Called in the morning and was able to get a same day haircut with Izabella. It was great! She took notice of my hair type and what I wanted and gave me a blunt cut that got rid of my split ends and recommended a deep conditioning treatment that really helped my frizz. Everyone was really nice here and everyone from the receptionist to the owner was friendly and accommodating. My hair feels smooth and thick now. I'll definitely be back.I wish the products were a little cheaper! But I did appreciate the new customer goodie bag. Best salon I've ever been to in the 10 years I've been exploring new places. Every single person who works here is a doll!! They all treat you like a friend and take their time hearing all your needs and questions whilst giving professional advice and suggestions along the way. I have had my hair done by 4 girls here and the first girl literally saved my hair from all the damage other salons had put it through. She's not there anymore. This place is wonderful. I've been coming here for over ten years, and I always leave feeling pampered and beautiful. My mom and I tend to make it a half day extravaganza whenever I'm in town.They offer a wide variety of services including waxing, manicure/pedicure, hair styling, etc. My more recent visits have been for hair coloring and mani/pedis. For color treatment, I highly recommend Colleen. She's the only one who's ever touched my hair with dye, and I wouldn't go to anyone else. She takes her time in mixing the color perfectly and pays close attention to detail. Any of the haircut specialists are great, though I'm partial to Norman. He knows what he's doing and will make you laugh. Pam and Helena are the nail and waxing experts, and either of them are good bets. Don't be deterred by Pam's crazy long nails--it doesn't stop her at all from doing her job. In the heart of tarrytown, I definitely recommend this salon.Oh and there's a free parking lot in the back! I've been going to Eclipse for a few years now. Izabella is amazing as is all of the staff. She takes her time to talk to you about what you would like, but also considers the health of your hair as you plan what to do. I've had only amazing cuts and color by her. I've moved to 2 other stated but still come back for her. She really is that special! I knew I wanted to look like myself on the day of my wedding. I had my hair trial and Ashley was so nice to talk through what I wanted since I wasn't entirely sure. My hair came out amazing and everyone commented on how good I looked. I ended up not doing a makeup trial and I was a little nervous the day of but everything came out great. I have been going to Eclipse for about 7 years and always am very pleased with how friendly everyone is. They ask if you want water or tea. When you walk in I am immediately greeted with happy faces and eager to assist me. I normally don't have to wait too long to get my hair washed before my hair cut. They take time to make sure that the water is the correct temperature (I hate hot water) and when I ask them to scratch or massage my head while washing my hair they always do and it feels amazing! My stylist Tattiana has a great sense of style and humor and we always have the best conversations while she is cutting my hair. She listens to me and knows not too cut too much and I appreciate that. I always get a big hug when I leave and of course I always remember to tip both my hair washer and stylist. Very unimpressed.  They heavily market to be voted 'best of westchester'  but they would do better to actually try to be the best instead of marketing for this title.  I asked for a bob haircut.  The stylist used a quide, and cut my hair two to two and a half inches shorter than I had asked my hair to be cut.  I have had a bob style a number of times, and never have I seen a hair dresser use a 'bob guide'  not to mention it did not look clean!  Also, the shampoo guy seemed strange and didn't offer a pleasant hair wash experience.  No hair massage, but that isn't the biggest deal.Anyway you can believe these hyped experiences which were prob all marketed if you want, but I am not falling for this anymore.  I gave this place a try two years ago and wasn't impressed, and I thought maybe it would be better now... Nope!  I am done 'giving it a shot'.Good luck on your hair salon search.  I would keep looking. Read Less

This was my first time visiting this salon, and let me just tell you what an amazing experience it was! I first walked in and was given a fabulous tour and then quickly greeted by Adriana my stylist. I was then sent to have Jordan wash my hair let me just tell you he is one-of-a-kind definitely made me feel at home! I have been going to Danielle for a year and a half now and would never let anyone else touch my hair- she is amazing! I was referred to her by an associate who swore she was the go-to for ombré. I went in with dirty blonde, chemically treated, damaged, breaking, splitting hair wanting a dark brown to blonde ombré. She knew exactly what I wanted and my hair looked and felt better than I could've ever expected in one visit. Since then she has been working with me to make my hair healthier and longer always giving great advice and recommending products (Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair & treatments) that have shown so much improvement. This salon is wonderful, very inviting and attentive from the second you walk in. I've switched around stylists quite a lot here (just because I started out with one and ended with a different one and 2 moved) I'm actually saddened that one of them moved because she was a color genius ! I think all of the ladies here are really beautiful and friendly and genuine. The first time I came here she was honest with me that I was hanging on to my dead hair and needed to cut it off to make it healthy again. NO ONE at any other hair salon has been so honest and wow now I have such healthy hair. She cut like 8 inches off and boom I had