I really wish I would have listened to the reviews on here I took my niece here for her 13th birthday, and the workmanship was so poor, that three days later it looked like we had been wearing these nails for 3 weeks and desperately needed a fill. They charged me nearly $60 for two sets of nails that were just acrylic and because I chose to not to do gel fit an upcharge they did a bad job. Not only that but when we walked in the door there was a woman sitting right there doing nails on a woman she looked right at me and didn't say hello or anything didn't ask me what I needed, just glared at me and finally I broke the silence asking for two sets of nails . I don't care if they're open Sundays or not avoid this place, take a lunch and go somewhere else... seriously this place is a joke I can't believe they're still open. Very disappointed. Was there Friday early afternoon. I had a full set put on. Along with a gel color. Today is Tuesday an i have two broken nails. I was charged $51.00 for the service. Although the reviews were bad, I decided to try it. Walked in an hour before close and they told me they (rudely) told me they were closed because the girl was working alone. Another girl walked in right behind me and was also turned away. To the business owner; you are losing money and ruining your reputation. I love coming here they know me an my mother by name we have been coming for over 5 yeara and they always try their best to get you in as soon as possible even without a appointment... and people that do go in there have attuides right away I agree.... u get treated how u treat others...maybe start there.. great service love them and there open until 8pm Read Less

Had a pedicure and gel manicure. Very well done! Lots of chairs that are better than some of the others at more expensive places. My nail tech was very detail oriented and went back many times over all my nails, but it still only took 1.5 hours. I will be back! Read Less

Walked in without an appointment. Found a clean, large salon with lots of massage chairs. They took me right away. I had the regular pedi and a gel mani and both were great. Fast, clean and well done nails at a reasonable price.  Not sure why other reviewers were unhappy but my experience was great. Read Less

I don't get these nrgative reviews. Maybe the trouble is that people don't take the time to post positive reviews. I came to AJ nails for acrylics on the recommendation of a co-worker. I went cautiously because I live in Tonawanda. Well, I have not found a salon closer to home that does acrylics as well as AJ Nails. They are excellent. Thorough, clean, friendly, and if I want a special design for an occasion, they are so artistic. Today I had a pedicure with Annie. Heaven!! I wish I could post a picture of my gorgeous toes. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I go there probably once every 3 weeks to get gel nails and more in the summer for pedicures. My mom and I love it! The owner knows us by name and asks us how things are going. I've always been satisfied with this place and the workers! After going for so long, so many times, I have realized that many people come IN with a bad attitude and are rude to the staff from the point they step in the door - these are nice, talented people (key word being people) so treating them with kindness and respect will get you a better outcome (in any customer service setting). Well, never going there again! My mom went once before when it was dead and had a great pedicure, so we went for mani and pedi's today. It was busy, because it was a Saturday afternoon, so our mani and pedi's were super short. I'm sorry, but I am paying you for a service that should last the same time no matter if it is busy or slow. They rushed polishing my nails and didn't even paint the whole nail. They didn't even massage our feet or hands. She basically ripped my toe separators off.  I felt like I was inconveniencing her getting my nails done at a nail salon. Sorry to interrupt your work. Read Less

Enjoyed our post-camping pedicures! Tons of tables and pedicure chairs! We didn't have to wait and our pedicures lasted about 45 minutes. They also have two kids chairs! The nail salon smell is noticeable but for the quality and price it was very relaxing and I would recommend going there! Read Less

Stay away!!!  The owner is rude, condescending and tactless.  His work is also shoddy at best.  This was the first time I ever had my nails done and it was the most unpleasant thing I have ever experienced.  AJ, the owner,is a controlling know-it-all who tries to force his clients to have the services for which he can charge the most and totally ignores the client instruction.  He obviously does not value his paying customers.  Not worth your time or money!!!!  Too bad you cannot give no stars because this establishment does not deserve any!!! Stopped for a quick polish change...WORST nail salon EVER! Dirty equipment unprofessional and did the worst paint job on my nails. Wanted to quickly get out of there in a hurry,I didn't say anything went to pay for the $10 polish change then the RUDE owner states I can't pay with a card because it has to be a minimum of $12. I gave them another chance after a mediocre mani pedi but was disappointed once again. Gel color looked way different than one on sample. Was upset because it's not what I wanted. Not happy that I have to be in a wedding with these poor quality nails! She did a sloppy job but even when I pointed it out she acted like she didn't know what I was talking about. Will never spend my hard earned money there again! Not to mention I also noticed how they "clean" their  brushes they use to scrub your feet. I was disgusted. They just rinse and dry!! Worst pedicure I've ever had. I took my sister and hers was awful as well. Maybe 10 minutes? They rushed through it. Nail polish and top coat applied too quickly over that it too forever for it to dry. Nails weren't painted thoroughly. Definitely not recommended. Read Less
