Hands down the worst customer experience. We had a gift certificate from them and they tried telling us that it was expired when the date on it said 8/20/2018. They said that is was old and they don’t hand that type of gift certificate out and they switched to cards which would make ours invalid. They wouldn’t honor our gift card and said it wasn’t theirs even though it had their name on it. We paid them 50$ for this gift certificate for our mom and when she tried using it a year later they said it wasn’t theirs. Will never go here again or support them in any way. Read Less

I'm giving 3 star just because how nice they were. But nails... they don't look so good and I had to wait 25 minutes to get them done.They are up which is weird. I Love the decorations around and how nice everyone was but that's it. I've been to more terrible places before and I'm just trying to find a good salon and love my nails. I was a bit leery after reading the other reviews, however I decided to give them a try. John was my technician for the paradise pedicure and he was EXCELLENT. I thought that the prices were competitive with other salons in the area and the facilities are new, nice and clean. I will be coming back again and may have found my new go- to place! Update! I went back today and walked in to a silent spa. There were lots of workers but no on greeted me. I signed in picked a color and sat down. About 2 minutes later I made eye contact and was told that someone would be right with me. Then I sat for 25 minutes unacknowledged and left. There was one other person waiting who must have been more patient than I was. Also there was a woman in one of the front pedicure chairs who was complaining about her service and the owner who was helping her kept shushing her. I will not be back. The worst manicure I have ever gotten in my life ever, anywhere in the country. I literally feel like my money was stolen. Just do your nails yourself. They do the bare minimum, the polish application was shit (really not a better word). It was rushed. I was so over it I just left. I could tell from the people if I complained they would careless. The place is nice inside. The music was nice and the place was clean. The woman that did my daughters nails was horrid. She was not nice and would not listen. IT was 32 dollars for full set plus 15 for Gel which is nuts...but she missed 1/2 of the nail and the edges were all rough. I would not recommend this place at all. I've been here a few times now and am always happy with the service. I was in a hurry once and they double teamed me to get it done on time which I appreciated. The times I have been there have never been very crowded and the staff is relatively friendly which can be a rarity with nail salons. They have several pedicure options tho they aren't super pushy about them. Mayne slightly higher than some salons but not horrible. I'll be back! Read Less

Overpriced pedicures. My pink gel full set for the first time is the worst thing ever. Of course I didn't notice the errors until after we left but the gel isn't fully on my nail and I can tell the technician put a smaller fake nail on my sized nail then filed it to make it look normal with the way my nail is now growing back. My nail technician also took a break to go smoke and then I got to smell that the rest of my time there. Not so pleasant. I would Rather a smaller salon with fewer people where they actually care about their work. I will admit the lady that works the front desk is a gem. Super nice and very sweet. I won't be back. Also, the workers seem to think it's appealing for business to take naps in the pedicure massage chairs when there is no customers for them. Read Less

I have been going to this salon for 3 years now. It has been owned by two different owners during this time. The level of service has gone down considerably within the last 12 months. Most recently, I had a pedicure appointment scheduled a month ahead of time knowing that my mom was visiting in town and we wanted to come together to get our nails done. We showed up to the appointment and they didn't have nail techs for both of us. I requested a specific tech and apparently she took the day off and yet no one reached out to tell me prior to the appointment. We had to wait and do the experience separately! Then today I was called an hour before my appointment to be told that my usual tech had an emergency and wouldn't be able to do my nails. I asked to reschedule and was told that based on her availability it wouldn't be until the end of May! On top of all of this I was told that my appointment that I made 3 weeks ago for May 20th was now going to have to be cancelled as well. Tip for the owner: treat your customers well and they will keep coming back. This is my first and last time going to Cary's Signature Nail Spa! Me and a friend went there on last Saturday. I wanted a mani-pedi. I had gel polish nails and wanted it removed. I wanted a basic pedicure but the male nail tech wanted and kept on insisting that I get the Botanical Escape Spa Pedicure for $49.00 that uses oranges! It had organges for that pedicure and I never had that type of pedicure before so, I finally agreed to it after the male nail tech kept nagging me to try it. Before the pedicure started he placed a towel around my neck and placed this hot beaded neck rest around my neck. After a several minutes of having on the heated neck rest on, I begin feeling a hot tingling sensation around neck and it was not feeling so great! It made me feel very uncomfortable so,  I took it off my neck! My friend received the same pedicure as I did and said that she felt the same thing as I did! So she took hers off her neck as well saying it didn't feel right! During the pedicure, the nail tech took my hand and peeled of all of the gel polish off my nails using his own fingernails and I'm wondering why he's not soaking my nails just like any other nail salon would have done! He finished up my manicure and gave me my bill and he charged me $10.00 for him peeling off my gel polish on my fingernails! I didnt like this! And he waited for me to pay for this service by standing directly over me pointing to the gratuity tip guide! I felt that this service was very poor and awful! After leaving the Signature Nail Spa, I notice that my neck was really red from that heated neck rest the nail tech placed around my neck! Now, my neck is now dark in color resulting in a bad burn! So, basically my neck was burnt during my pedicure! I'm so angry and I will never ever go back to this place again! I will not recommend this nail salon to anyone! Poor service, rudeness, and a burnt neck is what they offered me on my 1st and only time ever trying this nail salon! Read Less

