Just had the worst experience for a pedicure in my life at tops. Can't even believe how badly I was treated. I explained I needed the one who gave the best massage for me and my friend i went with needed it soft. Well the girl barely touched my legs and didn't touch my feet at all so I asked nicely about massaging my feet and the girl gave me total attitude and kept rolling her eyes then started talking smack to the other girl next to her doing my friend. I went to this nail salon 2 weeks ago today.  I booked a mani/pedi/brow wax online with no problems.  I arrived early and they were able to take me when I walked in the door.  As the technician began removing my current nail color he asked if my nails were real or fake.  I found that odd due to him being a nail professional. He ensured that my manicure was great. However when the color was being applied he did it differently than I had seen done before. Im no expert, so I just figured it was due to using a different brand than what my regular salon used. Fast forward to the pedicure. The technician, same as who did my nails, pointed out that my feet had a lot of skin on them. Seriously, I know this. I had gotten a pedicure 3 weeks before this .  Its the summer and I work in retail. Im on my feet for over 40 hours a week and wear sandles.  I found it incredibly unprofessional. When you work in a service field, you're trying to retain guests by having a good experience, not run them away. My pedicure was finished and my tootsies were drying. I figured that my eyebrows were getting ready to be done next. Truth be told, I was tired and ready to leave.  The technician then started another guests' pedicure while my tootsies were drying. I guess he didnt want anymore of my business.  So, I just let him cash me out once my toes were dry. The next part is what really angered me. I chose the powder nails due to staying power and easy maintenance. I have seen this style of nail last for over 3 weeks. I was visiting from out of town, so there is no way that their "satisfaction guarantee"will really help me in this sitaution. In LESS than a week I noticed there were cracks and splits in the polish on most of my fingers.  In fact 2 of my nails plus my big toe had large tears in the polish. Now at 2 weeks, my nails are a MESS! I have had to cut 4 nails down because of the SEVERE tears in the polish. So it is 1 of 2 things.... either the technician or the product is substandard and defective! I would NOT recommend this salon to anyone out of town!!! Best pedicure I've had here ! Amazing what they do with the plastic wrap. Really long leg and foot massage ... and really talented. Just wow! I went to top nails and they weren't very talkative. I was hoping they could find me the closest color to a picture I brought in but they just pointed to the back wall and told me to find it on my own. When it came to doing my acrylics, I wanted very long stilettos and they were confused what that was so I said pointy and showed them the picture. While he was doing it he went to cut it pretty short and I said longer and he just cut it and eventually made it shorter and shorter as he went. When they were done they didn't look anything like what I wanted. And I went to pay him after and he was no where to be found so I stood there for a good minute or two. I showed my husband later that day and he also pointed out that a couple of them were crooked. $40 down the drain and I took them off that day and went somewhere else. Read Less

The first time I came here, the service was great.  The nail tech was really thorough and she did a great job and the gel lasted for just under 3 weeks. The second time I came here, I did NOT have a good experience. I came in for a gel mani. During the nail trimming I asked about a gel matte top coat. I was told it costed 5$ on top of the gel manicure. I thought that was really expensive in comparison to other nail shops so I declined to add it. My nail tech didn't speak very much English (not a problem), it seemed, so the male nail tech next to her kept interjecting in our exchanges and interrupting his own client to answer my question. I appreciate the help with the language barrier but I felt bad that he kept stopping the work he was doing on the lady next to me. During the whole matte top coat exchange, he kind of laughed at me for saying it was really expensive. Then he translated to my nail tech and they giggled together. I know they were talking about my question because he specifically said "matte gel". Then when the owner (I'm guessing) came over, the male nail tech told him about my question and they all giggled again. It was rude and kind of off-putting. After my nail tech had done the first coat of the color I'd chosen I noticed that the color on my nails had more of a pink hue to it than the neutral grey/beige I had picked out (see photo). So I told her it was really pink and asked why it didn't match the gel swatch I had picked it from. Once again, the male nail tech interjected and told me that it's the manufacturers fault. He asked if I wanted to take it off but I honestly didn't have time to start all over again. Usually a nail tech will show you the color on your nail after they've done one nail to make sure the color is what you were looking expecting. My nail tech did not do this so I didn't realize the color was wrong until it was too late. I was visibly disappointed and held up the swatch next to my hand so they could see that it didn't match. They just kinda shrugged and asked, "so it's good?".  No. It's not good. Now I'm stuck with a color I don't like and the nail techs didn't even try to fix the situation aside from starting over. They did not offer a discount or a credit or any kind of apology at all. I'm not looking for a hand out, but at least try to make your customers happy, instead of laughing at them.So now I'm stuck with a color I don't like and the polish seems kind of thick, so I don't think it will even last as long as it's supposed to before it starts lifting. This visit was not worth the money. And I probably will not go back or recommend the business to friends. Read Less

My friend & me went to this salon get my manicure shellac done . We're not happy with their work . They didn't do a good job at all. My nails look messy, the shape uneven &the shellac polish chip off in 2 days.! I'll never come back here again.!! Not good experience . Read Less

I usually enjoy going to this place but this last visit I wasn't impressed at all. The woman that did my pedicure was decent but the guy that did my nails was a whole other story. When he began I noticed his hands. They looked dirty. Were dry and cracked and even were cracked open where I could see a cut on them. I asked him to wear gloves. He seemed anounyed and began speaking to the coworker beside him in his native language. I could tell he was talking about me(Annoyed me). Lori did my nails and I absolutely loved them. Then she went on vacay and I opted for the dude with the hair..... wasn't crazy about him. my mom and I had stopped by the shop to try it and to my surprised they were not open yet but lyna (hope i said her name correctly) was so kind to accommodate us. we had our manicures and pedicures done. my mom loved hers as well as mine. I adore my color-changing gel nail polish! Since the place is new everything is so clean and they take their time in cleaning your nails. Im looking forward to my next visit. Read Less

Just want to take a minute and say thank you to the team at Top Nails. I went in last Thursday and had my nails filled and shellacked and on Saturday a nail broke because the acrylic was filed down to thin. Today I went in there to have the one nail fixed and everyone was kind and helpful. They fixed my nail helped me find the nail color that I already had and sent me on my way .. No questions asked, no nasty attitude, and not one time did they try and blame me (the customer). Other salons in the area should take a page out of there book where customer service is concerned !! I love going here I have been twice now both for pedicures and I love the jelly coconut pedicure that they have. They are always very kind understanding and patient! I brought a friend here today who had a horrible nail experience at another salon and absolutely loved the work they did today. The place is decorated nicely very clean and you don't feel rushed. Amazing nail and lash services! I'm from Florida and had our wedding in boldt castle last weekend. CeCe the manger was so professional and very accommodating ,she even helped me find a hairstylist and make up artist which was hard to find in Alex Bay. She was so patient answering my texts and calls since I am from out of state.Lynna did my Lashes and looked so natural! She is amazing!The salon is clean, inviting and very comfortable. This place was amazing. I have been to other nail salons around Watertown and they have all felt like I was being herded in and out. This place actually felt like a spa experience. I had only ever had a basic pedicure before, so I treated myself to the paraffin wax. The $40 price tag seemed steep but I had a rough week. BEST DECISION. I kid you not my feet were so baby smooth I couldn't walk in my sandals because I was sliding around so much. I jokingly told my friend to touch my foot and she was amazed by it. It sounds silly but they did an incredible job. They don't just stick your feet in water, trim your nails and clean your cuticles. My feet were massaged at least three different times with hot towels, exfoliant, and lotions. The woman was so sweet and made sure nothing was too hot, and even offered me some water. Just moved here and was looking for a nice clean nail salon. Was very impressed at first with the decor and cleanliness. However,  the time it took to do a pedi and gel mani was almost 2 hours. I had asked for my nails to be filed squared and some were round and others squared and the gel on my hands started peeling off that evening. My toes look like I painted them myself with a blindfold. Don't know why I even tipped. I will never go back! I had a young lady from Puerto Rico that is very depressed about being here and did nothing but mope and complain about the cold do my nails. Each time I've received a pedicure, one time I've received a manicure, and today will be my second time for eyebrows. The have a lot of colors to choose from, normal polish and gel. It is not often that I give any business five stars. This Nail Salon was everything that I could've asked for and more. I have spent months looking for a nail salon in Watertown. Their location is easy to access, the customer service was amazing, no one was rude or grumpy, they offered beverages, a huge selection of polishes and designs, and best of all, the nail tech paid very close attention to what I asked for and got it perfect.
