I am not a regular costumer here. I walked in at 6pm on a Wednesday afternoon, when the weather just started to warm up. This place states they close at 7:30. They didn't get started on me till 7pm, but to my surprise they did not rush me. It took them about an hour and fifteen mins to finish a gel manicure and pedicure. They took their time and did a wonderful job. There was only one place that had price listing for their services , that you would see only after you sit down which I did not like. I've been there three times and seen John. The 1st time I thought I had finally found my new nail place. The next 2 times have seriously changed my mind. John gets so overwhelmed and unfocused, he files into my skin until it bled on one finger, held the drill and pressed so hard it was very painful. He forgets he already cut my thumb nail and then cuts again so now its super short as he's so inattentive. I sd you cut that, I was hoping he would have fixed or redid it, but just sd," sorry...sorry " which didn't help. My nails are so oddly shaped, all different lengths, and just look horrible. I've been doing ny nails acrylic for over 12 years. The 3rd and LAST time I was there was days after my 2nd time , as my nail already lifted and fell off and my 2 middle fingers looked so wide and fake, the polish job was screwed up on at least 7 nails. John replaced my nail, then he kept filing and filing all my other nails and drilling and drilling...i sd i was just here, 4 days ago..just fix one nail and re polish, also asked him to reshape my middle fingers. I couldn't wait to leave and NEVER return. A young girl made an appt for 5:30.. They brought her to sit and noone helped her. We had been speaking earlier, it was almost 6:30, I sd where's your "person" she sd no-one came back to her...So rude, she actually had an appt. She finally left after an hour and they didnt even seem to care. If you choose to go , please dont use John, unless he gets more sleep or coffee and re -focuses . The one girl I kept getting every week was great, the powder nails never chip! The one week I got the owner guy who answers the phone. I was kinda happy because he got my nails done in a little over an hour instead of the hour and a half it usually took. Two days after spending 45$ my nails were chipping. Wonderful place. I have been coming here for 5 years now. It’s clean and they’re prices are fair. To the woman who said they don’t make white people wait, I’ve waited over 40 minutes before. At that point I ended up making appointments on the phone so that I wouldn’t have to wait anymore.... I know it’s easier to say that Jackie is being racist because she may be taking white people before you, but did you ever stop and think that maybe those people are being accommodated because they made an appointment in advance? It’s so easy to call people racist rather than asses the situation. This is an excellent nail salon and ever since moving here from Brooklyn I’ve been nothing but satisfied. Jackie is the owner she does my nails, and have done them for over 8yrs, however she would book your appointment, and you get there she has her "White" customer in the chair while u wait for over 40mins, if your in the chair and her nxt customer comes she would rush U, and openly let the white customer know "I will be with u shortly" they show Blatant racism. She Jackie has done it many times...but am use to going there because I knew the previous owner..But she did it for the last time....Am done, she made me wait for 50mins and never once said I will be with u shortly....I Believe in Karma, what you do to others unjustly...Comes back to you 10 folds.... Best nail salon in the area hands down. Everyone is always so friendly. It is extremely clean as well. I love the separate pedicure area in the back so people getting manicures aren't sitting and watching. They do a really nice powder gel and have a huge assortment of colors. I have been going here for a long time and even referred many people here. Everyone is so friendly and they do a great powder gel manicure. Ask for Jackie(the owner), Kina, or Koko. The back pedicure room is so nice. I like being away from the people getting manicures. It is so clean in there which keeps me coming back as well. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of Jackie's husband(other owner). He is a dick to be honest. He barely greets you when you walk in just looks at you and waits for you to speak. Had a really lousy manicure last month but decided to give them another try because they had a lot of gel powder designs. This place is terrible. No basic manicure services, I left with gel powder all over my hands and my nails stuck to my skin. $80 for a mani/pedi without the basic services is ridiculous. I'll never go back. Read Less

Came to this place when I visited my friend in PA. Good place to relax myself. Staffs are friendly and like to talk with you. They have many choices of design and if you want, they can customize the design for you. Good place for girls to hang out with friends. Read Less

This is the worst place I have ever been to and these are the most money hungry people I have ever met. They didn't even do a good job. Spent over 200 dollars. Then the manager who must have short term memory loss yelled at me to pay them four different times AFTER I had paid them. When we went to tip the nail people each 15 dollars, the manager who didn't do any nails yelled at my sister to give him ten dollars and ripped it out of her hands! Then proceeded to yell at me to give others the tip. Disgusting. And my nails look awful. I'm fuming. Never again! Doesn't even deserve one star. Read Less

