Amazing!  I got subtle highlights in my hair and a cut, and my hair turned out amazing.  I have had too many hair cuts from places where they have butchered my hair, and I have finally found a place that I can trust to get my hair cut and colored.  I'm singing their praises! Read Less

Unhappy with my hair, I stopped a woman in a Cary shop and asked who her hairdresser was.  Her reply: Krista at So-and-so.  The woman even provided me a telephone contact number. Hmmm ... first name and location was ringing a distant bell.Rewind about 2-3 years earlier.  My high school daughter phones SOBBING, hyper-ventilating, unable to speak.  Thought she had been in an auto accident. No... my hairdresser at a Cary salon dismissed my daughter from his chair when he learned that she had a specific style in mind for the evening's event with a curt: "I don't do prom do's!" and he whips the gown off her!!My daughter goes from booked salon to booked salon until she happens upon the salon where Krista worked at the time.  Krista, with a daughter that age as well, on her feet all day, ready to call it a day, does my daughter's hair at 4:30 or 5:00 that Saturday afternoon out of sheer compassion and empathy because she has a huge heart!Now fast forward to present day, 6/15/13. I had to leave the Raleigh-area in December and am currently living at the coast.  Sure miss my hairdresser in Apex: Krista at kj hair spa!!  I will get back over the summer one of these days for an appointment.  Even after I had relocated to the coast, I kept Saturday appointments with Krista until the house settled.Krista walks on water, as far as I am concerned, for what she did for a young lady with a broken heart on prom day.  If I ever win the lottery, girlfriend, ... !!!  : ) Read Less

I had a wonderful experience when I was welcomed to Kj hair spa, witch I have made my permanent salon for all my manicures, pedicures, hair cut/color, and eyebrow waxing. Not a good place at all -- the staff is ridiculously unorganized. I made an appointment last summer for a Shellac manicure (kj Hair Spa is one of the few salons near me that actually carries Shellac polish). Despite receiving an appointment confirmation via email from them, they "forgot" that their Shellac nail technician was NOT scheduled to be at the salon during my appointment. So I arrived to the appointment, only to have the employees ignore me for 20 minutes before they finally figured out what went wrong. To make matters worse, they barely apologized for their mistake and asked me to come back hours later to meet with the Shellac technician, during the time she WOULD be in the salon. I eventually did this, out of sheer desperation to have a Shellac manicure. The manicure itself went well, and I was pleased with the work -- however their customer service and organizational skills left a lot to be desired.Fast forward to Summer 2012 -- I'd like to get another Shellac manicure (I don't get them often) for my visit home to California. I question whether or not I should go back to kj Hair Spa, but decide to give them a second chance because 1. they did good work the first time and 2. the next closest (and decent) Shellac salon to me is in downtown Raleigh, and I live in Apex.I receive an appointment confirmation via email from the salon just like last time. However, unlike last time, about 1 hour before my appointment I get a frantic voice mail from the nail technician stating that her son was having a foot problem and she had to go to meet him at an urgent care facility. She told me that she would try to schedule me for another same day appointment an hour later from the first meeting time we had scheduled -- and that I should call her cell phone upon receiving her message. I called her cell, and ended up leaving her a voice mail, trying to be understanding of the situation -- and asked her to call me back when she had the opportunity to, so we could reschedule. Jacky the receptionist took care of me the whole time I was there, getting me fresh coffee and great magazines. Jessica colored, hilited and cut my hair. The products she put in my hair and the blowdry made my hair look so awesome and smell like strawberries! Debra's pedicure was the best ever and the massaging chair was to die for. They even had a laptop there for me to check my email. Just the best salon ever!! I'll be back for my holiday hair. Read Less

Dropped by the salon on a recommendation from my sister and got my hair cut and colored and it looked SO great! i also got a pedicure the same day and it was The Best one I've ever had! My feet were so soft and smooth and the polish was gorgeous. I won't be going anywhere else for my hair cuts and pedicures! Read Less
