I've come here just twice! I had a great experience as far as customer service goes. The greeted me immediately. Went above and beyond to make sure I am comfortable throughout my visit. I truly appreciate the service this nail bar offers. I was so excited about both my manicure and pedicure. It looked great coming out of the place. But my basic manicure polish chipped within the hour. I'm not exactly sure why. I had it done on the weekend and I'm off work for a bit (which involves me washing my hands a lot). So this is just odd! I can't attribute this to my own habits. I'm actually going to remove it after this picture because it looks terrible and is a bright color so it is very evident. I'm thinking for the price, maybe that explains why it lasted for such a short time but I really was hoping price didn't matter when it comes to providing customers with nails they will be satisfied with for longer than a week. My husband got us facials through Groupon for Synergy last weekend. We arrived at our appointment time and were greeted by the friendly male receptionist. We were soon met by Michelle the owner who gave us both a facial. We both loved her! She was very knowledgeable about our skin types (both of us being different). She directed us on what types of products we should be using and how we should take care of our skin better. I'm always skeptical of service when using a groupon, however Michelle treated us like royalty and went above and beyond. I am not one to write reviews unless I feel it is extremely necessary. Let’s begin with I purchased a groupon for a blow out. I work across the street so I figured I can go on my lunch break. GREAT! As I stated above my lunch break. Therefore, food is a necessity I figured pizza should be fine as it is a meal u can eat without issues. Clearly I was wrong as I was immediately asked to surrender my pizza. Which is fine but at the end of the service I was not returned my pizza, let me add that I stood waiting for it to be returned for 10-15 min until I got aggravated because I had to leave. So now I’m remaining in hunger for the rest of my work day, NOT GREAT! Continuing service. I have waist line length hair and was told I had to pay an additional $15 dollars which I didn’t mind at first. I know I have a lot of hair and it’s thick. Plus I couldn’t lose my money on the groupon purchase in addition to needing my hair blown out for an event the following day. The girl then proceeded to wash my hair which she only scrubbed ONCE! I have a lot of hair what makes one think that 1 wash is enough. Then her blowout she failed to brush through to my ends. Secondly she left some areas with curls on my roots. I was pissed. When she was done I was so annoyed I didn’t want to argue and simply tied my hair back up in a bun. I had to go home and blow dry the messed up areas and proceed to flat iron it in order for it to look decent. Might I add I do know how to do hair as I was a cosmetology major in high school. But I HATE DOING HAIR. This was such an annoying experience... I hope no one else has to go through this. Read Less

If you have been to some salons, where people do not know what they are doing coloring hair, and you do not know where else to go. Do what I did and go to this place, because these people know what they are doing. They did a great job on my hair color and cut. I would give them a zero if I could. Tried to make an appointment to be told BY THE OWNER they had no openings. I'm standing outside the salon now. The salon is closed and locked up at 5:20 on a Monday. They are supposed to close at 6. I won't try to go here ever simply because the owner lied rather than being truthful. Read Less

I had a doc appt across the street and stumbled into this salon for a mani / pedi. While pricier than my normal go-to nail spot...I was NOT disappointed! I am VERY particular about my nails from shape to polish application and Myra did an excellent job! Everyone was very attentive to my needs. I had been waiting to get a haircut for a while and finally decided to come into synergy beauty bar after walking past it a couple of times, as soon as I came in the girl at the front desk offered me a drink and told me to sit down in their waiting area and made sure I was comfortable! Stephanie was my hair dresser and as soon as I met her I knew I'd be leaving with a great haircut and that's just what I got! She was able to make my thick hair feel weightless and made me fall in love with my new shoulder length hair ! I came in with waist length heavy hair and left with the BEST haircut I've ever gotten, You for sure get your money's worth. I always thought i had unusually difficult hair but never knew why and everyone always said "no your hairs great" and cut it normally. Michelle, without me saying anything, noted how heavy my hair is. Which is good but requires certain techniques both for cutting and drying/managing to get the looks I may want. She took her time given that it was the first time and really meticulously carved my hair like it was a bonsai tree, explaining the whole way through her methodology and teaching me about my hair and how I can take care of it in the future. They won't have groupons going for long but are doing so for their first year of business. Don't buy through Groupon just show the offer to them and they'll honor it. It just helps them because business owners pay a lot to Groupon for each transaction. She told me this even though I had bought the Groupon so thought I'd relat the message. As I left I was informed of a referal program that gets me 10% off any services (including massage) and 20% off  for your first time. So! If you go, please let them know greg smith sent you! So, aside from this being literally the best cut I've ever head(I've also always just gone to a regular barber) I was really impressed with the startup feel of it. Felt good to support. Also, I called a half hour after closing time and Michelle picked up and was so accommodating on the phone that i was sold. I decided to forego a much needed haircut before a date that night and wait till that Monday  to go with them. The date went fine anyway but 24 hours in and my updated dating profile pics are garnering way more attention so I'm guessing the haircut worked. Read Less

If I ever want to change my color or hairstyle she is always ready with some great ideas that I love every time and I always get complimented for. I live in Manhattan and come to White Plains just to get my haircut. Stephanie, Trisha, Michelle and Lindsey are always friendly when I come and make me feel very welcome. After many years of getting my hair cut from the same place I decided to switch it up. I let my hair grow for five months, walked in, and told the barber to just do whatever he thought would look the best on me. Greatest haircut ever, I've never received more compliments about my hair. The few extra dollars I spent at Synergy Beauty Bar versus going to an ordinary barber shop I have been going to for years was well spent. Not to mention they offer complementary beer or wine with your visit! So if you are someone who wants a good haircut and a special hot towel shave I definitely recommend Synergy Beauty Bar. I met Michelle 2 years ago after moving to White Plains. Didn't know anybody here, so googled for the best place. There's nothing wrong with the corners barber shop, but just this once, I wanted to try something good. So, went to the place where Michelle was working at that time and met her. I explained my situation, and she immediately knew what to do. She cut my hair and explained me why the shape of my head looks better with some haircuts (turns out my head is kind of flat). And then I realized why baseball caps or headphones look weird on me. It amazes me how I never saw it. It also amazes me how you actually need a lot of experience and talent to be able to notice and explain something like that: the fact that a guys haircut looks weird because his head is flat and he doesn't know it. Owner Michelle and her cool team of associates are so friendly and amazing at what they do!  They were ultra accommodating  with my walkin to have a wash blow-dry and curl for wedding! They offered me a $15 upgrade to have a relaxing foot soak with minerals and herbs while Michelle did my hair. The salon is gorgeously appointed and has terrific natural light from an entire window wall! Complimentary wine and beer, fruit infused water,  coffee and tea await at a cute station with fresh fruit and snacks for all clients! My hair looks awesome! Read Less

Michelle was so nice.  I was on my way to an important meeting and was totally frazzled.  While they were already locking up the doors, they sorted me out so I could make a great impression for my dinner meeting. Justin even helped me send a text while my nearly dead iPhone was charging. So wonderful and helpful. Its nice to see an owner and staff that are truly helpful.
