An individual named Eric started to randomly scream and yell to what it looked like another co-worker. I cannot believe what I witnessed. He was flailing around his hands and pointing in a disrespectful manner. My kids were there too and was frightened. I feel sad for the coworkers who has to deal with him. I came another day and he was yelling at another co-worker to what seemed like to be a boss. Why is he still working there? I'm not going to come back. He's going to destroy the business. Awful place!!! The place is unprofessional. All my nails was uneven and different lengths. It was a night mare. Had to leave there and go to another shop to fix it right. NEVER will I step foot in that mess as a business again. Sue need to retire...put me in the back to dry my nails and didn't even have the fan on or the light on for them to dry. I am visiting family in the area. My husband and I went in for a manicure and pedicure. There was not wait when we walked in. We were handed a menu of manicures and pedicures to choose from starting at $47 for both and going up. I mentioned that I wanted to get tips because my nails were short. When I asked how much they were I did not get a response. But they started to prepare to give me tips. The staff there was chattering in their native language and it seemed as if they were chattering about the customers. It made us feel a little uncomfortable. Throughout the services, the staff kept trying to up sell us on other services such as additional callous removal, foot massage, hot stones, and designs on on nails. I chose to get a design on my big toes. Before we left, I was told everything was good and dry. We paid our bill and left. Not even 2 hours later, the toes where I got the designs were ruined. The polish has smooshed to one side and looked awful. I also noticed that when they put the tips on, they went beyond my nail beds and on to my skin, so that when the stuff starts to peel way from my skin, it will from my nail as well when I try to cut it off. I went back the following day to have them fix my big toes, luckily they did not charge me. The service was the same on this day. The staff kept chattering amongst themselves. The technician who was working on fixing my toes would not listen to me when I told her 4 times the numbers of the polish that was used. She kept bringing over different shades that did not match. Finally another staff member helped her find the numbers. After they fixed my toes, male employee came over and started taking pictures of my feet without permission. Went here with my friend last Tuesday. It was fun and a nice experience but my friends nail technician didn't even speak to her and the lady doing my nails didn't clean around the cuticle area/ bottom nail which brings me to my problem now. A week later and because it wasn't cleaned, the gel started lifting and chipping. My friends nails are doing the same. I feel like I just wasted my money. Read Less

So so disappointed, went for pedicure with my sister. We went for a nice relaxing pedicure and polish change. The guy who did my sister didn't lotion or stone or even massage her while she was in his chair. The women who did the polish change on my hands didn't file them evenly and I left with nail polish around the edges and nail polish on my hands.  We won't go back. Awful! I came to get my fake nails removed because of great reviews in here but never again! They were still mostly attached when I left, but I couldn't tell because of the stuff she put in them and they peeled all week. I would never recommend this place! Read Less

Very nice experience, got the $35 deluxe pedicure.  As a guy going with his girlfriend, and having gross man feet I felt a little bad for them.  Especially after being in the military and being rough on my feet through years of working.  It was worth it. Read Less

I've been going here for 8 years: 1 year at the old location on Church St. and 7 years at Alamance Crossing. I've had a few issues here and there and Art and Cindy have always handled them when I've approached them and asked they do so. Sure, they speak Vietnamese but I'm paying 30 bucks for a liquid gel fill instead of 60. If you want utter relaxation and perfection, then go to a high end salon and pay 3 times the price. To criticize Modern Nails for not acting like a high-end salon when you are getting a hell of a deal is simply ignorant. Grow up. For the money, they're the best in the business. Read Less

DO NOT GO HERE if you are expecting to be relaxed! The techs speak loud Vietnamese and sometimes get into spit spats! They will also STOP in the middle of your services that you're paying for to handle an issue. It's loud and they get hungry to make quick cash and do rush jobs! They also ask you how much tip are you going to leave before swiping your credit card which is rude. Oh and the bright lightning and nail smell doesn't help either. Read Less

I have been there a few times and really not impressed. My mom had her nails done with a gel and a week after getting them done they started cracking down the middle vertically- it was really weird. Also they are ok at waxes, I think there are other places. Read Less
