Had a deep tissue massage with Michael yesterday. It was amazing. I have lower back problems, and my shoulders and neck get all knotted up from working at a desk. I haven't gotten a hair cut in almost a year. This is how picky I am about my hair. I was so scared about not finding a good hair dresser. We just move not too long ago to victor and I've been reading reviews from all over to find a good hair dresser. I finally decided to give it a chance. I requested Taylor because I could see many customers were happy with her work. Well let me tell you. She's a doll!!  Very friendly but not annoying like some where she would make your experience unbearable. She's very sweet and really listens to what you ask her to do with your hair. I love my hair cut!!! And I love their products. I couldn't stop smelling my hair like a freak lol. I cannot wait for my hair to grow this way I'll have a reason to go back. I moved to the upstate area last July and have been needing a good salon. I don't cut my hair often, maybe 2-3 times a year, but I was well in need for a cut! My last cut was a lob done by a stylist in Fairport that was ok, but was not growing out well - though it did even out... ish. After months of scrolling through Yelp to find a new salon, I decided to visit Allora. I made my appointment for Friday afternoon and met with Taylor. She's so sweet and tries to make good conversation without being too nosy. When I got in, I didn't really have any idea of what I wanted. She ended up keeping my hair pretty similar (style-wise) but was able to make it lighter (weight-wise) and trimmed off a lot of the split ends without making it look super short. She also balanced out the look and gave me layers which I loved! What I appreciated most about Taylor was that she knew what to do with my hair and explained why she would do something. I have coarse, thick Asian hair so I do get nervous when I go to a new salon. Taylor decided to cut my hair dry and explained why this would be best considering my hair style (apparently dry cutting let's the stylist see how the hair will fall better than wet cutting would for coarse hair. Who would've thought!). I believe I've found my salon! I don't go often, mainly because I like to grow my hair out usually, but if I ever need to color it or an updated cut, I'm definitely planning to come back for Taylor! Read Less

Tried this salon because a friend of mine gets her hair done here by Taylor and it always looks fabulous. It was very easy to book appointments online and I was able get an appointment for a Sunday afternoon. The salon itself is really cute and spacious and they have water, tea, and coffee to drink while you wait. Taylor came to get me right on time. I told her how much I love my friend's hair and she knew exactly who my friend is and what she did with her hair. I got a cut and balayage and was done within two hours and my hair looks fabulous! The balayage looks incredibly natural and I have gotten so many compliments. Plus, I never felt awkwardly pressured to keep up a conversation, Taylor was extremely easy to talk to but was also fine if if was quiet. I received a gift card for this spa and had the Chardonnay manicure and pedicure.   My nail technician was nice and did a fine job.   I think their prices are too high for what you get.   They offer water, coffee and tea. Read Less

It is small but offers a variety of services. I only went for a mani/pedi but they did a nice job. The staff was friendly and took plenty of precautions to keep things sanitary and to ensure that my nails would remain in good shape prior to leaving. The prices were a little high but I was part of a bridal party. I'm not sure if that made a difference. Read Less

The staff is friendly and they wanted to do a good job! ....After I had my trial appointment for hair and makeup, I thought I had made the best decision ever for the wedding! I felt beautiful and thought that I would look perfect on my actual wedding day. We decided to keep everything the same as we did on the trial except instead of my up-do towards the left side of my head, we went with the right side of my head, so people could see it when we were standing on the alter. I, unfortunately, had a disaster of a hair day that day... I got my hair done at 12:30, my ceremony was at 4, and by the time we finished the receiving line at 4:45, my hair was falling out and none of the bobby pins were staying in place. I was really unhappy with how everything turned out. We paid about $1,300 for myself and 7 other up-dos. Everyone else got the money's worth except for me, and I was the bride!!! My makeup was GREAT.. but the hair was an absolute disaster...... Which is really disappointing. One of my bridesmaids actually had to redo her bangs because one of the stylists just hairsprayed her bangs to the side and it looked really clumpy and bad. She redid her hair.... For a regular cut, and style, I would recommend this place. But I would suggest going elsewhere for a wedding if you want your hair to stay in place. All of our wedding photos look bad because my hair is falling apart. Its really disappointing because I thought that the trial went so well..... It's too bad.
