This is easily my favorite nail salon in the area.The employees are extremely friendly and the owner seems to know almost every client by name. They offer tons of services and the salon is always clean.I went in with photos of some nail art I wanted and was blown away by what my tech was able to do. Walked in and was asked what service i wanted. I replied “SNS nails fill-in and pedi”. I was told the wait was 30 mins - which was fine, i had nothing else on my agenda. After waiting for a hour a lady finally walks up to ask me what i was getting again - i replied “SNS nails and pedi”. Her response: “we don’t do SNS powder” and she walked away. No apology for the long wait for a service not provided or anything. She just walked to the next customer without thinking twice. I’ve frequented here before i got SNS when i was in town for work or leisure - after this i will not return even when i decide to get something other than SNS. Second time at SoHo nails. Totally different experience from the first time. I made an appointment for Friday the 29th requesting Victor as the technician and made another appointment for my granddaughter to get a full set and requested a experienced technician. When I arrived they acted as if I didn't have an appointment and certainly not one with Victor. I do not appreciate being called a liar. Went ahead and had his wife do mine and they look ridiculous. I had to have to tips put on and they both look as if they are taking flight and so does my granddaughters. Really got some skills there Victors wife. Will never darken their doorsteps again. Take a look at the middle finger that is the one that is the tip flat and lifted not a good look and sure not worth the $120.00 spent for mine and granddaughters. I normally don't post reviews on nail salons. I generally am not a very picky person when it comes to getting my nails done. With that being said, I have been to numerous nail salons around the Raleigh triangle area. I decided to venture to Soho Nails based on many positive reviews and I was not disappointed. As long as you get there when they first open, there is no wait so no appointment is needed. The one time I had to wait, it wasn't long (about 5 minutes). It was the Friday morning before Christmas and they were busy.My go to services are the basic pedicure with regular polish and basic manicure with gel polish. My nails have been serviced by different nail technicians, but Miriam is probably my favorite! I have been consistently satisfied with the services I have received. The regular polish on my toes last for over a month and the gel polish on my nails last at least two weeks if not more. I often have to peel them off myself before I go back in so I don't have to pay the additional fee to remove the polish :) . Additionally I do like that that the owner(at least I think she is the owner) as well as other employees make an effort to greet and get to know their clients. Everyone has been very personable. They also seem to have good intuition in knowing whether or not you want to carry on long conversations while getting your nails done. Some places don't get the hint and the technicians will talk your ear off. Sometimes you just want to get your nails done and just relax without having to carry a conversation. :)I've seen reviews from others complaining about their services or lack of quality in their services. I am very critical when it comes to my nails and am always apprehensive trying new salons out. I searched online for the top 10 nail salons in Cary. Soho Nail Spa had great reviews and said wonderful things about Victor. Victor was awesome. A co-worker and I visited this establishment on a Friday late afternoon, after we finished a continuation course nearby. My technician took a while before getting started after I told her what I wanted. She disappeared atleast three times during the time I was at her table. She gives me what I requested and I was pleased with her work, and she was somewhat friendly. However, when she finished my nails-she told me I could get up and wash my hands and then she disappeared.... for good! She never came back, not even to ring me out for the service. I never received my hand massage or my warm neck towel and massage. While my co-worker got the works. I paid $50 to get my nails done. I will not return and I will not refer them to anyone, as a first time customer it was a bad first impression and very poor customer service. Worst of all I paid for it! Inconsistent and overpriced. Came here the day before my wedding with my two bridesmaids. We all wanted the same gel nail color but they only had one bottle so they tried to talk me into another color... the day before my wedding... after I requested a specific color by name. Nope.They did a great job on both bridesmaids but filed mine in an odd way (I asked for square) and only gave me one, very splotchy coat (see photo). Honestly hands down one of the best nail places in the area. They did my wedding nails last year and everyone here is so great with nail design and color matching. Gel manis last a while...not forever but much longer than other gel manis the area. They get pretty busy so I would suggest calling ahead of time to ensure they can get you in. Everyone is so friendly and willing to help pick out the right color. There are closer nail shops near me but I would rather drive out to Soho to get my nails the way I want them. Prices are comparable to other places. But if you want a design it will cost you a little extra. You can ask about prices before hand if you want to know the exact cost. Read Less

Well, I'm not sure what to say. For sure, this is a very nice salon. The massage chairs are amazing, you're offered a drink when you sit, and they line the foot tub with plastic. Prices are reasonable, and I chose the mid-range pedicure. The problem occurred while the woman was scrubbing my heels. She was rather zealous, and I was thinking, "You know, that's actually kind of painful", when I looked at my foot and saw there was blood. Not much, mind you, actually very little, which is why I was surprised that it hurt as much as it did. It was on the side of my heel, so it does receive some pressure when I walk.She was surprised to see that when I told her and apologized immediately. She dripped some sort of disinfectant when I asked her to and I told her I did not want to put the abrasion in the water again. She continued on, but the abrasion kept hurting, and I especially felt it when she started putting lotion on my legs. I asked how often the tubs are disinfected and she told me "All the time, and we always put these liners in." I asked her to stop and she did immediately, asking if I wanted alcohol (for the abrasion, not for me). It STUNG when she applied the alcohol. I told her to go ahead and put polish on, and she did a fine job of applying polish. She even slid my flip flop on without touching the polish. She did not charge me and was very apologetic. So I'm conflicted about my rating. On one hand, mistakes happen. I get that. But I feel like at a salon, the stakes can get pretty high if you get a cut there. I am not really an anxious person, and by all appearances Soho seems to have sound sanitation practices, but I admit to feeling pretty anxious right now about an infection. I am also not vindictive and am a reasonable person, so I am not going to broadcast the person's name, and I am also aware that you can get an infection anywhere. If she had dismissed my concerns and charged me full price regardless, yeah, I'd be pretty pissed. But neither happened and she accepted responsibility, and I do think it was an accident and happens rarely. Read Less

My friend and I made an appointment for 2 mani-pedis yesterday afternoon and had such vastly different experiences. We both got the basic package, and our nail techs started at the same time. Hers was so much more detail oriented and asked her questions about her preferences, whereas mine felt rushed and didn't ask very basic questions like what shape I wanted my nails filed, etc. I ended up finishing a good 20 minutes before her because mine went so fast, and it definitely showed.  You can tell that when she went over my fingernails with the second coat that she was going so fast that she missed spots around the edges, which resulted in basically lines around the sides of my fingernails. Also, there was an air bubble that formed on my thumb, and a different nail tech came over and tried to paint over it!! I ended up having a raised bump in the middle of my nail and made her do it over again. She removed all the polish, and didn't even put the clear base coat on because she wanted to be done so fast. She actually had to redo it a third time because she didn't let the color dry enough the second time and it got messed up again! Read Less

I absolutely LOVED this place! I am BEYOND picky with nail salons and nail technicians BUT this PLACE OMG! Perfect everything! From location, to cleanliness, to service! Free wine and other drinks and KAREN and VICTOR we BOMB!!! Karen did her thing on my nails! I've never had something so beautiful on my nails because no one ever suggested anything other than usual hurry up tell me and go. I went to this salon for my birthday touch up. This nail salon looks amazing going in. Vary spacious and bright. The atmosphere is very light and relaxing. My specialist Marianna was very quiet most of the time. I got a regular pedicure and gel nails. My nails came out fantastic, however I was very disappointed with the pedicure. While she did a great job with my cuticles, she did not do a great job with smoothening my foot. She rubbed the pumice stone on my foot a few times and that was it. I felt my feet later and they were not the usual smooth (I get a pedicure at least once a month). I would return to this salon for a manicure but I would not get another pedicure with that particular attendant. Read Less

