Malibu is hands down the best nail salon in Chapel Hill. In the two years I have been getting my nails done there, I have always been thrilled with my color and the quality of the polish. The only issue I've ever had is waiting a while to get a seat, but I know now to not go if I'm in a rush. I'll trade quality nails over a quick in and out any day. Love this place, Nina is the best and everyone here is great. Thanks so much!! ❤️

The staff and services are all incredible!! Their prices are extremely reasonable. They all work hard to help you have a wonderful, relaxing experience while making sure you have healthy nails. They do take walkins, but because they are so good I recommend calling ahead for an appointment as spaces fill up quickly! They'll work you in if they can and make an appointment if they're full. I'm super impressed!!!

I live close to this place and have been to a few different salons in the area. This is by far the best price and best quality of work available. With that being said, it is a small space and they do get pretty crowded and backed up. So expect to wait or plan on coming mid day during a weekday instead. Regardless, my nails look amazing after each trip here. I have tried their pedicures, full set gel nails, gel polish changes, and SNS nails. Each of these services is well carried out and their techs are all professional and skilled.

For years I frequented Malibu - from Jack to Cody and then Jen & Peter, they made you feel like family. Nice, hard working people who provided wonderful manicures and pedicures that looked great and LASTED! But all that changed in Jan 2009 when Jen & Peter went back home. I went there twice after Jen & Peter left and was very disappointed. Will never go back now.

Alas, Malibu Beach is great no more. Jenny and her husband are gone (""on vacation,"" not coming back) and they don't have anyone there now who can do gel nails. Mine broke in one day. They worked on them again, and they broke again on the same day. Can't recommend them now. A typical manicure would have lasted longer than that.

My partner & I have visited this salon on a number of occasions and find the staff to be very friendly and attentive to our needs. We've gotten a manicure & pedicure each time (got one today!) and can get both services for under $40. They're located in the Timberlyne Shopping Center near Subway. Clean environment and friendly staff. We love the massaging chairs and they take plenty of time with you cleansing, massaging, and clipping our nails. They don't rush you or make you feel like a number (they remember our names each time we return). Everyone gets full attention. I live in Durham and pass a number of salons everyday, but I'd rather make the trip over to their salon because we know that we'll get excellent service every time. You'll leave their place feeling like a million bucks! We certainly do. Jenny's our favorite!!!

Malibu is hands down the best nail salon in Chapel Hill. In the two years I have been getting my nails done there, I have always been thrilled with my color and the quality of the polish. The only issue I've ever had is waiting a while to get a seat, but I know now to not go if I'm in a rush. I'll trade quality nails over a quick in and out any day.
