I came on a whim while visiting from out of town over Mother's Day weekend. I tried two other salons that were fully booked before ending up at Nail Tek. While they were busy, they said they could fit me in for a gel manicure and nail repair after a 10 minute wait. I had the best gel manicure of my life from Don. He was meticulous and rechecked and fixed everything several times after each step in the manicure. I had a snag on the side of one nail and he put gel over the nail to let it grow out before putting on the gel polish and somehow it's the same thickness as all my other nails. Been there twice, BOTH times horrible!! Went there last week to get shellac removed and a regular manicure. Was told would "be a few minutes" made me wait over 15. DID NOT remove my shellac manicure fully AT ALL, told her to "trim" my nails-made them all different lengths, some were round, some square. Had me pay before putting polish on (no big deal-pretty standard) and when I paid with a card left the tip line blank since I had cash. I really just want to find a nail place that will be awesome at Manhattan prices.  Why is this so difficult in North Carolina's suburbia? This strip mall nail salon seemed to be what I was looking for. Nail polish colors are lacking, but I'm here, so let give it a shot....I walked in at 1pm on a Sunday and waited in the pedicure chair for 45 minutes before someone came to work on my toes.  My piggies are pruned! One of the nail techs quickly filed my fingernails in between working on someone else's feet (and chatting on the phone). I have mixed feelings on having my nails done the same time as my pedicure. I can appreciate it if I'm in a rush, but when the hubby tells me he'll watch the kiddo so I can have a few hours to myself, I really want to milk those hours for all its worth. $25 for basic pedicure, basic may be the understatement of the year... Pedicure took 15 mins- I was sitting in the chair for 45 mins before that.Gel manicure is $25- but charge me only 20- they gave me a 5 dollar discount for having to wait long. Airbrush French tip on. I first walked in and got seated at a table immediately. It wasn't crowded at all. Nice atmosphere. Got my nails done within a timely manner. Tv was on, kept losing its signal lol.  Great prices. I will be back very soon. Read Less

Peter and Don have done my nails and they do nails better than anywhere else I've gone. I've tried some newer shops when they've opened around town. They may be fancier with more atmosphere, but their skills don't compare with Don and Peter. Nail Tek's prices are also better.Read Less

The staff are always friendly, the salon is immaculate and Don and Peter do a fantastic job! I've tried other salons which are more conveniently located for me but they just don't measure up to the service I get at Nail Tek. Read Less

I stopped in on a Friday to get a pedicure.  I figured it was a great way to end my long week and to start my weekend.The staff wasn't overly friendly or helpful.  The callus treatment that you pay $5 extra for was pretty skimpy, as was the leg/foot massage.  Let's be honest, how many of us go especial for these options?  I'm perfectly capable of painting my nails (hands and toes) at home but wanted to feel pampered.  I will not go back to this location, and of course, less than a week after my pedicure my nails are already chipping. My sister and I took our mother to this salon because we had a coupon, and we were going to have our nails done for an upcoming cruise/birthday celebration for my mom's 50th birthday. When we walked in the door we were warmly greeted, the process was explained, and we were offered free refreshments to take to our pedicure stations. Tracy took care of my mother's and my pedicures, and was very receptive to our unique needs (I have very sensitive skin and my mother's nerves are very sensitive in her feet and hands). She also helped us pick the perfect nail color and explained how to make our polish last as long as possible. Tracy took my mom to have her manicure, my sister's full set was taken care of by Peter, and I was introduced to Jennifer. We were very impressed with the family-like atmosphere and loved the conversation with our technicians. As we left we were given many wishes for a wonderful cruise and my mother was told happy birthday at least 10 times. We left with wonderful nails and a new loyalty to this salon. Read Less
