BEWARE! On Sat Jan 13th I had a Pedicure and Powder Gel Manicure about $55 in total. Within hours 2 nails broke. I called them, they said to come back and they will fix it. The next day a few more were cracked & The paint from my pedicure was off of several toes. Sat. Jan 21st I went back and they redid my nails and fixed my toes... Only to have the same problem. Within days more than half of them were broken and cracked. Powder Gel should last 3 weeks.  Never again will I go here. I was a very loyal customer but today will be my last time going here. Twice now I have had powder gel done ($35) and within a day or two it has completely chipped. The first time it happened in August I was told that the next time I came in they would redo it. I never had a chance to get back and decided to give it another shot in December. Again the same exact thing happened this time I went into the salon and asked for my money back as I didn't have two hours the week of Christmas to have it done again. They were all very apologetic and said it shouldn't have happened. I was promised that the next time I came in it would be free. Today I went in and explained the situation they told me that the gel didn't stay because of oily nails. (Even though I've had powder done at other salons that lasted over a month. This is clearly technician error.) I said that was fine and I would just have a regular manicure/pedicure if they could apply the $35. When Sharon went to hand me the receipt I was baffled and explained the entire thing. I was then told that this time I had to pay and next time it would be free. I did not want another voucher for a free manicure/pedicure - I wanted them to honor what they told me in December. I have never been more embarrassed or hurt in my life for being spoken to that way in front of other customers and for being a loyal customer. They should be ashamed of themselves especially Amy for how I was spoken to and for not honoring what they said. And they have the audacity and nerve to treat their customers this way. I left without getting a manicure I was so upset. I will never waste my money here again. I have referred countless people to them and bought gift cards for Christmas presents only to be treated horribly in return. They also have a reward card that after 10 manicure/pedicures your next one is free. When I went to use it I was told they changed it to only be Monday- Wednesday and wouldn't honor it. I even asked when the owner would be in and they wouldn’t tell me. They are untrustworthy - they lie, con and scam there customers. They lost a good and loyal customer over not honoring the $35 refund they promised. Beware of this salon - with plenty of other reputable places close by I will never come here again. Learn from my mistake and go somewhere else. $70 of my hard earned money down the drain, two chipped powder gel manicures, and four hours wasted and they had the nerve to lie and give me the go around to get a refund. They are dishonest and should be ashamed of themselves for doing business this way and treating a customer like this. This is no longer about a $35 refund- it’s about the principle of standing behind the job you do and honoring what you say. Two things they clearly don’t. I left visibly upset and they did nothing to try and make it right. Horrible! It was my first time there and I had sds color done on Friday and by Saturday 2 of my nails had cracked and by Monday 4! What a waste of $35. Leley was very nice and she shaped my nails beautifully but Very disappointed in the quality, I would not be going here again. Read Less

I love coming here! Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. Leley has been doing SNS nails for me since November and I adore her. She takes her time and is very meticulous. The place is clean, quiet and very inviting, can't think of a better place to go. Read Less

The staff here is very friendly and the store is very clean and well kept unlike alot of other salons I have been to. They even have eyelash extensions which I would like to try next and will do a update post when I do. Overall, I would definitely recommend this salon to friends and family. More spa-like than many of the cheap nail salons in this area. The interior is very clean and it's clear that they put a lot of emphasis on elegance and hygiene.It doesn't make sense to compare the prices here to cheap in-and-out $15 mani-pedi places  because to be quite frank many of those shops are unclean, the staff are untrained, and you really do get what you pay for. Come here for a true spa experience! They also offer facials and eye lash extensions/tinting at a great price. :) Read Less

If I could select ZERO STARS I WOULD!!! I went to this nail spot because my wife recommended it because she had a great experience. However, my story is the opposite I walk in with my 7 year old daughter for a Daddy Daughter date. The woman greeted me from the back of the place asking what do you need? I say "mani pedi for my daughter and me". The lady tells me no not now come back next time. I look around there were only two women finishing up. They looked at me puzzled by w...hat the nail salon lady was saying. I asked her "you want me to come back another day? You don't want my money? My wife recommended me to come here. Don't worry I will never come back." Aside from being highly disgusted and upset I was sad because my daughter felt it had ruined our date. I told my daughter it may have hindered it but it will not ruin it. I went there after work to try the gel manicure. Boy am I happy that I did!! First of all, they have excellent customer service. My technician Amy was very sweet and welcoming. Second, the salon is very clean and the decor is nice. And last, but definitely not least their shellac gel manicure is the best! She did an excellent job with my cuticles and the color is beautiful. The best part is, its only $40 for both the mani and pedi. I live in Astoria and the last salon I went to charged me $30 for the gel manicure that looked like my 3 year old son painted my nails and it chipped on day 3. But at Bella Unghie you get nothing but the best. I didn't have time to get my pedicure done so I will go back tomorrow and I believe it will be equally as good as my manicure. Also, as a new customer they gave me free lotion, a 2 dollar gift card and a membership card that you get a free spa treatments after 10 visits. So worth it!
