Arrived at 6:10pm .. they are supposed to close at 7pm. She turned us away for a eye brow wax. Apparently our government gave them money to not work. It's not an all star place to get your nails done, but I had a fairly good experience. My nails look good--I got a ANC powder manicure. The one thing that turned me off was that the nail techs were having conversation and cursing a bunch. Also, one of them was eating while doing someone's nails. I have been to almost every nail salon in the saratoga county area trying to find some place that would do a good job on my nails. I went to Friendly Nails once a year ago & it was great but decided to continue going where I used to go cause it was cheaper. Needless to say, I wound up back at Friendly nails & Mala was amazing. Never once being in this salon have I ever felt uncomfortable like I do in most nail salons. They listen to your wants, and don't make you feel annoying by asking for a nail to be filed more, or another coat of clear. Caroline is great too. Love this place & recommend it to everybody! I've been here 3 times...all three times I have been unsatisfied with the out come and I've had the same man, so I guess shame on me for expecting that this time my nails would look nice. If you do go here just make sure you ask for one of the younger women! Read Less

I went in an was instantly greeted with a look of disgust and as if I were a bother. Immediately I was put off by that but decided to politely wait there instead for assistance. I was approached by one of the nail technicians so I asked how long it would be before I would be assisted. She later assured me that it would only be 5 mins however shortly after that a group of girls who vocally announced they didn't have appointments were assisted instantaneously. Instantly I recognized the look of disgust I got in the beginning must be because I am a very melanated woman and that's such a distasteful judgement to place on someone. I have done acrylic nails for a while now. This is the first time I have had them done in less than half an hour. The ladies seem like she was in a rush to do my nails. She did not even check to see if they were all the same size. My nails look horrible. Read Less

I called in advance and asked them when they take their last appointment before they close for the evening, as I would be coming 40 minutes from work. They instead asked me when I could come in which was after 6 pm. They asked what I wanted done and I said full set with gel finish and design. They told me they could take me. I scheduled the appointment. When I went in, everything seemed good at first. The lady began working on my nails and she rushed, was very rough and cut me four times. The first time she cut me, I told her it hurt and she didn't see anything; she began poking the area with her pointed thumbnail on my thumb near the top left corner of my nail and I flinched from the pain and it began to bleed. She took care of it, but was not friendly about it, nor did she apologize for making me bleed. When it came to my design, which I thought would be simple, it took her nearly 20 minutes and at this point it's past closing for the store. They began to make snide comments and ask me "What is this for?", as if I had to give a good reason for "making them stay past close", which was not my fault. They asked why I couldn't chose one of their holiday stick-ons instead of a hand-painted design. If they would not have enough time, they should not have scheduled the appointment. The lady working on me could not complete the design and the owner had to take over. She made a decent design on my ring finger on one hand and then gave up on the other. I still had to pay and then tip them for the service on top of being there after close and they didn't even finish the job. The girl I loved left so I tried a couple others and was very disappointed. Pedis came out horrible. Went back for 3rd times a charm and was happy with Caroline. She did a great job. I recommend seeing her if you go. Oh and they leave their doors open and smoke outside which I don't care for that at all. I really don't want to breath in smoke while I'm trying to relax and enjoy a Pedi. I guess if you're a smoker you won't mind but I do. Read Less

Newly remodeled. However we must have gone on a bad day. Two out of three of us are disappointed with our mani and pedis. My polish bubbled, my friend's polish is not smooth more like chunky. Ugh, what a waste of money. Read Less

A four year old did my nails... Just kidding... I went to Friendly's!!   Had a gel mani and pedi here recently.  My pedi was fantastic, unfortunately the same lady didn't do my mani.  The pictures should explain why you shouldn't come here.  Waste of $30, and I had to spend half an hour removing it. When I called to make sure they took walk-ins I guess I should have made an appointment.  This was my first visit to Friendly's and I will not be returning.  I went in for a pedicure and the woman rushed me through...also she did a very sloppy job with polish and there are bubbles in the top coat.  Then when I went to pay she stood over me and waited to see if I was going to tip her.  Very rude service and not worth the $$.  Maybe they treat you better if you make an appointment. Tried out this place cause another salon, in the Target shopping center, does a below average job. This place was clean and the workers were friendly. They did a great job on my pedicure. It was a bit confusing near the end of the service as the pedicurist didn't direct me where to go. She just said, "ok, you are all done". While most nail salons (other than upscale spas) in the area are in strip malls and the atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired, I was pleased with this one. It's clean and inviting, and the staff is always, well... friendly.Today I had Ann do my pedicure and gel manicure. She took a lot of time making sure my cuticles were perfectly trimmed, and the polish looks great. For my gel manicure, I chose a color from the Gelish line (I find that the OPI colors peel). At other nail salons I find they rush you in and out of the UV dryers, but she really took her time and made sure I was dry in between each coat. The massages on my legs and hands were great as well.I've been coming here for years-- highly recommend! Read Less
