just got a full set of white tip acrylics and its not worth $45. the nail tech made me bleed and by stopping the blood she put glue on it. also not to mention, she was uneven with her filing and made my nails shorter than what i wanted. they were not talkative at all and i am very disappointed that 2 of my nails are crooked and 2 of my nails feel like they’re going to fall off. also my left thumb nail tip isn’t glued down properly so its lifted . looks like a child did my nails... worst place to get acrylics. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. INCONSIDERATE STAFF. DISHONEST. I am visiting from out of town for the holiday. I called Maiden at 3:51pm on December 26th looking to get a gel manicure and a pedicure. Whomever answered the phone asked if I could come at 5pm. I explained that I had a dinner reservation at 5:30pm down the street on Main Street in Victor and that I couldn't come in at 5 but I could be there at 4:15pm. She told me this was fine and to come on in. I arrived at 4:20pm, said “hello, this is Melissa, I called for 4:15pm, I apologize for being 5 minutes late”. I was told to pick a color. Seeing that no one was available to work on me immediately I spent a few minutes picking out a color and then sat on a couch until 4:35pm when I was asked to move to a pedicure chair and to put my feet in hot water. By 4:45pm no one was even close to being ready to work on me. By 4:50pm I had taken my feet out of the now lukewarm water. I had to ask someone to bring me a towel to dry my feet. Clearly no one was going to be able to get to me before dinner at 5:30pm. I understand that they were busy but THEY SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME that they COULDNT TAKE ME BECAUSE THEY WERE BOOKED SOLID, instead of wasting my time. I could have gone to another salon. I could have spent more time with my family before dinner. I could have done a couple errands. It’s infuriating that these people choice to waste my time instead of being HONEST and simply explaining they were booked up. I called multiple salons prior and they were busy and told me they could not take me, which is not a problem. When I left I said “It would be greatly appreciated if you’re too busy to take someone you let them know this instead of telling them to come in anyways”. I was told “You were late. We had other appointments”. I replied “I was 5 late by 5 mins and if you had other appointments and couldn't fit me in then you should have told me this, instead of telling me to come in. I told you I had a dinner reservation at 5:30pm”. I wouldn’t suggest this salon as they have no respect or consideration for their customers time. So simple to say “I’m sorry were booked”. End rant. I really tried to like this place as it's right next to my favorite daiquiri shop... My attempt was thwarted after today when I walked out in the middle of my manicure. I started off a pedicure and she clipped skin off of one of my toes. Fine. I get it. Honest mistake. ... Next was my manicure. Julie started to use the sander to take off the polish that I already had on. I know that the sander isn't the best thing for your nails but I figured since it would be faster, it'll be fine this time. She put entirely too much pressure on it and it hurt my finger. I then refused to let her continue using it. So she proceeded to remove my polish with the foil. Cool. A bit longer but at least I'll still have my nails At this point, she's visibly annoyed and she's impatiently scraping off the polish. Third strike as she uses the buffer extra hard down on my nails. I was done. I paid for my pedicure. She apologized and then blamed me for having "sensitive skin" Ok fine. Yeah. It's my fault for having sensitive skin. I've come to this place exclusively for at least four years and I can attest that they're very friendly and do excellent work. However, out of all the nail techs, sometimes Julie (the owner) is way too rough. A few months ago when waxing the sides of my face she would slap my face hard after ripping off the strip claiming it killed the pain, but that ended up making my skin break out badly and it was almost unbearable. Also I witnessed her accidentally hurting the skin of m...y best friend three times in one session, once on the foot and twice on her finger. Using the sander to take off gel polish weakens the enamel beds and normally they don't do that here. Initially she was telling my friend to let her know ahead of time that she has sensitive skin, as if she was to blame. But then she claimed it was because whatever polish was used at another salon wasn't coming off at all and that's the only reason she used the sander. My friend ended up paying for the pedicure and walking out on the manicure because it was too many mistakes to put up with and she couldn't relax because she was afraid she'd get hurt again. Julie apologized profusely and I felt bad because she's really nice, but if a customer is telling you that you're hurting them, you gotta slow down and take your time. Please don't go here...I'll save you the trouble; overpriced for the same quality work you can get anywhere else. Had to pay $50 for a gel pedicure when gel nails are half that and regular pedicure $30...not much more work on their end so unsure of the $20 price difference, gel polishes are about the same price as regular so again unsure why such a dramatic increase. Didn't even get my feet messaged which is one of the best parts of a pedicure. Took her about twenty minutes from start to finish so the paint job wasn't that great either. Another big thing, they don't use brand new brushes/files/ equipment. Nothing seemed to be sanitized properly as I watched numerous employees just take their boxes from one station to the next with no cleaning in between. Needless to say I won't be going back. I enjoy coming here because I feel that I get what I pay for. At some other salons around the area, I feel that I pay a lot and don't receive an adequate service. But here, I always receive a fantastic mani/pedi.This time did not fail that. The salon was not busy and the tech took sooo much time on my toes and nails. A nice long massage and made sure that the polish was perfect. When she did my nails, she made sure to take off any excess