I have been going to Family Nails for many years and have no complaints. My nails always look good and they take great pride in their work. I am very particular and kind-of a pain--it took me many different salons before I found one who cared enough to make sure I was satisfied. To say they don't honor their appointments is false and the sign of someone who either wanted an appointment on a whim with a specific tech and she was too busy to take the appointment, or made an appointment and didn't specify who she wanted and that person was not available. The staff is always friendly and personable and the manager is far from 'barking orders' at the staff. They are hard-working and just can't accommodate everyone all of the time. The owner and his wife have three kids and they will open early and stay late to help customers out, which means sacrificing time with their family. i would recommend them to everyone, and I have! A little unprofessional. They don't honor your appointment times and rush you for their favorites. The owner never smiles or talk to you much while doing your nails. She just barks orders at you and her nail job has become hit or miss. Each time was more disappointing than the last. They've lost a customer. I wouldn't recommend this place. Read Less

Family Nails is located in Spencerport next to Pontillos.I stop in here for a pedicure when it is time, and they always do a great job.I never call ahead, just a walk in.I tend to go here for my pedis because I think they last longer than the fancy schmancy salons. That is why I am giving them such a high rating. They also have a lot of options in high quality polishes, as well as gel polishes. I know customers come here regularly for acrylics and fills.If you want a natural nail mani pedi, it is only $35, and $25 for just a pedicure.They are also open on Sundays. Read Less

I have gone here for maybe 6 visits for fills, and had noticed that there was a sign on the wall saying it was appreciated to have tips in cash...hmmmmm! That was the 1st red flag, then yesterday when I was there a women went to the counter to pay for her 2 daughters and the owner asker if she had cash. The customer said that she had tried to get cash at the ATM across the street but that it was out of commission and couldn't get it at that time. The Owner then asked her if she would be "bothered" to go and get it now. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! The women was hesitanat, but agreed to leave her 2 daughters there and go get the CASH!!! I wouldn't of done it, and I guess my question is why are they being so persistant about getting cash. Not going to claim it as income for their business???