Buyer Beware! I went in last week for a pedicure and gel nails. John was the staff member who helped me - which is surprising given a past glowing review with his name. He upsold me on a new deluxe pedicure with citrus. Regardless of what pedicure you pick, if the staff member is determined to get you out of the spa in 50 minutes (pedicure & gel nails) then you're going to miss out on a relaxing experience at any price point. That's what happened to me. My appointment for both was in the afternoon and I was out of the place in less than 50 minutes. Additionally, it had to be one of the worst pedicure/manicures I've ever had. Forgot exfoliation on the foot. Did not shape the toes or cut cuticles. Barely shaped my fingernails. And, who doesn't cut cuticles for a manicure? He absolutely flew through the entire process completing the absolute bare minimum. My charge was $80+ and that didn't include tipping. You will definitely find better service elsewhere! Lastly, this is probably my 3rd time having really bad service in this spa. The first was when I had one hour and they told me they couldn't do gel nails in one hour (which clearly above shows otherwise). The second was an absolutely horrible waxing of the eyebrow. I only went back last week because it was getting later in the day and I wanted it done before an event. This place might look gorgeous on the inside, appear clean, and have a great nail color selection but the quality of service is is not consistent, nor is the amount of time you can expect to get service for the price you pay. I won't be back. I walked in and the guy at the front seemed very knowledgeable about the polishes and services that they offer. He immediately started telling me what a fill in was, and full set (assuming I didn't know). Then tried to pressure me into getting some 'liquid gel' that I didn't want. I wanted a gel full set and pedicure. When I declined the liquid gel he then said 'if you can't afford this one' which I thought was EXTREMELY rude. He didn't know what I could afford and since I'm a young black female I feel like they stereotyped me. I live and work in the area and will NEVER be back. And Lily messed up my eyebrows by taking too much hair off after I clearly stated that I liked them thick but just cleaned up. I paid about $91 for my services. I was happy with my signature pedicure after declining the more expensive ones about 5 times. Do yourself a favor and don't go here. Try another place! Read Less

I have been coming here regularly since they opened.  However my service was unbelievably bad today.  For the first time they pressured me non-stop about upgrading to the more expensive pedicure package.  I had to say NO 3-4 times.  I had a friend with me who ended up doing the higher package and the guy who did my pedi totally embarrassed me by saying -your friend is getting the more expensive package!!!  I couldn't believe it. When I came home I noticed that my heels hurt and were feeling really dry (which has never happened before).  So when I went to put lotion on I noticed a few abrasions where he had scrubbed too hard on my heels and side of my foot.  I am not sure if management changed ? The lady who did my pedicure was good but my nails looked horrible. The guy who did them I think was John? He was so ready to get off work he didn't file my nails down at all or clean up my cuticles when I paid $10 extra for it. I he also cut me in multiple places. Amazing Amazing Amazing that really sums it up. From the moment you walk into the beautiful salon friendly staff, cleanliness is not the word beyond any where I have been. I had the pleasure of having John in all of the 32 years I have been getting pedicures this tops the list in every way. The green tea pedicure is over the top John gives you a mini massage for your legs, feet. Truly the pleasure never stops. I don't know what these other people are talking about. You get what you pay for and they have specials that are reasonably priced. Can't say enough about this place. Don't believe the haters people can have a bad day and take it out in reviews, there is not one even semi bad thing I can say about Signature Nail Spa in Cary. Read Less

Very Expensive!! I was shocked when I went to pay and was charged $37 for a gel manicure. I have never been charged extra to have my gel taken off. Plus there base price is 2-5$ above the norm. In addition the gel polish that was used was the very end of a bottle so after 2 coats my nails look blotchy and the sides were not completely covered. With so much competition in the area I am surprised by the fees thethey charge. Needless to say I won't not be returning. Read Less

Really like this place. The upgrade they just did looks really nice! Got 20% off for the month of August :) they have a huge selection of polishes that's why I continue to go back here. They are always pretty busy. I went in today and everyone was busy so the manager on duty did my nails. That was awesome to me because he knew I needed my nails done and even though he didn't have to, he did them for me! Only gripe is they are overpriced. It is an extra 15 dollars for gel polish! Place is a joke. Went in to have my gel nails removed & left looking like I ripped off cheap acrylics on my own. Tech kept trying to push gel polish & when I told them I wanted no polish, I left with intense ridges & peeling nails. Not even a simple buff of my nails! I tried this place the other day for a pedicure, mostly due to location. I was a little nervous because they did not seem to have a lot of techs working and I was under a time crunch, so my appointment started about 5 minutes late, but it worked out fine. One other thing that I was concerned about was their selection of polishes was a little small - I prefer OPI and they did have a color that I wanted, but I might bring my own polish to be safe. My nail tech was lovely (Lily) and she did a great job. I got the basic pedicure. The prices are also better than I expected (compared to ITB Raleigh nail salons).  I will definitely return! Lame. My pedicure lasted 20 mins. 30 if you count the top coat and drying time. Felt like she rushed through everything with no interest in her work. My massage wasn't even a massage. She just rubbed the oil on and then rinsed it off. I have some in grown toenails and those were not even touched. Looking back I don't know if I would have wanted her to touch them anyway. When I pay 30 bucks for a pedi I expect time, quality work, and a good massage. Lame. Read Less

They do a really great mani/pedi. Tracy is a perfectionist, her polish jobs are amazing. My only gripe is that their prices are much more expensive than other salons in the area and they charge an additional $5 to take off an your gel polish with a gel mani, which is something every other salon includes as part of your mani.Also, call ahead/make an appointment, as you will typically wait for walk-in's, especially on the weekends.
