Came here for mother’s Day for a fill. I was told a gel fill would be $45 my next visit. So I pick my color and sit down. This visit I got an older women. Who starts filing and buzzing and shaping my nails. Which put me in a good mood because prior this my nails were very uneven or odd shaped. A few minutes after she finishes she starts putting polish on. When I asked about the fill she tells me to come back next time. That the gel polish will work until then on the nails missing acrylic. Meanwhile only have my nails for two weeks. I’ve a green fungus under three of my nails from my last visit. To make it worst I decided to get my lip and eyebrows done. One was $7 and the other was $8. When I get to check out my total is $47. I ask how much was the polish change and the lady says $15. I was left dumbfounded that a polish change and waxing was $47. Had a horrible experience. Worst spa pedicure I have ever had, basically just painted my toes. During the manicure she made two fingers bleed. She rushed me through, in and out in 35 min. As tips are earned and not deserved, I gave her $4. I was promptly told by the owner that $4 was not enough tip. I responded that tip is under my discretion and I do not feel as though she deserved more based on the service I received. She then slammed the cash register and walked away proclaiming again that I did not tip enough. I will NEVER go there again. An "okay" job if I am being honest. My gel is certainly below average. Disappointed with the price for what I got. The student discount doesn't help as much as you think it will. I was already disappointed and the older woman who was at the front cashing me out actually had the nerve to ask me to tip. I said 15% to be nice. I did not want to tip at all after what my thumb looked like. Do not ask customers to tip. Tipping shows appreciation for good service and should not be expected especially for poor work. Awful nail salon. The staff all around does not know how to do ANC and their solutions are outdated. They refuse to fix any issues with the nails, or issue any refunds. My nails cracked right across on 4 nails! They also do not buff the nail bed properly, instead they use a buffing board and which is very harsh on the nail. The nail tech who was doing my nails was also bleeding - having pinched herself with the drill bit. DO NOT GO THERE. I went there because my regular nail salon was booked. Got a tip set with gel polish on top. Everyone was very nice and professional. I loved the way my nails turned out. The price all together was $45 ($35 for the set, $10 for gel polish), which I didn't think was outrageous. They do the dip method with the tips.Will update on how long they stay! Read Less

In the past I’ve had wonderful service here. Yesterday my boyfriend and I went together, he got a pomegranate pedicure and I got a gel manicure and a pomegranate pedicure. My boyfriend had a wonderful experience, I did not. One of my cuticles on my hand now has a small scab from the manicure. After the pedicure yesterday, I had to go home and continue to finish removing the calluses from my feet as my feet were extremely rough after the pedicure. I thought Michelle was very distracted. Every time a noise was made or someone moved she stopped and looked around. At one point she was filing so hard she made my cuticle bleed. She sanded my nail so hard she burned it. I told her my left hand nails were longer and she said no. So now my left hand nails are longer. I have nail polish all over my hands and asked her to remove it and she couldn't even fully remove the polish fully. I am from out of town and just wanted a pampering session. Very disappointed. i've been going here since about April, at least once or twice a month for a fill. the first place i got my nails done did not shape my nails very good, there were huge bumps and my nails were misshaped, just all over not good looking nails. and my first time i went to Syracuse Nails & Spa that pointed out the mistakes from the first place i went, and then TOOK THEIR TIME fixing them for me!! now i always go back to Syracuse Nails for every fill. I don't know how anyone could give less than 4 stars for this place. I came here once two years ago and I haven't gone anywhere since. They are always so kind and welcoming every time I go-I like to make an appointment because they tend to be very busy, but that's a good thing, right? My pedicures always last me about an hour which is perfect and then stay good for about 2 months. my gel manicures last me at least two weeks to a month which is more than I can say for most places. I went in for acrylic nails with color on top. I had a horrible experience at Unicorn Nails ($50 for nails that lasted less than a week). When I went here, they did them the same way - the dip method. I'm not used to this, I like my acrylics the usual way done. But I have to say, so far I like them. This place uses the color acrylic, not polish. So your color won't chip. So unless your nails break off or crack off in an area, your color will stay intact. So perfect looking nails for longer! The downside is if you want a new color, you need to get them removed and a new color reapplied (so more costly), but since they should last longer it works out in the end. We will see how they do. I like the look of them. The dip method doesn't tend to be as thick, so to me not as durable but these ones seem strong. I had Lio and he was a perfectionist and very nice. And for $40 I was pleased! Horrible experience for my mother...she pointed to the 35 dollar special they had on door advertised and said I just want this.  They wanted to up sell her more and she declined just wanted the special.  They did the work and wanted her to pay $55! They locked her in the place and wouldn't let her leave!!! Pointless pedicure. My pedicure lasted about 15 mins total. They didn't even clean under my nails and barely cut any of my cuticles. I asked the guy to cut the side for me he ignored it. Laura and Cindy are soo welcoming and accommodating!!! Not only did Cindy do a fantastic job on my full in, but they were both patient in explaining the different techniques of "gel nails" to me. I received a full set gel nail in another state, and the technique was different then what this salon offered. However, the UV Gel nail fill in ( and replacement=full sculpture of 2 nails) I received here was pure artistry! No lie, Cindy is wonderful. I also pulled up a basic jewel design on Pinterest and she happily did it, while making the suggestion that I leave the accent nail shiny, because past customers complained of it not looking quite right.  Thank you Cindy because they look fabulous! While they appear to have the "cheapest" pedicure or manicure they tack on charges for every little thing making it much pricier than advertised. The nail salon was very clean they have lots of workers. There's a huge television in the back for people to watch other waiting. They do massages manicures pedicures waxes and much more. They are very friendly yet very quiet. The atmosphere is very relaxing in the price is just right specially if you're a college student you get 20% off each thing that you do there. I had a color change for my toes and I had a gel manicure done. They are very fast working in hard make sure to tip because they do a phenomenal job. With the two discounts applied to the color change in the gel manicure I came to a total of $36 not including a tip.  I highly recommend this place. This place is on early Boulevard across from Geico. Is very close to LeMoyne college. I went to get my nails done at noon and it was very busy. I have visited Syracuse Nails & Spa quite a few times & overall have gotten great service for the price. This last time the pedicure was rushed, but it clearly depends on the technician you get. Went here to get a gel mani and a pedi last Sunday done because of the reviews. My pedicure still looks pretty good although I felt rushed during the actual pedicure. My gel nails began comming off not even 5 days after getting them done. Mind you they are not chipped, they started peeling off at the cuticle. I will not be going back. Read Less

