfortable and clean.

From Shanghai to New York, then to Kansas, now moved to North Carolina, this is one of the two worst haircut experiences I have ever had in my life (the other one was back in Shanghai China).In sum: Barbershop quality (e.g., no post-cut wash and conditioning) with terrible service (e.g., did not provide water, did not hand me the towel to clean up, did not show me the back side when done) at a premium price.When I first stepped into the salon, I was a little surprised that it was empty on a Saturday afternoon (the salon I often visited in Lawrence, Kansas was almost always fully booked on Saturdays).I was greeted immediately (no doubt) and sat down for the haircut.The "stylist" (or Barber, more precisely) cut for about 15 minutes, and was about to finish! But my hair on the middle top was almost intact!!! WTH?Even though I was quite surprised, I politely asked him to thin my hair a little bit more. And I also told him to shorten my bang.So it took a total of only 18 minutes, and the end result was at the minimum acceptable level.I felt very very sorry for my money due to my mistake.I am 10000% sure I am not going back, or visit southern village in the foreseeable future.TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCE.

Great service and wonderful people. I moved from Phoenix and wasn't quite sure what to expect here. I have really difficult hair to cut as I have a really bad cow lick. I had just finished having lunch with a friend and noticed Rishi as I was walking back to my car. I needed a haircut badly, my new boss even made a comment about it the other day, so I bit the bullet and walked in. Knew I wasn't going to get an appointment being it was a Saturday but figured I could schedule one. Walked in and was greeted right away. They were, as I feared, busy and didn't have an opening until Tuesday. While I was booking the appointment one of the stylist walked up with a client. The receptionist asked me to hold on just a moment and spoke to him. Turned out he had finished his client early and was able to squeeze me in. Eddy did a great job on my hair. Could not be happier with the results. Last time I had to look for a new stylist it took me months of bad hair to find someone. This time I just happened to be at the right place at the right time. Eddy and I clicked right away and he understood my vision of what my hair should look like. I was so relaxed at Rishi that I have already booked my next appointment. My wife is needing a day at the Spa after the cross country move so I think I might book a massage, facial and nails. Met a great Skin therapist named Elizabeth she reminds me of my wife's sister so I think they will get along great.

I have followed Katy for three years. She is the only one that can color and style my hair consistently just the way I like it. I missed her open house but I am not surprised it was such a great success. She has what it takes to run a salon as well as demonstrate her expertise with hair. This is my favorite of the four salons that I have visited in order to see Katy. It is beautiful, peaceful relaxing and very clean and organized. Thank you Katy! You rock!

I visited Rishi for a manicure and pedicure. First off, the service took over 2 hours. I've had plenty of mani/pedis in my life that have been high quality and took less than an hour, and I was just getting regular polish, not gel or any designs, so I have no idea why it took so long. Second, there was a foul odor of dirty socks that I kept getting whiffs of throughout my service, and I was praying it wasn't coming from the soaking tub (they don't use liners). Third, and worst of all, my entire manicure had PEELED OFF by the end of the day. I've never gone to a professional salon and had my polish peel off within hours. It was a total waste of money and I had to redo my nails that night for the event I was attending the following day. I purchased a "two mani/pedi" deal off of Groupon, but I will not be returning for that second service.

I came to Rishi salon after having a terrible experience at citrine the day before. I had asked the stylist at citrine to give me a subtle baylage and got chunky highlights.
Nina was able to see me that day to consult and offer her expert advice on how to fix the chunky highlights and give me the desired look I wanted.
Nina was confident in her ability to fix my hair which made me feel comfortable even after my previous experience. Nina was also very thorough and asked me questions about what I wanted throughout the process, which put me at ease. I'm am still in awe at the transformation, and highly recommended Nina as a stylist. She clearly knows what she is doing.

I have used Katy and Amber and have been extremely pleased with both of them. Katy worked with me while I was growing out a bad haircut, and Amber has continued to give me nice cuts. Both have recommended products to help with my specific scalp and hair issues. The shop is clean and welcoming, and the location is easy to navigate, with plenty of parking.

