I went in on New Year’s eve about an hour before they were closing to have my hair styled for the party I was going to. No cut, no wash, just a styling. I showed a picture of a waterfall braid that I wanted done, which I don’t believe is a very difficult style to do, I just can’t do it to myself. They got me right in, but the only hair stylist available took one look at my sample pic and kind of laughed and said “ok, I’ll be honest with you, I suck at braiding.” what kind of hair stylist can’t braid? I told her just to curl my hair instead (which I can do myself but figured it’d be nice to have someone else do it for once), and then just maybe put it half up or something. She proceeded to curl my hair and then took small amounts from both sides, braided them separately (even though she didn’t know how to braid), and joined them in the middle. It took a total of 20 minutes tops. I didn’t get a chance to really look at it but then she was trying to rush me out the door. So I paid and left, it was like $70. Once I got home and really looked at my hair I realized it was not at all How I wanted it to look. I took out the “braids”, heated up my curling wand and fixed the curls myself. I never went back to complain, but I’ll definitely never back for any other service. Read Less

I always try to work out issues with a business before ever considering writing a bad review but clearly this place has bully policies so buyer beware! I work in the mall and thought it'd be so nice to use the salon close by for trims as I grow out my pixie cut. I have been growing it for six months and finally had some significant length that needed to be brought up on my neckline. After showing the hair dresser the finger length pixie to show the shape I liked on my l neck and expressing that I'm trying to grow out my hair, she began to "cut" my hair. She SHAVED the back of my head. Shaved. All the way up into a brand new graduated pixie. As if that isn't bad enough, it is uneven lengths and weight is different on either side. After walking out to return to work a few doors away, I realized (and was told by coworkers) just how bad it was. I quickly went back and asked for a refund. I was told that wasn't there policy to refund money (really ever?!) but I could come back in a "few months" for a complimentary shape up. Absolutely NOT. No a manicure will not make up for it. No you cannot touch my hair again. No service you offer will fix what happened. Now I have to go pay to get it fixed by a competent stylist. I will continue to dispute the charge until I am refunded. Terrible customer service. Read Less

On March 25th around 7pm I walked into the Euphoria salon in Victor, NY looking for a men’s hair care product to fit my needs. I was originally greeted by a very sweet young woman who offered my fiancé and I tea. We were then approached by another employee who explained a few products that she recommended. We felt a little pressured to purchase, however were assured that we could return the merchandise within 14 days if we were unsatisfied. Feeling more confident about the item, we chose to purchase it. After a tour around the mall, we returned to Euphoria with buyer’s remorse as it was not quite what we were looking for. We didn’t want to be wasteful by returning a used item that another client could not enjoy. Upon approaching the cashier, were were told that all sales were final, in addition only a gift card or exchange could be offered which completely contradicted the policy she stated earlier. She proceeded to point to a sign printed in small font approximately 3 feet behind her, further stating that there was nothing she could do to help. Being incredibly frustrated, I asked for a customer service or district manager’s contact information. The employee instructed me to call the Buffalo, NY location and speak to one of their managers as they did not have one on site nor a senior district manger on staff. I obliged, only because she stated that she had to leave for the day. Not only did she apologize to the young cashier she left behind but offered her good luck in dealing with me. At this time I would like to acknowledge that this is my first and lasting impression of your company. I find it difficult to accept in this day and age that any team leader would leave a client with an unresolved issue. Having no other option I reached out to the other store. A woman by the name of Margaret listened to our experience and originally stated that she didn’t understand why they were not able to take back the product. She also declared that only makeup was final sale. Perhaps we were making some progress right? Unfortunately not. I reiterated that the purchase was literally made within the same hour, product unused and unopened that we just wanted our original form of payment returned to us (about to thank her and walk back into the store to communicate this information to the employee left behind the desk). Margaret then began to change her original statement to support the policy written on a small sign behind the desk. I kindly pointed out that this was not verbally communicated, even contradicted. Margaret proceeded to explain to me that it is not necessary for any associate to acknowledge a return policy in order to support it and it was the responsibility of the customer to understand it prior to making a purchase. This must be either a really horrible dream or a cruel joke. On what planet is a client responsible to adhere to a policy that wasn’t originally given? If this was not already insult to injury, Margaret contented to berate me by reading the store policy verbatim. When I asked her for another customer contact, she continued to speak over me about when I would be able to call back and speak to another manager who would “only reiterate what I was just told but in a way that I would better understand”. She then stated, “are we done here because I have clients that actually want to pay”. I am left utterly speechless. Read Less