Sometimes it's really busy so I try to come on weekdays. There are a lot of chairs and employees though so it's usually fine. I've only ever had a gel manicure done here but I've done it a couple of times. The first one was done perfectly and lasted for 3 weeks with no signs of wear. The second one was done by a different nail tech and was clearly not nearly as well done, but still better than most places I've been. I just got back from Syracuse Nails and Spa and I have never ever in all my life had a waterless manicure!! They couldn't even take the time to soak my cuticles. I had gel manicure and pedicure and was done in about 25 minutes. I left home at 3:00 and was back in my house at 3:55! I spent more time drying polish on my feet than the entire mani/pedi. My heels look just same and feel just as rough as when I walked in. They didn't even put a hot towel or even lotion on my hands.... One thing I know is that if your in a hurry and don't care about being even a little bit pampered then this is the place to throw your money away! You can get in and out in 1/2 an hour for a mani/pedi. If you are just getting a mani you can make it out in about 10-15 min!! I will NOT be going back, ever. Horrible! I had a gel manicure, That lasted less than 7 days, the tips were messed up. When I went to the place to have them fix, they said to sit down and they will fix it. I sat down and when they were half way removing the gel, they said it is 5 dollars for the removal and 35$ for the new coat. When I asked politely why and they said they don't fix anything for free, even if it is their mistake. So they won't fix the nails they messed up as soon as you walked out through their door. First time here. Got a reg mani pedi for 37 bucks. Very elegant looking place, everything looked clean,but they did reuse the tools from one customer to the other which is NOT sanitary, so they definitely need to fix that. My nail tech was Annie. She was good but cut my cuticles too close to the root. Everyone was professional. Just wish they did more leg massaging during the pedicure. Visiting Syracuse from California to drop my daughter off in college and after the move-in I really needed a mani/pedi. The concierge at my hotel suggested that we try Syracuse Nail and Spa and I'm so glad we did. Everyone was so nice and professional here.  The spa is very spacious and they have an amazing selection of nail polish colors. The manager is wonderful and friendly. I got the Pomegranate Special. In addition to the very professional  service, the foot massage was A1.  (P.S. Ask for Leo!) I was so relaxed that I almost forgot I was traveling and far from home. Go to Annie!!!I love it here!  I come every 2 weeks for a pedicure and gel manicure. I prefer the IBD (maybe IDG) gel colors and find that they last longer and look nice for a full two weeks. I would recommend calling ahead, even if it's the same day, and making an appointment if you are not interested in waiting. They tend to be really busy right after 5pm and I find the best time to go is right when they open. They have an ATM, snacks, TV lounge area, and drinks. If you bring your kids or anyone with you who isn't getting something done, there is space to wait on the couches. Read Less

My mom and I loved to come for a monthly mani/pedi, but last time we were there, the nail tech sneezed into his hands - not once, but two separate times - and then continued to touch my mother's hands without stopping to wash or use sanitizer.