We have been here 2 times and have great experiences both times! My polish stays on well (pedicure) and they do a good job on my feet and they even have special things they put in the bowl each time to make sure your feet are not in a dirty bowl! I'm still trying to figure out what is so great about this place. I've had 2 pedicures here and neither one of them were great quality. The top coat changed to a yellow color a day or two after, and the nails were very poorly shaped. Staff here is not overly friendly as so many profess them to be. As a matter of fact as I was being serviced, I was sitting next to one lady and one of the staff members came by to ask her how did her visit go and if she needed anything. This same staff member looked right at me, didn't bother to utter a single word to me and just turned around and walked in the other direction. Best pedicure of my life. The technician paid extreme attention to detail and I was very happy with how nice he was! However we came in at 4pm on a Sunday and wanted a manicure and pedicure and were there until 5:30pm. The manicures were rushed and seemed like some corners were missed due to rushing. I would have rather been turned away for the manicure than rushed through it and paid for something that had the potential to be so much better. Its my own fault for deciding to get an eyebrow wax at a nail salon, but DO NOT get waxed here (I do like getting my nails done here, they are sanitary for nails!). To begin, the waxing room looks disgusting. I'm not sure how often they clean it. First, I had to ask the woman to CLEAN the area before she started putting wax on my face (how clean is any of the wax then? I should have left but I was so uncomfortable I didn't know what to do). Then she made my eyebrows incredibly thin despite asking her to just wax the strays. Following the wax, she put alcohol directly on the area--a pain I have never felt before. She smiled and acted as though it was ridiculous to ask her to stop putting alcohol on my freshly waxed face. The area is blood red and I feel like I look like a monster right now. First time visiting Soho Nail Salon as well as my first time receiving an acrylic fill. After my experience I am truly shocked that this place has so many good reviews. I scheduled the first appointment of the day over the phone and I assume that's the only reason mine was on time (not that one was necessary, they never asked for my name). They accepted every walk in that came in after me so by the time two girls came in that also had an appointment (made online, to which the employees literally rolled their eyes), they didn't have enough people to take care of the girls - who still hadn't been attended to when I left the salon - while two more were turned away (without appointments). Every staff member looked like they wanted to be anywhere else and my technician hardly paid attention to anything he was doing, constantly looking around and being generally uninterested. He rushed through my entire fill and didn't use any kind of primer before applying my acrylic OR the gel polish. He didn't file my nails uniformly so they are all sorts of different shapes and angles. The polish is streaky and translucent because the coats weren't applied evenly. $45 for a very mediocre experience all around, and I will definitely not be returning for my next fill. This is my new favorite nail salon, no question. I went in on a random afternoon, and I was able to get an appointment via the website. I went in for a gel manicure and pedicure. There were only 2 or 3 other customers, so I was taken care of very quickly.The pedicure was great - I just got the basic pedicure, so I had a foot soak, pumice scrub, lotion and polish. The highlight was the gel manicure. Typically, gel manicures are quick, and you don't get all of the perks of a regular manicure. Not at Soho! I was given a cuticle softening treatment, with my hands in warmer mitts. My cuticles were cleaned up, and I got a beautiful polish. I then got a shoulder massage while my nails were curing. The whole thing was wrapped up with a lotion and hand massage. I definitely left Soho feeling very relaxed!The polish selection is fantastic, and they have complimentary soft drinks. Read Less

I can't stop looking at my nails! I came in this morning after making an appointment last night to get a manicure and pedicure done. My nails were looking rough! I needed to get them done since I'm going to Coachella. I had a sweet lady who did my toes, but she didn't seem to speak much English (which is fine). I felt bad, at the last minute, I opted to get liquid gel tips done instead of a shellac manicure so a younger woman named Karen stepped in. She was really sweet, she kept asking me if the drill was making my nails hot or if anything hurt. Originally I wanted coffin nails, but after taking a look at my fingers (I have somewhat chubby ones) she suggested that the almond shape would look better. Thank goodness I trusted her judgement! I went there today it was not a good experience. I never got a hot towel over my hands no hand no massages nothing. She actually left me there to wonder whether or not she was done.