a pulp fiction look. A year later and I am still a loyal customer. She did an amazing job blending and shaping my desired long layered cut, from what looked like Edward Scissorhands created.Awesome blowout as well. I have gone to so many different stylists here (usually because I schedule so last minute) and every one I have had always did an amazing job. They really know how to make sure they're hiring people there that know 100% what they're doing and can do it with perfection. I had terrible highlights done at a previous salon where my roots were a rusty orange, my mid-shaft was ice blonde and my ends were stripy dark brown with the ice blonde -- AWFUL. Theresa was able to correct it by blending and toning it flawlessly in the first visit.Unlike every other salon, she really examined the condition of my hair that the previous salon left it in (which was breaking everywhere). She made sure to be extremely delicate and warn everyone else to do the same with it. She made sure to avoid all severely damaged sections of my hair with any processing that would break it further.I came in looking like a two-year-old did my roots and highlights and left with beautifully blended blonde that has perfect dimension. You truly do get what you pay for when it comes to hair color. Spending the extra money at a salon that knows what they're doing ends up saving your hair and avoiding extra money spent on corrective color.Always extremely pleasant, attentive and professional staff. I've had a good experience with haircuts here- I see Ashley and think she's fantastic (my husband likes her too). I'm giving two stars because the last time I got my eyebrows done here, the waxer literally ruined them, and I'm so sad about it. I had healthy looking brows, which she shaped into asymmetrical, pencil-thin, creepy looking things. I look like I'm constantly surprised. They look terrible growing out. I absolutely hate them. I had faded brown rusty looking long curly hair that needed to be tamed for a wedding. Izabella my stylist started working with it 3 weeks before the wedding. She gave me a beautiful dark brown color which complements my skin tone beautifully. She gave me a cut that makes my curls spring back in the most amazing way after every wash. She also gave me fantastic advice on how to care for my curly hair. I have always struggled with my wild lockes but thanks to Izabella I finally love my God given natural ly curly hair. The money I spend on getting my lockes tamed and under control was well worth it. Getting a color that makes me lock amazing is priceless. I booked an appointment at Eclipse for a haircut with Mark and a Color with Matt and I was very happy with both services. They discuss all my options for my hair in detail and explained what would be best for my type of hair. Both stylists were very caring and meticulous and catered to all my needs. The salon pampers you with either a complimentary hand facial or makeup touch-up after every service. This was a much unexpected treat. I was not happy at all with my first visit to this salon that is supposedly ""Best in Westchester"". It was not. I went there to get a damage repair treatment and a wash,cut, and blow dry. Let me say the girl that I had they told me had a few years of experience which I thought was fine and she knew what she was doing. When I went there they started doing my so called ""damaged hair repair treatment,"" (which they charged me $30 for), was nothing more than spraying a leave in conditioner in my wet hair and massaging my scalp for some reason. I was very upset and felt ripped off. Than I tell her to cut all my dead ends off and angle it in the front a little bit. She didn't even ask me how much I wanted to cut off she just started to cut it. It wasn't till I got home and really looked at it and she left most of my dead ends and my hair was totally uneven. The layers in the front she didn't match them up together when she cut them so its uneven in both sides. She hardly cut my hair and when she did she cut it uneven. The ""blow dry"" I got she didn't even blow dry my ends in. It was not a proper blow dry by any means. All in all I spent $100. I wasn't disrespectful and at the very least she was nice so I still tipped her. For that kind of money I expected quality. I will NEVER go there again. I will call and try to get a refund or my hair fixed with another person there. I can't speak for anyone else that works there, but my experience sucked. Read Less

I went to this salon b/c it was voted the best place in Westchester County for three consecutive years. To my detriment, the stylist I was given was out of touch with my needs/the client's needs. He did everything but what I asked for. I would be ok if the haircut was at least nice...however, instead of getting compliments from people I got critiques and they told me how horrible and uneven it looked. In hindsight, it is for the most part my fault. The first time I went he didn't do what I asked for (even thought I took three pictures for him to see what I wanted) but the haircut turned out ok. Due to the friendly atmosphere, and the fact that I was new to the area, I went again, and this time around he really chopped unevenly my hair and the haircut is simply awful. Had the best haircut of my life at Eclipse salon - Lisette is *amazing*! I've sent several friends to her (with totally different hair types) and all have been very happy. The salon itself is casual, friendly - and not as expensive as many places in NY. It's not cheap - but a good value for an amazing cut! I went in for something different and was very pleased with the way Luzette changed my look. She jazzed up my hair and treated me well. It was very long and mousy brown and now I have a rich tone with carmelish hilites and bouncy hair that I can style myself. She was down to earth and didn't try to pressure me into buying products but I bought a few because she was so helpful with her accessment of my hair.