polish around the nail. I will never go to any other nail salon. I had been going to Hannah at this salon pretty much since they opened in Victor. I had an appointment yesterday at 2. I was on my way there but I was going to be about 10 minutes late . I got a call at 2:07 from Hannah telling me not to come because she had a 3 pm appt and had no time to do my pedicure and manicure. I told her I was almost there but she insisted I reschedule for 6 or the next day. NOW the problem is, she has kept me waiting  at the salon at times and for 2  Monday appts she never called or showed up because she was stuck at an airport!!!! One time I rescheduled and the second time her boss did my nails. Both times I was not even  called or given anything for my inconvenience. My time is as valuable as her time. Yesterday was the only time I was late and there was a very good reason. I was very angry because last time she could not do what she was supposed to do because she was "short on time", so I had 3 broken nails this time! I also do not like the techs shouting in  Vietnamese to each other and laughing at their own little jokes or whatever. It is rude! I can understand that they may be more comfortable speaking to each in their native language but  they need to understand that it is rude and makes their client uncomfortable. I will never go back there. There are many good nail salons in the area and they are easily replaced. I already have someone who was highly recommended. I originally came here in hopes of getting coffin-shaped matte black acrylics. Unfortunately they didn't have my color or the tips to do it so I opted for a pedi instead.My nail tech was nice. She talked with me a bit and did a good job of shaping  my nails. She was very particular with cuticle removal. I really needed a good foot filing and she did okay. I needed more but usually the little Asian nail shops just do a quick filing.  But for the price it was good service!Overall  the place was clean. I would come here again for a pedi in a pinch! I moved to the Victor, NY area a couple years ago and tried many nail places. Been sticking with this location for the last year. My job requires me to always be polished and look on point. The girls here do a great job. Haven't had a bad mani/pedi here. My french gel mani's last 2 often 3 weeks! I occasionally book hand modeling assignments for infomercials and feel confident the quality will be top notch and camera ready. Also I usually get their gel mani + pedi special for $50. You really cannot beat the quality for that price. I saw a few negative reviews regarding the techs speaking other languages. If you don't like staff speaking in native languages stop going to asian nail salons. This generally doesn't bother me. I understand that if you have moved to the US from anther country it is easier and more comfortable to speak your native language. If you engage with the nail techs they seem happy to chat with you but mani/pedi time for me is about relaxation and maybe catching up on emails so Im usually quiet and I like they dont pressure for conversation and let me enjoy the relax time and the leg and hand massages. A few nice perks: They have free wifi (just ask your tech for code) also they typically ask me if I want a complimentary water or soda and parking is easy and plentiful. They try to quickly work in walk-ins but once you find a nail tech you love it's better to call ahead to secure the time you want with the tech you prefer so that you wont have to wait. Read Less

I love Maiden Nails.  I have always had a great experience.  I have gone to plenty of nail places before finding Maiden Nails and have never had such good service.   Also, my manicures and pedicures seem to last longer than other places. I was a new client when they opened last year and have been faithful.After spending $88.00 for pedicure,gel fill and new nail tips,I was unable to get an appointment in the next time frame with the same girl I have been going to from the first.I got an appointment for the following week and when I went I was told my time was  for the day before.I know this was not true because I was out of town the day before  and never would have made the appointment for theal she said.I could not wait a half hour the day I showed for my appointment so I left vowing not to return.Treated very shabbily.I agree about the pedicure,way too fast and nails are not cut down very much. Worst pedicure and manicure ever!!! I have never had such a bad service. They burned my feet and they made one of my fingers bleed. Never, never again. The pedicure process normally takes about 50 minutes plus drying time, but they spent only 20 minutes on me. Literally. Then they made me walk all the way across the store totally barefoot because my toes weren't dry enough yet to put my flip flops back on - this was just so that they could turn my chair over faster. Talk about gross! They also kept me waiting there with my feet in the water for 15 minutes without saying a word to me before getting started, and without telling me that there would be a wait. To top things off, they barely made a dent in my wintertime calluses. Getting rid of those was the whole point of me going in there today, so the whole experience was just a waste. I took my sister for a pedicure since she helped me with cleaning my apartment when i moved.  It was well deserved on her part! I used to go to a place on Monroe Ave by the pittsford wegmans, but last time I went there I wasn't happy with my experience.  My friend Julie told me about this place and it is right up the street from my office and close to my sister.  We went in at 6pm and we were quickly seated for two pedicures.  The ladies that did our pedicures were soooo nice.  The place was extremely clean! The pedicure lasted about an hour and it was the normal routine.  But i do love when they put hot towels on your legs after they massage your legs! Thye had a huge array of colors to pick from and my favorite thing is, when you leave, they give you a baggie filled with a card and the files that they used on you! So if you want, you can bring those back for next time or they will use new items on you.  Also, since it was our first time there they opened up new tools to use on us.
