I went in today with my mom and sister and the customer service was great!!! Especially the lady that greeted us offering us complimentary drinks and snacks, she was super sweet and would go back just for her. My mom and I had a pedicure and my sister had SNS nails. For a $28 basic pedi I was hoping for a little more massage, instead of a quick and rushed pedi, which is what it felt like. When I got home I noticed that my two pinky toes weren't even painted all the way, half of both toes were unpainted. I also asked the lady to file my toenails down and I don't think she even did that. Thankfully my sister was really happy with her experience. I get pedicures often and I just feel like this wasn't what I normally get other places. I know we could've paid $15+ extra for the more extensive spa pedis, but I honestly thought for a $28 SPA pedi we'd get more of a spa treatment than we got. 3 stars for a friendly atmosphere and complimentary snacks, but also just 3 stars for what I seemed was a "cheap" spa pedi. By far the worst pedicure I have ever gotten! First he sanded my filed my nail polish off and almost went completely through the nail, to the point that it is actually painful on one toe. Then told me that nail polish was damaging my tor nail and I should get gel so it would be thicker. No it wasn't the nail polish, it was you! You did that with the electric grinder thing. Then they pushed my cuticle before using cuticle before using the cuticle softener. After pushing my cuticle they scrubbed my toes with the cuticle softener. Then after spraying alcohol on my toes at the end to remove the lotion, they walked off to check their phone (for the 3rd time) and never wiped the alcohol off. Now I'm pretty sure you actually have to wipe it off to remove the lotion. Also never asked what kind of pedicure I wanted. Read Less

I enjoy Angie nails and have been coming here for awhile now. I only have Katie do my nails (pink and white ombre), and everyone is great for pedis (occasionally the stones are a bit hot). Yes, sometimes they don't offer a drink or snack and they rush a bit, but it's normal when a business has back to back clients. I really don't understand why this place has such low reviews.  Yesterday we had a spa pedi. It was on hour of bliss. Slices of cold grapefruit was massaged into my feet and legs, also, Aloe Vera and hot stones.   Amazing choice or polish colors that don't smell tonic. Worst service I have ever experienced. I went in for just an eyebrow wax. The lady was extremely aggressive grabbing my head. I have gotten my eyebrows down numerous times and never had this issue before. She seemed to be in a rush and kept tapping my shoulders to get up once she was done. She didn’t even allow me to say if I was ok with the job she had down or if I wanted a little more taken off. I wasn’t not even given the opportunity to look in the mirror after it was completed. When I went to pay the same lady ran my card and instead of handing me my card she put it on the counter. I find that so rude especially when I was standing right in front of her. The shop is nice and inviting but once inside the service is horrible. Changing techs mid way through and it doing a good job. They drill until it hurts the shape is completely and totally uneven so all I can do is wait until it completely grown out and try another place in the area as I am new to these parts. This place is not good at customer service or nail services. I believe they get so many customers due to their location only. They do not pay attention to detail and they hardly leave you looking like you just had a professional mani/pedi. Decided to give this place one last try for a pedicure manicure.  Bad idea.  The technicians are always rushed so they file your nails hard.  Ouch, feet are sensitive people!   The massage portion of the pedicure is for the most part non existent.   When I asked him to make the line on my French style toenail polish a little thinner, he acted like I had just asked him to redo The entire thing. They had a sign up on the wall that said if you would post a good review on Yelp they would take $5 off.   Apparently my review wasn't good enough so they wouldn't honor it.  Really!!! Have been to Angie nails before but this time was my worst experience. First off my nail tech never offered me anything to drink or a snack and the end of my service when I pointed it out he made the comment that it had been busy but I sit and watched all the other nail techs offer the white ppl drinks and snacks. Then the manicurist were being funny on who should do my pedicure because I am black the one nail tech lady kept telling two of the guys that they could do my pedic...ure and then they would laugh and speak their language. Then she went as far as saying the man would do it because he was stronger. That was an insult as if my feet could have been rough and someone needed to scrub extra hard. Then she took the lady that was after me which was white..... Complete insult. Then the guy that did my pedicure half painted my toe nails and act as if he didn't want to remove the polish off my skin around my toes. Also got a manicure and he half painted my nails with clear polish. How can u go wrong with clear polish. And when pointed out to one of the lady's that worked their she said hold on and she would fix it and never came back. And I travels from Rockingham just to enjoy what I thought would be a good nail spa day for me. But instead it was horrible. Will not be returning and advise anyone that is black not to go.... DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE ITS HORRIBLE!!!!! I went today with a friend as I usually go to another place. I have never wrote a review before but the service was so bad i had to. First off the water in my pedicure tub was cold and I told the lady who filled it more but it was still cold. I had to wait about 10 mins with my feet in the water before anyone came. The girl who cut my toenails did a horrible job where I asked her to file them better because the were jagged and slanted. Then she cut my pinky toenail so bad and short and it looks weird. The polish looks like my daughter did it!! I just paid $37 for a pedicure and I had to come home and paint them over!!!! I told the girl she messed my toenail up and she never apologized. I was going to get a gel manicure and I decided against it and just got a regular manicure with no polish. Well the girl made two of my nails bleed!!! I paid $50 for terrible service today and I'm very upset. This place only cares about making money as fast as they can and not the quality of their work. I will tell everyone to beware of the service and please choose another nail salon. I didn't refuse to pay which I should have but I choose to write a review and warn everyone. I get pedicures and a regular basis and this is the worst one I've gotten. I've visited this salon many times and always had a good experience. The hot stone pedicures are awesome and they serve snacks and drinks (even wine) while you relax. I gave Angie's one last chance because my salon isn't open on Sunday's. There was a 15m wait which didn't bother me, but then my technician proceeded to insult my current nails (knowing they were not done there). Next I had to sit and wait 15m for my gel to soak while my technician went and painted someone's toes. Normally this takes 5 minutes. Last, I told her at 3 that I needed to be done at 3:30. I love this salon! This is the only place I will let do my nails. I've been getting my nails done ever 2 weeks since I was in high school! It's hard to find new places when your knew to town. Very disappointed... I first went to Angies about a year ago and was very impressed with the pedicure I received... I've been recommending Angies to everyone I know since then. However, I finally went back myself today for a manicure, and was very disappointed in the service I received. This was the first manicure I've ever had where the nail technician did not even scrub my hands. Did not even apply lotion. No hand massage either, of course. It was strictly nails. The polis...h looks decent but I thought a manicure was more than just nails. It's supposed to be treatment for the whole hand. Some places even massage and lotion up the arm. Never again got a gel french manicure. Started peeling in a week. Called we fix for you. The person who did my manicure said she could only fix 2 nails or would charge me again. I already was not happy that they charged 5$ more than my regular salon. Manager redid my nails but they look sloppy not the quality I am use to. Not going back. Got my nails painted with the gel finger nail polish and when he was done I had finger nail polish on the tip of my fingers. When I pointed this out he laughed and said well your finger nails are too short. As if it was my fault he did a terrible job.