On March 25th I went shopping for cruelty-free, men’s, hair care products and came across Euphoria at Eastview Mall. I was greeted by a nice young woman who offered me tea while I shopped. She and another employee (Kasey) helped me select a product that suited my needs and even allowed me to try a sample in my hair. They assured me that if I was unhappy I had 14 days to return it. Wonderful. Not so much. After about an hour I did not like the feel of the product in my hair and came back to return it. I was informed that they did not accept returns, only exchanges or store credit. I was astonished to learn that this policy was printed in a small frame behind the counter and contradicted the statement I was told earlier “you have 14 days to return this”. I’d love to know what store does not accept returns? It’s like a restaurant not giving free refills on soda, not telling you, and then charging you for the refills! For a policy that is not normal and widely used, this no returns policy should be explained to the customers in a clear fashion, especially new customers that are oblivious to the world of expensive, hair care products. I asked Kasey to speak to a manager, or a DM and they explained there wasn’t one on site and to call the Buffalo store to speak to someone. My fiance called and was treated rudely and with a condescending tone. At the end of the conversation--not getting anywhere--Margaret then stated, “are we done here because I have clients that actually want to pay”. Frustrated we hung up with Margaret. For a new customer, especially an oblivious one, there should have been a clear communication of this arcane policy. The lack of customer service, rudeness and swift matter in which we were dealt with was appalling. I was hoping to find a brand and a salon I could use in the future, and this is not going to be the case. Read Less

Hey All,So I will be the first to say I am not into naturals or into a lot of the new fads out there. I first Discovered Euphoria when I followed my Long time stylist Petra from her previous salon here. I can honestly say that I like the shampoos, conditioners but what I like the most is how happy Petra and the other stylist seem here. They talk about education classes and show that Euphoria management really works to encourage their stylist to improve and obtain skills. The salon is always clean and stocked and I have never had the experience I had other places where things couldn't be found or were out of stock for my appointment. I can say my hair also seems to be liking the natural products. Re: Petra I can honestly say that I have traveled nationwide (I am a traveling Nurse) and I cant count the number of times I have come home to Rochester in the last 5 years since leaving to have Petra fix terrible colors, cuts or just all around bang up jobs on my hair. She always takes the time to figure out how to address the problem within reason and try to stay within my boundaries (i.e. no bangs, layers, needs to be kept long enough to put up) There have been a few times that it has been so bad that I have needed a variety of treatments and even the recommendation has been made for two appointments several weeks apart (hard to do when I live in other states) but I always leave much better then when I started. If you are unsure she usually has exampled of cuts or colors that she has done in the past so you don't have to necessarily pick something out of a book - often times I just allow her to wing it within my parameters and I come out happy. I would recommend her the only thing I have never had done by her is an formal up-do so I can't speak from those (but I am sure she prob. has pictures somewhere of those :) ) but everything else from colors, to color correction and cuts while I like Euphoria I honest will/would follow her if she ever chose to leave here. Happy Hair Appt. :) Read Less

The worst haircut I have ever gotten. I am from Chicago and maybe I am just spoiled by great stylists but I decided to give Euphoria a chance since I was in town visiting family. I went to Petra who was nice and a more senior stylist. I figured since I was paying a bit more it would be fine. I also love Aveda so figured this would all work out. All I wanted was a couple inches off the ends of my long hair and some layers and angles. When she finished it looked okay but you don't really get to inspect your hair much in five seconds staring in a mirror with your stylist. When I got home, I noticed all the ends were different lengths by a long shot (half an inch or more)! The layers were so choppy and didn't flow at all. It looked terrible. I got back to Chicago and went to a real senior stylist who was astounded that I just got it cut considering how uneven and crooked it was. Thankfully it was fixed but I do NOT recommend this salon. I redeemed my Aveda points for a massage at Euphoria. Points or not, I am definitely booking more appointments with Susan for a deep tissue massage. In fact, I was so pleased that I'm probably going to end up buying a series of six one hour massages. Susan is an excellent massage therapist.  I didn't realize how clenched all the muscles in my body were until she demonstrated her expertise and it felt like I had a new body when she was done.  I can't believe how much stress I was carrying around in my muscles and that I had grown so accustomed to the feeling that I was unaware of how tightly wound I was from head to toe.  Not anymore thanks to Susan!I did take one star off for two reasons.  First, the massage rooms are not sound proofed, so I heard quite a bit of noise bleeding through the wall where on the other side people were getting haircuts. Second, I was shopping the Aveda skin care product lines and had some questions, but the girls working the front desk, although they were polite and courteous, had not a clue about any of the products. They called over the one person who is supposed to be knowledgeable about the products, but even her answer was vague. Lucky for me Aveda has an 800 number and they answered my questions. Not surprisingly, the answer they gave was the exact opposite of what the girl at Euphoria told me. Not any of the girls' fault, but poor training of staff by management in my opinion.  Your employees should know about the products being sold. Read Less

