The staff was rude, non-welcoming and unprofessional. Saying ‘oh my God’ when a customer comes in and rolling your eyes seems like it’s the norm here. The receptionist was rude, only saying ‘name’ when my fiancée arrived. When she told the assistant that the staff in front was rude she didn’t even offer an apology. I haven't been back to the Westchester location for many many years, Mainly because it felt stuffy and I felt out of place plus there are other spa options closer to me.     I'll need to rethink all of that.    The space and attitude has undergone a major change while keeping all of the attending luxury one associates with the brand.It all begins with the robe.    To the floor, lined in fleece and roomy.    The relaxation room has chairs with ottomans, pillows and throws.    The ubiquitous lemon cucumber water is plentiful and chilled, hot tea, oversized apples and slivers of biscotti are available.I had an amazing facialist (Chrisanne) who has been there 16 years was very skilled with her little Tricks and positively merciless on extractions leaving you clean, dewy and fresh.    The tables are works of wonder and can move into whatever position you need for total comfort and the aromatic products make you want to do this as often as possible.Christopher gave me a Swedish massage, I usually opt for deeper tissue but this was total relaxing perfection.Check out and tipping was simple, a plus once spa brain kicks in.While a gift certificate brought me in, I imagine I'll be back for Chrisanne. I have come to the red door for years and I get a monthly massage at this location. Recently I have been very disappointed in this location. The women's locker room is the source of my issue. Almost all the lockers do not work and I have almost been late for an appointment trying to find a locker that works. Additionally twice when I have been there the power has been out in the lockers and most recently there was no toilet paper. This spa needs major updates! I have been coming to Red Door, both this location and others, for years. My last few visits here have been very disappointing. Though the massages themselves have been great, service has really gone downhill. Additionally, the changing room and waiting area do not hold the number of people in the spa. Last time I was here, there was literally a line to get to the lockers and no seats in the waiting area. Either the spa needs to book fewer appointments or fix up the space. Not only was there not enough space, but several lockers were broken and there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. Been coming here for 2 years now for my facials. The facility is extremely clean and tranquil. All staff is very helpful and friendly. My esthetician, Gayla, is amazing. Did a balayage coloring with Krystal and was left with some horrible horizontal line marks across the side of my head, then got what felt like a very rushed and uneven cut from Kim which was only supposed to be a trim but resulted in her taking more than 3 inches off.  I've never cried after a hair appointment before, but I guess there's a first for everything. I highly recommend coming here for your eyebrows. Farida is amazing. She is incredibly talented and will not let you leave until your eyebrows look like perfection. She helped me get them to where I wanted them to be for my wedding and they looked incredible for my big day. I got a gel manicure and Red Door pedicure done by Debby Ann. My experience was awesome. I was offered coffee, tea and water as soon as I arrived and waited in a tranquil relaxation room until Debby Ann came and got me for my service. As I sat in the pedicure chair (which has a STAINLESS STEEL sink, that reclines under the chair), Debby Ann offered me a neck pillow and asked if I wanted anything to drink. She asked about my colors and what I wanted... then proceeded to give me THE BEST pedicure ever. I lived in the Bronx for a few years and havent been able to find a nail salon thats GOOD and CLEAN within a 15 minute drive to my house. As other customers came in, I watched the technicians greet their customers, not like customers but friends. The take pride in their work and are very kind, which is why they have repeat customers with standing appointments. "This was the first time I've been to a Red Door Salon, but I do frequent other spas several times a year. My spa treatment was very nice - the technician was very pleasant and made it a great experience. However, I was disappointed at how I was greeted at the front desk upon arrival - and even more so upon checkout. The associate was very cold - just said 'last name' and then processed my payment. I have been going to the red door for years, for facials, massages, and most importantly hair. The colorists are fantastic-Jeanie and Crystal are really professional and have never ever messed up my hair. Instead, the color is gorgeous and the hair is soft and undamaged. As for stylists, I've been going for many years but their current crop-Robert, Michelle, and Lauren- are all excellent. "The wrap by Lizzie was incredible. I've never felt more like a toasty burrito and have never been so smooth, soft and clean. The Scalp massage was EVERYTHING. If I could have had an hour of that I would have. The facial by Laura was lovely as usual and now my face glows and is as soft as a baby's butt. 10 out of 10 recommend, plus those cookies in the lounge were tasty. I've come here twice now for my haircut and just made my third appointment. Between hairdressers moving away from my hometown in VT, me moving for college, moving again for study abroad, and moving again post-graduation, I've had a tough time finding a solid salon. Follow that up with high standards set by my experiences at German salons (where I spent a couple years living in addition to my study abroad there) and a few unwelcoming experiences at places in NYC, I've become a little picky. So (to summarize, I guess), I'm incredibly thankful to have found a home here.I don't have a go-to hairdresser and I can't honestly remember either of my hairdressers names (personal negligence, not a reflection on the hairdressers themselves!), but I've been satisfied both times and felt *welcomed* -- the latter of which is almost as important to me as the haircut itself. I was visiting NY for a wedding and wanted to schedule something for my hair and make up for the event. I had been to red door spas in VA and know their quality. So I went ahead and scheduled red door for NY. I loved the staff there, especially Lauren - who did my hair. She gave me the best blow out in the least time ever. I have heavy long indian hair and I can't believe she managed to do it so fast! Giving me extra 15 mins to squeeze in a express manicure (which wasn't scheduled) which the red door spa went out of the way and got a nail technician, Wendy who managed to transform my nails so quickly. The make application was superb - it was done at 10:00 am and stay put till 10 pm on my face. Over all, I would definitely recommend anyone to try that place out and cannot wait to revisit again! 5 stars and above. Read Less

Absolutely horrible for massage. Do not waste your money. My wife and I went for a couples massage, both massages were mechanical and the worst we had. The therapists asked where to focus on etc and then did their normal routine anyway. They both did the exact same things in the exact ways. In the middle of the massage one therapist knocked something over making a huge noise - losing the whole zen of everything. The men's locker room is two lockers in a hallway. The two lockers were in use and I had to carry all my clothes around with me my entire appointment!!!!  Need to use the restroom?...oh that's out front in the salon (for men) so I had to walk out in my robe into the salon where you can see out into the mall. My wife tried to use the restroom in the women's locker room but two employees were in line for it and did not let the customer go first. An absolute horrible set up and experience. Read Less

I just had my second facial treatment at The Red Door Spa at The Westchester.  I've had facials here in the past, however, my last two with Farida, have been amazing!  She's incredible and so informative.  Try to get in for Spa Week if you can! April 17-23...only $50 for a facial!Farida has helped me better understand my combination skin, which I have been treating as "oily" for years...leaving my skin with occasional breakouts, and super dry skin, especially outside of my t-zone.  She evaluated my current regimen (I brought in the skin care products I've been using), and explained why some were great, and others I should no longer continue to use, considering my skin type.  I've left refreshed, relaxed, and seen results immediately. I came in for a visit, from out of town, and had a really nice massage. I will say that the front staff could be nicer,  but I was determined to hold on to the positive energy my massage provided me with.
