Carlee did a Kerasilk Keratin Treatment on my thin but naturally, VERY frizzy, curly, kinky hair now I can blow dry it straight in 5 to 10 minutes with no need to flat iron it! Totally worth it! Carlee also gave my five-year-old to beautifully, tastefully done pink streaks, and the complete princess treatment for her color, wash, cut, and style. You do not want to go to Studio Elite...EVER. Three time I had my hair colored by Jennifer ( who will talk you ear off about things you don't need to know and will NOT pay attention to your hair)...all THREE times, ( once was a do- over) she left gray in my hair. IN THE VERY places I pointed out I had gray!!!! TEN years I have had GOLDWELL color from various stylists and they got all the gray--never ONCE did I have to get my hair done twice over.. My mom and sister in-law in another state are hair stylsts and said that THIS shouldn't happen.Jennifer offered to talk to my former stylist in Ohio who DOES get the color everytime...now why would she do that? Because as she said " I didn't know what else to do".and this last time I went there is STILL GRAY.The office and owners could care less about customers..they care about each other and refuse to take care of matters. I want my money back because I didn't get what I paid for and have to go to another salon who does GOLDWELL to get a decent color job.I have met at least THREE other women who have gone to this shop and will not go back to her or the shop.I put in a call to the manager but she didn't do anything..I asked for the owners name but she didn't offer one of the owners phone number-so I looked up Dawn Hussey , one of the owners and put in a call to her...so far nothing. Her name was given to me as HUSSEY but that's not what the site says...maybe they didn't want me to talk to her..wonder why???IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HAIR--DO NOT GO HERE! I went there with hopes that I could get a layered cut for curly hair, and even brought pictures, but unfortunately it didn’t turn out that way. Don’t get me wrong, it looks great when it’s straight, but not what I originally went in there for. I had been a customer of Studio Elite, Erica Monroe always did such an excellent job styling my hair. I understand she is no longer a hairstylist. I tried a new stylist, Amber, and was so disappointed with the haircut I received. She started the haircut before it was even washed -chopping away with texturizing scissors with no regard. I showed her several pictures so that she would get the right idea of how I wanted my haircut, and she cut it so short there was no way that she could have  interpreted those pictures for the haircut that I received. I actually squealed when she started to cut my hair so short on the sides that I couldn't even tuck it behind my ears. I've actually delayed my review, because I was so upset that I thought I might actually leave too harsh of a review of Amber's work... that maybe my hair would get better after a couple weeks and maybe it wasn't so bad... Just extremely short. I was so wrong. Even after two weeks my hair is chopped in places And incongruously longer in others. I actually have to go to another salon to get a "fix" haircut.  There were actually strands behind my ears that she didn't even cut. One of my coworkers actually said she was sorry she was going to have to tell me, but it looked like I needed to get a haircut that would repair my butchered hair cut. Remember the scene in Game of Thrones when Queen Cersei got all her hair chopped off- we'll now I know how she felt.  I've had some bad haircuts in my day, but this has got to be the worst one I have ever gotten it all my 40+ years on this earth.  It wasn't that it was just so much shorter than I had planned, it was botched on top of it. I have been going to Studio Elite for about a year and have never been dissatisfied. Carlee does my hair every time to perfection! She has always cut it but recently she put highlights in it. The highlights blended so well with my natural color that it didn't look like I just got them done - it looked natural.Everyone in the studio is always so nice when I go in there. I started with Elite Studio when I wanted some new funky fresh hair color! Haley Johnson is AMAZING! She has a very creative mind and when you bring your ideas, pictures etc to her...she adds her flair to it! She takes the time to set down with you and look over what your ideas are, discusse the correct technique to use to preserve the integrity of your hair then gets to work! I left there feeling 20 yrs younger and a gorgeous head of fresh flowy hair!!  I used to go to a salon in Raleigh and now I am so happy I found Haley and this salon in Aberdeen. This place is fan-freakin-tastic! I had been going to SportClips and the like for ages where the haircuts/styling was hit or miss, usually miss. After a particularly terrible cut (I'd post pics but they would make you nauseous), I decided to go see someone for professional help. Let me tell you. From when you first walk in the door at Studio Elite you're treated like royalty, and the decor is in a lovely neo-Mediterranean style. I have been getting my hair done at Studio Elite for as long as I can remember and have been driving to the salon from Raleigh for the past 4 years or so because there is no one else I trust to do my hair. Tonia is wonderful and super talented and I would definitely recommend booking an appointment with her.  I have had several others do my hair over the years as well and all have done a great job.  I have nothing but good things to say about this place and have never had a bad experience in all the years that I have been coming here!  Definitely worth checking this place out. I had an appointment for my son at 1. I was acknowledged by the nail tech....but then she disappeared. I sat there with my son until 1:20. No receptionist was ever at the front desk. No one came by to let me know an estimated wait time.....how long should I have sat there with my son?? We were going to pay upwards of 50 dollars for a kids hair cut, But they can't afford a receptionist? I left feeling pretty irritated that my time was wasted, kind of inexcusable for a "high end salon". Read Less
