Mean spirited and obnoxious staff that make you feel like they are doing YOU a favor. Manager told me to wait ten minutes and after 30minutes sat me in a chair and rolled a blind in my face with my feet up ( I waited another 20 minutes ...shame on me - I should have walked out)The lady that did my nails , stopped in the middle to lend out the color to another client . I went to have my nails done for Christmas, I made an appointment two weeks earlier. I didn't wait, but that's the end of good news. The guy who was doing my nails clearly didn't have enough experience, he had to use remover a couple of times..he didn't use gloves and at the end the effect wasn't like I expected. This was my first and last time, plus they told me that it will cost 35 or maybe 40 dollars and I payed 44, I mean the difference isn't so big but for this price I expected something way more better. Been going to Pure in Southampton for several years. I usually get the Spa Pedicure and Callus Eliminator. They are ok. The pros's are that they can usually accommodate on short notice and the salon is fairly  clean.The cons:1) You rarely see the same person from visit to visit so when you find someone really good - chances are you won't see them again next time. 2) Prices are high3) Communication is tough4) Polish barely lasts an hour before chippingSo - in a pinch - it's fine. I have been to Pure on several occasions, always with appointments. I don't know why I bothered making appointments, because they ALWAYS keep you waiting (often for 20+ minutes.) The pedicures are average and you should resist efforts to be "upsold" to a "premium" pedicure package - not worth it! Run away!  This place is a rip off! I stopped in for a manicure and pedicure.  The nail tech suggested a $45.00 spa pedicure which included a 15 minute massage. This was the first time I had been to this salon, I was looking forward to this experience.  First, their definition of 'spa' is rubbing your leg with a scrub for 30 seconds. She tried to convince me to add a $5.00 callous remover. When I told her I did not want it, she took out a old, dried out, used purple scrubber and ran to over my feet for another 3 seconds. Next step is the massage.  The nail tech takes out the timer and puts it on 11 minutes rather than 15.  I assumed she would add the 4 minutes after the timer went off.  Well she didn't! As soon as her timer rang she stopped.  Also, it was the worst massage I had ever had.  My manicure was just as bad.  The polish was all over my cuticles.  My toe polish and nail polish chipped after one day.  $58.00 for a mani and spa pedi and I was only at the salon for less than an hour. If you need your nails done, take a drive into Hampton Bays and go to Epic nails. Read Less

Don't waste your time going to this salon. Manicures and pedicures are very rushed and hardly last two days. NEVER get eyelash extensions from this place. They ruined my eyelashes and are not worth the price. The eyelashes were applied incorrectly, resulting in clumped and tangled extensions. Not worth the money and time. I have been using Pure Nail all summer (2013), and have really enjoyed the results. They have wonderful customer service, and always give you a little back massage when you get a mani/pedi. I got eyelash extensions 6 weeks ago, and they are still looking great. My point of reference is Brooklyn neighborhood spots, so I'm not so much in need of pampering, but looking for a good deal. Pure Nail is a balance of pampering and affordability. I'd say the price accurately reflects the service. I haven't done waxing or massage (other than the basic chair massage). Recommended for people looking for a peaceful environment, seeking basic weekly maintenance. Read Less

This place was terrible. The person who touched up my eyelash extensions glued several lashes together. She also put full extensions on baby lashes, causing them to fall out. At night, i had trouble sleeping because her extensions kept poking my eyes when they were closed. I also got a wax where the woman pulled too hard causing inflammation and hyperpigmentation afterwards. These people are not qualified for these tasks. I feel like a fool for tipping them. Read Less

It's hard to find a reasonably priced nail salon in the Hamptons... trust me. Most all prices charge $50-$70 for a basic pedicure. When I went to Q Nails in August 2008, the price was $35 for my pedicure which I think is the perfect price. I loved the job they did. I would definitely go back. I told the girl exactly what I wanted and she made me a completely satisfied customer. My friend on the other had wasn't happy with her experience. Although instead of communicating with her nail girl, she sat there all pissy and ended up not satisfied with her experience. I would definitely go back there again. Just tell them what you want and how you want it and it's done. The salon is cute. They are very clean from everything that I saw. The music playing is pretty good and if you don't like it, they'll change it. Good selection of polishes and magazines. When I'm back in the Hamptons, I would definitely visit this place again for my pedicures. Read Less
