My new favorite salon!!! Not only is the ambience great and the employees so freaking nice but Jess did an amazing job on my hair. I came to them after having a terrible experience with another salon screwing up my hair cut and they reaffirmed my faith that good hair stylists still exist. My boyfriend and I got our haircuts here. As soon as we walked in, we were offered tea or water. The salon was clean and beautiful. My stylist, Maureen, was absolutely wonderful. She started by giving me a scalp massage. She massaged my hands as well after washing my hair. She was very helpful and gave me a lot of great tips. She definitely knew what she was doing and walked me through what she was doing and why at every step, which I really loved. She was very friendly overall. Sarah has been cutting my hair for years, and I have always been very pleased. Sarah and all the stylists at R salon, have always kept current by participating in styling events by top hair talent. Sarah just recently attended such an event and learned a new cutting style. She cut my hair in my usual Bob, but used her new technique. Poor customer service experience. Was running late, called and was told it would be fine and that I was the last appointment. Staff should have been clear on the phone what the cancellation policy was or at least ask if I was willing to pay again,and I was. The new location is beautiful and right across the street from the old one (so don't be scared you won't find it).  There is always someone at the front desk ready to help you and show you to your service area.  The facials are upstairs where there is a cozy area with a few chairs while you wait.  I do miss the easy access to the tea and water that is now located towards the salon area vs the reception area, meaning if you aren't offered it when you walk in, you miss the opportunity to grab some as you are being shown upstairs.  Luckily, Maria is the best and after she gives you a facial she is always waiting with fruit infused water for you when you are done.  I highly recommend booking with Maria.  She takes her time studying your skin before deciding what types of products will work best for you during your facial.  She takes her time and does everything thouroughly.  She applies the products and carefully works them into your skin.  I love getting facials from her, because it is as relaxing as getting a massage, but with the benefit of beautiful, radiant skin when you are done.  -Francie Read Less

I've been a rSalon customer for....years! The salon has transformed over the years under the creative direction of it's owner, Scott BUT the one constant is the stylists' talent! Jena, Sarah, Deanna, Scott - they've all done my hair over the years and they're all amazing! They share the same philosophy - customer 1st. When I leave the salon, I feel beautiful and relaxed! The complimentary hand massage while my hair soaks up the Aveda love is that special extra that makes the whole experience. I knew before we moved to Webster this would be my place. I'm also an Aveda junky and if I could run a line of Shampure into a room for the smell alone you can bet I would. Booking is easy, either by phone, in person or more conveniently, online (because granted, sometimes we are forgetful and wait until we have 3 inches of new growth and look like a sea witch and then it's midnight and we go into oh-shit mode ). The perks and rewards have always been amazing. Scott and the staff take care of EVERYONE who walks through the door. Every service I've had has been absolutely top-notch! Jessica is my nail queen and there is nothing like Erin's massage! I have awful neck and back muscles and she gets them back in line. I've had both Deanna and Kayleigh work on my hair and I'm SOOOO happy with the care they give it! On my most recent visit, Kayleigh took my hair from something mismatched and resembling a mangey wild cat (thanks to the aforementioned midnight oh-shit moment) and step by step is getting it back to a color I am wanting it to be.....ALL while keeping it healthy and not fried like a southern chicken. Had several excellent massages from Erin - Very relaxing. I recommend the hot stone massage. There is a loss of star due to the facials that I had here appear more for relaxation rather than therapeutic (Which is fine but I wanted more lasting benefit). They do try and sell you the products but aren't pushy. The salon is cute, clean and trendy. If you are trying to schedule an appt online and it doesn't appear there is one - call the salon as I found this a much easier way to schedule. Read Less

I've never been a repeat customer at any salon (outside the one I went to as a child) but I've been back to r Salon for a second visit, and I'll keep going.Erica is a great stylist who really listens and communicates with you about your hair.  Everyone in the building is friendly, the cuts are reasonably priced, the products are great (and not oversold, which I despise) and the work is thorough.  Scalp massage and a glass of wine?  Why, yes, thank you.My only only qualm was probably the price of a wax, but that was done with such time and care, that I understand why they are charging so much, based on the stylist's time.I love r Salon, and I'll keep coming back.  Especially now that I'm hooked to the Aveda shampoo and conditioner.  So you'll see me there everytime I run out of shampoo :) Read Less

I come for an amazing haircut with Erica. I stay for the scalp massage. Seriously, this salon has got a fantastic balance of affordability ($40 for a women's cut with Erica), luxury (CUCUMBER WATER, WHAT?!) and style.They've got other services besides cut and color but I haven't ventured out there yet.