Came here for a facial after I made a terrible mistake that caused me to break out! (I did a full facial wax before going to the Grammys, knowing my skin is sensitive and breaks out!) I'm a last min. kind of girl so they were able to fit me in on short notice.I arrived early and filled out the usual paperwork. The waiting area could've been a little classier and been in a better location, but not a big deal.Unfortunately, this is not a true "spa" spa. They just have rooms for performing services, where you undress and leave your clothes on a chair. No showers and locker rooms where you get into a cozy robe. No relaxation area to unwind in. Anyway, the girl who did my facial was straight out of school, but she did a better job than I expected. I was nervous  she wouldn't get in there! I need extractions, which she performed but I could've used more of. All in all, decent. I would go here in a pinch. Read Less

I first came here on a whim after a breakup (note-  breakup haircuts are usually not a good idea) because I needed a change. And I wound up with the best haircut of my entire life! The place is clean and bright, with the usual Aveda aroma. The staff is kind and accommodating - the host will offer you tea or water while you wait. I've been back twice now and I've never had to wait long. They always have a chair open, but you can also  make a reservation. The products they use are all Aveda, so they are organic and not tested on animals. Many of the products are even vegan. If it sounds like a place you're looking for, do yourself a favor and call ahead and ask for Stryker. He is the most talented hair dresser I've ever met. Everyone else does a great job too, but Stryker is the real gem. He is friendly and professional, but also a good laugh. Not to mention an excellent stylist.I will be coming back again and again; I've never been disappointed here! Read Less

Wow....what a visit! I went this past Saturday for my birthday. I booked an appointment online: a facial with Nicole. First off, when you walk in, the place smells AMAZING. Very welcoming atmosphere. At the welcome desk, you check in, fill out a form, and are offered tea or water while you wait. Nicole came out, led me to her room, and informed me of the  whole process, using the information I provided on the form to make decisions about my treatment. The treatment itself was wonderful; she let me choose from four different oils to include in the masks, a little aromatherapy never hurts. Lovely music was playing, the bed was warm, and she was extremely gentle with my skin the whole time. Included was a neck, shoulder, arm, hand, and scalp massage. The hour went by too quickly, it seemed! If you're looking for some relaxation and skin care, don't hesitate to visit! I am DEFINITELY going back! Read Less

I don't live close to Euphoria but I have been going to the salon for about 3 years now specifically because of their customer service. I get my hair done by Melissa and waxing services done by Renee and they always accommodate my needs (even the last minute services I sneak in there)... I'm not sure what happen with "Svetlana" but based on her other reviews she clearly likes to attack people individually and if you took time to read their price list/menu (which is located right at the reception desk) you would see they charge $28 for styling your hair after a color. While most salons include that price into their color price Euphoria happens to price it separately. I have never had a bad experience at Euphoria (including with the Manager who is always friendly with me) I would and HAVE recommended this salon and spa to others! You get what you pay for and the $28 is so worth it! Read Less

Read Less

The only good I can say is that the woman who did my eyebrows (Petra) was incredibly nice and personable. My eyebrows are not even (one has a nice arch amd the other is straight), I was burned by the wax (which I can understand thatbsome waxes are hotter or producta can reach but still...) and they charged nearly TWENTY dollars for this. She did ask me if they looked okay after however you cant really tell until a good 20 or 30 minutes later after redness goes down and when your eyes readjust after them being shut and you're in normal lighting.Mind you that this photo was taken 6 or 7 hours after the service.

Read Less
