I went very early in the morning and no other customers were there. The lady who did my nails was not very pleased to do my fill in. The entire time she kept looking out into the parking lot and the back door as if she was waiting for someone else to arrive. I was burned multiple times with the drill. Although I do appreciate she trimmed my rough cuticles because some places don’t do this for a fill in, one of my nails is sore today because she took a chunk out. The gel seems very thin almost sticky —I don’t think she did the fill in correctly or didn’t let it sit to dry long enough. Two of my nails have chipped off from the fill in already (only done yesterday). The lady was very rough and kept jerking my hands towards her and awkwardly turning my fingers. I’ve been getting my nails done for 10+ years, I know how to hold my hands! I was very displeased and will not return. If I could give less than onestarI would. I had my nails done and in less than a week two of them broke. I am a stay at home mother and do nothing active. I gave them the benefit of a doubt and went back to have them fix it. Not only did they charge me for fixing both of the nails they were every shape and size possible. Before they could start the painting process I asked for them to be redone by a Nother tech. At cash out they charge me an additional amount that I was never told about. If I could leave a NEGATIVE star i would! They were HORRIBLE!!! I needed a simple fill in, my nails were casket shaped. I sit in the chair and let her know i have gel polish and would like gel polish again. She was soooo rough when drilling the gel polish off my nails she cut my fingers numerous time. She began laying the acrylic and had a VERY then layer i asked if she was sure it was enough because it looked very thin. She ignored me!!! She also kept throwing my hand towards the fan. So as she’s laying the acrylic my nails began to look OVAL shaped. I didn’t say anything at first bc I figured she knew that wasn’t the right shape. Nope she didn’t fix anything when she put the cuticle oil on my hands and said wash my hands i was completely disgusted with how my nails looked! I told her just cash me out I’m done. Had the worst experience ever! The lady was quite rough on the nails and ended up hurting me in the cuticle. Said no, she did not do that. Showed her where the skin had peeled and she said no she didn't do it. That was so strange. She yanked my nails while cutting them causing further discomfort. Very sloppy and not a good place to get your nails done. The manager is rude and they're always understaffed. Had 50 min for a lunch break so I figured I'd get a fill in. I walked in and there was one lady doing a pedicure one doing a manicure and another one doing a full set. I signed in at 12:55 PM and one of the customers had just finished so I waited at the front. The customer left and the lady told me to wait a few minutes. I waited 10 minutes and decided to leave. Went here for the first time and will never be back. I went in about 10 mins after they opened and the lady seemed so annoyed and was not ready to work at all. Worst experience ever! Brought my sister to get her nails done with me. Woman did her nails well but was yelling at the guy doing mine. He cut my cuticles way too short and made 7 of my fingers bleed. To top it off he did one coat of polish and said it didn't need another coat. I told them to take mine off and I wasn't paying. Don't come here. I just got a full set... It's never super comfortable anywhere but this was terrible. All of my cuticles were bleeding, the nails are uneven, messy looking. Went tho get my nails done. Worst nail experience ever. The owners wife did my nails. She started out mad at her husband, so in a bad mood. She cut everyone of my fingers under the nail with the drill and file then blamed me for pulling back. The nails are thick, globs of the powder in the corners and filed all different. Worst experience. I called at 7pm, was told they were closed when the website clearly states 8pm. Then when I stated I would leave a review she said go ahead and come. I get here the open light is still on and the time on the door says 8 pm. So when I came in they said pick a color no welcome how can we help you or anything. So I said, may I ask who I spoke with she said me. I said okay well if your hours have changed then how come the door say 8pm and the open sign is on. She said well we haven't had time to change it. I said well that's false advertisement!! I said okay well I would like to have my nails and toes done. The owner comes in says I don't have time for you I need to go home. Rude, unprofessional, and clearly does not know operate or run a business. Now I understand why the rating is as low as a 2!!I have never had an experience as bad as this!! I have been going to Lee Spa Nails for seven years now and have always found the staff to be friendly and courteous. The salon is always clean and sanitized. Bella is the new manager and she has been on staff the entire time I have been going to the salon. Her outgoing and friendly nature will continue to be an asset to the salon. When you enter the salon you are always greeted with a hello and asked what they can help you with. If you are a walk in and there is a wait time all you have to do is ask when you can come back and have them mark that time down as an appointment and your scheduled time will be honored. Read Less

Today my teenager daughter went to Lee's Nail Spa @ Cornerstone plaza in Cary. She wanted to get her nails filled and had her Mastercard to pay for the service.  This was my daughter's second visit there in the last couple of years. At her first visit she used mastercard with no problems  (I'm mentioning this because it is very important to know as you will see when you read further) On their front door it clearly states they accept Mastercard and Visa.  I received a frantic phone call from my daughter when I was ony way to an appointment. She told me the female owner would not take her MC as payment and refused to let her leave the salon without leaving her $600 cell phone. Note, her nails weren't even painted yet. My daughter told her she would leave her purse and wallet but not her phone because if she had an emergency on the way home she would need it. The lady stood in front of the door to block her if she was going to leave.  