Terrible experience. I will never go back. I called in at 10:15am to try and get a walk in appointment for a full sew in. Keesha spoke with me and said she was available and to come on in. She made NO mention that I needed to bring supplies for her to be able to do my hair. (I mean, after all, it is a salon). So when I got there, she told me that she would have to have me wait because she had an 11 o'clock appointment. I thought to myself, why would you allow me to come in if you had an appointment? But i figured, okay, I will just be patient. She took an hour with her 11 o'clock. Then at 12, when she got back to me, she was in "pressure mode" rushing to do my hair because she had a 12:45 nail appointment. (The customer left after waiting 30 minutes) As I sat in the chair, she began telling me she could braid parts of my hair; she didn't have braiding hair; she ran out of thread, etc.She didnt do what I asked (which was a full sew in), she gave me a partial sew in, but still charged me for a full head. I have tracks showing. Worst of all, while I sat in the chair, WAITING, I had to listen to one of her co-workers say, "well that's why you shouldn't take on more than you could chew..." and "i don't know why you took a walk in, anyway."

Probably the worst manicure I've ever had in my life. I came in with my friend on a Groupon and they policed me with a new employee who had as very personable but didn't even do he basics on my nails like fine and square them. The nail polish was gloppy and came right off. Instead of removing the mess she just painted over the one nail. It looked like my 7 yr old niece did my nails. When I complained at the front desk I was met with a blank stare and although the other manicurist offered 20 percent off the next time I go back I wouldn't return if you gave me the entire service for free. Just awful!!!

Just go to Great Clips if that's what you want, neither your wallet nor your hair will be fleeced. Unprofessional chatter, numerous interuptions, constantly training 'newbies', AND a terrible cut. Maybe they are better with color and long hair -- I won't be using them again.

Lisa gave me the most amazing pedicure. She took time at the beginning of the appointment to see if I had any specific concerns and was very attentive to my comfort throughout the process. The quality of her work is also fantastic - great attention to detail and a very personalized experience. My feet haven't looked or felt this great in years. Highly recommend.

Eddy has been doing my hair for about 3 years and I'm always thrilled when I get to see him. He is great with colors and always listens to what I want. The salon is very cute. It's not fancy which I like cause I know I'm paying for quality not decor. Everyone there is so nice and always fits me in when I need a cut and color. Over all the prices are right, they work is phenomenal and the salon is comfortable and clean.

From Shanghai to New York, then to Kansas, now moved to North Carolina, this is one of the two worst haircut experiences I have ever had in my life (the other one was back in Shanghai China).In sum: Barbershop quality (e.g., no post-cut wash and conditioning) with terrible service (e.g., did not provide water, did not hand me the towel to clean up, did not show me the back side when done) at a premium price.When I first stepped into the salon, I was a little surprised that it was empty on a Saturday afternoon (the salon I often visited in Lawrence, Kansas was almost always fully booked on Saturdays).I was greeted immediately (no doubt) and sat down for the haircut.The "stylist" (or Barber, more precisely) cut for about 15 minutes, and was about to finish! But my hair on the middle top was almost intact!!! WTH?Even though I was quite surprised, I politely asked him to thin my hair a little bit more. And I also told him to shorten my bang.So it took a total of only 18 minutes, and the end result was at the minimum acceptable level.I felt very very sorry for my money due to my mistake.I am 10000% sure I am not going back, or visit southern village in the foreseeable future.TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCE.

Great service and wonderful people. I moved from Phoenix and wasn't quite sure what to expect here. I have really difficult hair to cut as I have a really bad cow lick. I had just finished having lunch with a friend and noticed Rishi as I was walking back to my car. I needed a haircut badly, my new boss even made a comment about it the other day, so I bit the bullet and walked in. Knew I wasn't going to get an appointment being it was a Saturday but figured I could schedule one. Walked in and was greeted right away. They were, as I feared, busy and didn't have an opening until Tuesday. While I was booking the appointment one of the stylist walked up with a client. The receptionist asked me to hold on just a moment and spoke to him. Turned out he had finished his client early and was able to squeeze me in. Eddy did a great job on my hair. Could not be happier with the results. Last time I had to look for a new stylist it took me months of bad hair to find someone. This time I just happened to be at the right place at the right time. Eddy and I clicked right away and he understood my vision of what my hair should look like. I was so relaxed at Rishi that I have already booked my next appointment. My wife is needing a day at the Spa after the cross country move so I think I might book a massage, facial and nails. Met a great Skin therapist named Elizabeth she reminds me of my wife's sister so I think they will get along great.

I have followed Katy for three years. She is the only one that can color and style my hair consistently just the way I like it. I missed her open house but I am not surprised it was such a great success. She has what it takes to run a salon as well as demonstrate her expertise with hair. This is my favorite of the four salons that I have visited in order to see Katy. It is beautiful, peaceful relaxing and very clean and organized. Thank you Katy! You rock!