Been coming here to get a monthly pedicure for years. They finally got new fancy message chairs for when u get a pedicure.  For the most part the service is good and i never feel like they are rushing to finish me to get to the next customer.  I always bring my own nail polish incase i have a chip I can fix it at home so i can not comment on the quality of their polishes. A truly 5 stars salon in Selden! It was my first time at this location while I've tried diff. places in long island. They offer exceptional nail service for sure. I was warmly greeted the second I walked in. Not a typical "what color code do you want today" talk, but they helped me find the exact right one when I explained what I wanted even though my explaination was kinda vague. Very nice place. Very clean the staff is friendly. Except communicating with them is a little frustrating. I went in for a regular gel manicure and the girl suggested the new powder gel which is really nice! Way thinner then regular gel and feels like my natural nails. Also she got closer to my cuticles which I like because it will last longer. I was taken right away ( I was a walk in) and mid service the girls switched because the first girl had a standing appointment which kind of annoyed me at first but the second girl was very nice and did a great job. Overall it was a good experience and I will be a return customer. I've been here before for a spa pedicure and it was very nice and relaxing. I would recommend this place to my family and friends. DON'T GO. YOU'LL BE SORRY!!!  I went here a couple of years ago and found they were stretching the polish with another clear liquid. Even the gel polish was thinner so I switched. This year I came back and have gone 3 times. The first two the polish I picked for toes was not the same color as the match to the gel fingers. I complained but they said I could not use the 'Perfect Match" which come for both. The second time Sam, the technician, switched the gel polish on me and again my nails were different color. So, I figured I'd try one more time. All these times I had an appointment and waited 10-15 minutes. Today I went back and while waiting for Sam saw them thinning out the polishes again. After waiting 1/2 hr passed my appointment I asked, for the 4th time, how much longer to hear again only a few minutes. Sam is almost done. I went to see that he was only half-way done so I walked out. I'll never go back. I'm giving 1 star for being clean establishment. Read Less

First time going here with my mom and we loved it! They take their time and really pay attention to detail .. I got the regular pedi and my mom got the callus remover and our feet came out so soft! Will have to try the spa pedi next time .. And julie did my fill in exactly how i wanted .. Great prices too $17 regular pedi (spa ones were pretty expensive but maybe ill try it next time to see if its worth the money) and fill in was 20 .. Not bad at all will def be going back! Read Less

This was the worst nail experience I have ever had (and I never have posted on Yelp before but feel compelled to).  I went in for a gel mani and pedi.  The first two colors I picked from their color wheels, they came back and said they no longer have.  I said, no problem and picked another.  After my pedi was done (which took 1 1/2 hours...and all I got was a "special" with a 15 min massage), I went to sit for my gel mani.  After the woman put on the top coat, she realized that the wrong matching color was in the box to the pedi so I had to choose a new color and then go back and redo the color on my toes.  Finally got back for the gel manicure and I quickly realized, the color didn't match my toes at all...they apologized and couldn't figure out what happened...all I know is I was there for 3 1/2 hours, spent $65 without even the tip for toes/fingers that don't match, a so-so massage and a so-so job overall...WILL NEVER GO AGAIN!!!!!!! I tried this salon today.  I walked in to the salon and saw people waiting, and thought it was odd that they took me to the back for a pedicure before any of the people who were waiting. The gentleman removed the polish from my toes, and asked me to put my feet in the water.  Then, I proceeded to watch him do someone else's pedicure, which was fine at first.  I sat there for more than 20 minutes. I think they should have told me that it was going to be a while, and they should have made me wait with the others up front instead of making me sit with my feet in the water for so long. Location is clean. Not the nicest strip mall but the nail salon itself is nice. I love that they have a small pedicure chair for my 3 year old. They also offer an extensive choice of gel colors including the temperature color changing gel! They also provide a parafin treatment for your heels with the regular pedicure!If you're looking for your nail technicians to make conversation, this is not the place for you. After a great first experience there, getting a very reasonably priced pedicure and acrylic wraps on my nails (I can't do the gel manicures), I went back for a fill in. I got the gentleman that works there, and he started working on my nails. When filing down the original acrylic to apply the fill in, he bored a hole into my natural nail. This place is right down the road from my sister's house, and even though I live nowhere near her, I would make the trip here again and again!We had made a mani pedi appointments for 3 at Salon 25, which just opened (and is AWFUL, PLEASE NO ONE GO THERE, they RE-Define the word UNPROFESSIONAL)needless to say, we had walked right on out of there, and into blooming nails, which is HUGE, calming, and the staff is so pleasant. we had a short wait time on the comfy couches, and were treated to an almost hour-long pedicure each- I fully recommend the Jelli Pedicure, its a powder that turns to this delicious foamy gel and it just makes your feet and legs feel like heaven. they also add a 10 minute leg/foot massage, its well worth it. We also had pedicures done-the salon is clean, well kept, and all of the technicians are super friendly. I will absolutely be returning here. Read Less

This is a very clean, well run, and affordable nail salon. I was very pleasantly surprised at the extra perks a regular pedicure came with at this establishment. That being a pretty decent foot massage and a keratin heel wrap treatment. I was particularly pleased the last time I visited and received a french manicure. My technician, Sam, was very precise with clipping, filing, and then painting. I was getting a flower design, and from past salon experiences, I was thinking it would be a simple little daisy in the middle of each ring finger...no, it was two beautiful cherry blossom branches in black and white accented with silver glitter in the center of each flower. I took my mother here for her birthday today. The prices are expensive. The girl that took me spoke very little English making it hard to communicate simple things.  She was very nice and my nails came out good. So I give them points on that.We got there at 5:30 and they close at 7:30. They took a while on my mom and it was 7:30 when they were finished and the girl wanted my mother to use the fan at her table for just her finger nails instead of going to the back so she could dry both her finger and toe nails. I felt like we were rushed out.  I figured 2 hours for a fill in and pedi would be enough time but it wasnt and they should have known how long it would take and not push my mom to leave before her nails were done. Also they didnt take the tissue off our toes when dry such a small thing could have made the experience a bit better. They seemed to do the minimum and not go above, like there isnt a nail salon on every corner.  I wont be going back there. Some positives again were the girl I had was nice, the nails came out beautiful, the place looked clean. Read Less
