Loved the location, atmosphere and everything about it!! I used the Groupon voucher and Dominique did my hair. I asked for a blunt long bob. Called to inform me hair tech was 30 min behind schedule.  However, the wait time was 90 min!!!  Blow dry was def not worth the wait or the $55 fee. Re-washed my hair next day and did it myself. Alot.of yester year hair cuts and styles  walking out. