Just left there from getting a gel manicure and regular pedicure. The pedicure was great and and the specialist working with me was very nice and gave good care to areas that extra grooming after three weeks. Getting the gel manicure was okay until the lady doing my nails decided to go have a smoke break while I was alternating my nails between the lightbox. When she came back she took my hands out of the box before I head alternated both the same amount of time time and started just wiping them down with alcohol without checking how long they were drying for. One of them had to be touched up as a result. She also never bothered to check her handiwork on my nails, which I had to end up touching up at home because there was still nail polish all over part of my fingers. More expensive than most places around for a gel manicure and it chipped after 2 days!When i mentioned how it was much more pricey than any other place around, the lady bad-mouthed every other place the ENTIRE TIME like she was so desperate for customers.She also said the place up the street makes you wait for at least 30 mins.. That just proves that they're clearly better!This place was empty.She then put 3 coats of the color gel and had to make it known to me that she was putting an "extra coat," even though the color needed it, and every other place does no problem.When we went to tip the girl that did our pedicures (the only one that deserved a tip.. And the reasoning behind 2 stars, instead of one).. The other women told her in front of us that it was to be split between them. So i said umm no that is JUST for her. I've been going to the ladies at nail plaza for at least 8 years since they were on Main Street in stony point. Excellent service and they are always pleasant. Even without an appointment you never have to wait long for service. Highly recommend! Read Less

I live close by so I thought I'd give this place a chance since I pass it all the time. Do not go here. When I walked in I was barely greeted I had to say hello first. Unclean. They don't wash their hands in between people. The woman working on me answered her phone and barely said a word to me while working on me very unprofessional. All of the workers look very pained to be here. Asked for a gel mani and pedi got a regular nail polish pedi. I didn't want to be one of those that have to stop and say take that off I want gels. I've only gone to Nail Plaza twice and I will never go back!  The first time I went a few weeks ago, it wasn't too bad.  It's not the nicest looking place, but they did a decent job with my nails.I went again this past weekend thinking I could get a mani/pedi and be out quick.  I got my pedi first and the girl who started doing my nails didn't speak english at all.  She had to have someone else ask me if I wanted my nails cut.  Right after that, she went to work on my cuticles, which are fine on my toes to begin with, and she ended up ripping off a part of my cuticle with my skin.  I bled continuously.  My toe didn't stop bleeding for at least a half hour.  They immediately took her off my toes and had someone else do the pedi.  The woman who took over spent the entire time dabbing my cut with alcohol since it just kept bleeding and bleeding.  It was painful and just an awful experience.  To make up for cutting me, she did a simple little design on two of my toes....definitely did not make up for what the other woman did.This was an absolutely awful experience and I will never return to this nail salon.  I do not recommend it to anyone.  It never seems to be busy in this salon and clearly there is a reason for that.  My friend I went with the first time I was there was shocked I went back since she actually thought the place seemed dirty and unhygenic.