My older daughter had to leave her job and drive 20 minutes to rescue her sister by bringing her $17 in cash. The owner lady was extremely rude towards my girls. In fact when she went to paint my daughter's nails she purposely pushed 6 of her cuticles so they bled. My daughter complained about the pain and she held her hand harder and inflicted more pain. I paid a personal visit to the nail salon after my daughter called me crying and told me what happened. The owners were getting ready to close but had 1 customer getting a pedicure. I asked the lady owner why she did not take my daughter's MC and pointed to the sign. She said she couldnt and i told her she should never treat anyone they way she treated my teen. This was a complete nightmare.  I said my daughter's fingers are bleeding, and she showed no sorrow. A lone customer nodded to me when I talked about the pain. I believe she too was having a bad experience. I asked for my daughter's $17 back but the owners refused. The better business Bureau will be hearing from me. Look on google reviews. Many people had similar experiences. One person even called the police. That is one thing my teen should have done while she was being held hostage. Unreal! Stay away. I pray many people see these reviews and spare themselves of nightmares like my daughter and other customers had.  They are getting 1 star only because I had to for writing this review. STAY WAY!! I have had acrylic/gel nails for over 30 years. I go every two weeks but because my normal salon didn't have availability and I needed to have my nails filled for a meeting the next day, I went to Lee Nails because I have gone there for pedicures and they did an outstanding job. This was by far the worst experience that I have ever had. The nail technician did speak to me at all when she sat down. She proceed to start taking off the old gel, but then another person came in and asked for a brow waxing and she stood up and said, "I'll be right back, I'll do her first" I immediately said, well if you don't have time, I'll go ahead and leave, to which she took my hand and said No that's OK. Then she proceeded to hit my cuticles at least 7 times with the drimmel tool, at once time it hurt so bad that I actually flinched in pain. All she did was press down on my nail - like that really helped. When she started to use the drimmel tool to shorten my nails, I told her no that I didn't want any length taken off, but then she proceeded to file down my nails saying "I'm just taking off a little bit". I could go on and on about her, but the end result is that my nails are SHORT, uneven, and a very sloppy paint job of red gel polish that is on the skin all around the nails. I will NOT be back to this salon EVER, as I believe the woman that did this is actually the owner's wife. It's a shame because the girls that give pedicures are OUTSTANDING. I have nothing but good things to say about Lee Spa Nails. I have been there several times and they have done a beautiful job every time! I have purchased the pedicure & manicure with fills and I absolutely love the finished product! They are always very attentive. There is somewhat 1f a language barrier, but the owner & the employees are so sweet and considerate that can be easily overlooked. My daughter and her friends go there & I took my mother last month for a Mother's Day gift pedicure and manicure w/gel nail polish. She loved it and thought the girl that did hers was very professional and did an excellent job! The polish has lasted for several weeks so I don't understand the comment below. I received a gift certificate from my husband for $40 for Christmas to Lee's. I called ahead to see if they could take me and they said yes and took my name. The owner (?) sat me down and asked what I wanted. As I didn't know the proper terminology, (I know now that I wanted shellac) I attempted to describe what I needed. He brought out the dremel! I said no, I didn't want my nails ground down.. you put a primer on, then the gel, etc.. He looked totally frustrated and acted as if he didn't understand a word I was saying. He proceeded to file my nails and put one sloppy coat of the gel on and left it at that.. I asked if I could get a manicure also as when I had had this procedure before they did the manicure first then put layers of gel, uv light, etc. He said that would cost $15 more. I was getting very confused by now.. anyway he proceeded to cut my cuticles so hurriedly and sloppily that he drew blood on two of my fingers... I gave him the gift certificate and he said ""Have a nice day."" He actually took $40 for one coat of gel, fling and cuticle cut. After I went home to clean and disinfect my bleeding fingers..I went to TN Nails around the corner from Trader Joe's (where I LOVE to get my nails done) and the nail technician said at most what he did should have cost $20-$25.. she was upset that someone in her industry would do such a sloppy job. Incidentially, the gel had started to separate off of my nails within an hour. If I could have given this person at Lee's Spa Nails a negative rating I would have done so. Read Less

A friend made an appointment for 11 so we could get pampered for the weekend.We arrived on time, actually, she arrived early, and the "spa" was not ready for us.  We did not have to wait too long which was a nice change from other local nail salons.  The water was hot and the chairs were amazing.  My nails were cut too short and the filing almost made me bleed.  I almost walked away when the clipper that is typically used to trim your cuticles was used to trim the the side of my toe nails: I don't want ingrown nails!  She did stop cutting and started the rest of the package.  I opted for an upgraded package which included a callus treatment, massage, and hot towels.  Maybe it's a sign of the times, however, these all used to be included at most salons I went to when I first started getting pedicures without added additional charges.My manicure wasn't too bad, no sugar scrub, no long massage, but my cuticles were neatly trimmed and the polish was applied evenly.  Any excess polish was not taken off with nail polish remover, maybe I'm just spoiled but that usually happens when there is a mistake.  I did smudge a nail and she fixed that for me.  Any time I needed to change hands she would tap my hands a few times.  Another down fall was the water used for my manicure spilled all over my lap.Also, there is no place to add a tip on the credit card slip so if you plan on tipping bring cash.
