For years I struggled to find someone I could trust to cut and highlight my long hair (hair that I am too lazy to spend any/much time styling everyday). After trying several salons in Winston and being less than pleased with the results, I called Aeracura and was given an appointment with Bridget Byerly. I consider myself very lucky that whoever answered the phone that day gave me an appointment with her! For over a year and a half she has made my life better and easier by trimming my hair to make it healthier and more stylish (even though I am not one to spend time on my hair each day), and highlighting it to bring some light into my days. I went in with my 3 daughters to get our nails done. 2 were just getting a regular manicure and my oldest daughter and I were getting ANC manicures. We sat to let out nails soaking (removing the old polish) at 5pm and literally just left ( it is now 730pm) with only 1 of our nails being done. Its as if they thought it was guaranteed money since we were already sitting soaking our nails and thought it would be ok to keep skipping and taking more customers in front of us. We saw a total of 4 people who came in after us get pedicures and leave before we were acknowledged again. I am a very reasonable person (hense the 2 hour wait) but this was just ridiculous. I went in to get eyelash extensions done on Friday. They looked nice but by the end of Saturday I was in pain my eyelid is swollen from them using excessive amounts of glue. When the glue dries it’s hard as a rock causing pain every time you blink especially in the corner of the eye. I have been hot packing it using baby oil olive oil makeup remover and the glue is still hard as a rock. My hair is stubborn and very dark in color, almost black and Acacio always gets my hair looking exactly how I want it... Bright purple! I receive compliments all day long. On 2/13/18, I came to get a full set of nails. On 2/15/18, my thumb nail pops off! On 2/16/18, I came back to get it fixed. The guy up front (whoever he is...) asked me what I needed. I explained to him what happened and that there wasn't enough acrylic applied to the nail. He told me to take a seat and someone will fix it. Meanwhile, cusomers were coming in. Next thing you know, he started taking customers who came in after me! I said to the guy, "how much longer will it be to fix one nail?" He said, "twenty minutes." I’m familiar with Aveda salons as well as non-Aveda and this one was my favorite for many reasons. I’ve had my hair cut by two different stylists at other salons and was not thrilled leaving. But this time!! I was with Wes at Aeracura and he did an absolutely wonderful job. Great conversation, asked me questions to make sure I got what I wanted, I could tell he was paying attention to the details. Beware. Currently sitting with my big toes wrapped in bandages hoping I didn't catch something. Went on New Year's Day for just a regular mani/pedi with my mom. After my pedicure my big toes started burning, went home and washed and put peroxide on them and they bubbled up like crazy. Put on ointment and bandages and still throbbing. My mom had a gel manicure which when put under the UV light burned to the point of tears. When she told the manicurist he brushed her off till she was forced to escalate it further, when she told the gentlemen for him to put it on his hands and try it he said "oh I know."... if you knew it causes burns to the point of almost blisters why would you do it to a customer? I give this place 5 stars for their natural eyelashe extensions, they just started this service. I always got their regular eyelash extensions but this is new and it's all natural hair,, I swear I don't feel a thing on my eyes, lol, they are too natural. I completely forget I have them when I rub my eyes, then I remember. No one can tell,, she does an amazing job putting it on, it takes an hour but she makes sure u are comfortable. Love this salon but recently called and spoke to Amanda. I've been coming here since they first opened and followed WES over and been a long time client of his (along with 3 of my daughters). Amanda was extremely rude and condescending on the phone when I recently called to make an appointment. She made me feel like my business was not valued and did not suggest any solutions to my issue. Her atittude was, "Sorry about your luck...find somewhere else to go.". Whether you are... a first time customer or long time customer, no one should be treated like they are not valued, particularly when the person that answers the phone presents the entire energy of the business. I have to say this is NOT my normal experience with this salon as I have always felt extremely valued by everyone (facial, color, hair) people I have come in contact with. I would give them no stars if I could. Went in yesterday for ANC and I had ANC on so I needed to soak. About ten minutes into my soak I noticed there were sparkles in the bottom of the acetone I was soaking in. I had zero sparkles on my nails. So they were CLEARLY reusing chemicals!!!! Health code gross!! Looking around there were holes in the walls the mirrors were crooked and the shop was just flat out dirty. Nail clippings all over the place. Never ever again! Read Less

Worst place ever. Workers have no personality. Very rude. I spent $62 and left totally unsatisfied. Got ANC and I swear it was his first time. I told him it looked horrible all he said was "don't touch it". I didn't touch it. It just looks horible! Got a pedicure. My kid could have done a better job. No massage whatsoever. No wonder why that is only $20. The guy even picked up the sponge from the floor and used it on the lady's next to me foot. I was so disgusted. I am a little sad that the service is not up to the those of the past owners. i just got a pedicure and manicure first he cut my toe nails before the foot sock foot scrubbing was fair but he did not get the back of my heels or ankles as I have had in the past toe trimming was good but my nails should have I believe trimmed. Leg and foot massage was less then a minute per leg I expected at least an 3 minute massage per leg covering the whole leg to just below the knee he did not massage the back of my legs at all another service I have received from TU in the past. Manicure was 3 star again it would have been more but his work station was dirty he did clean it but waited several minuted to finishes what work he was doing on my hands then he brought a hot cloth spread it on my hands for maybe 3 seconds again to shot a time then he us the cloth to clean the work area then gave me a at tops a 10 ssecond hand massage again to shot a time. after 20 minutes under the fans I put on my shoes left a $2 tip it would have been more but I did feel the service was lacking Read Less
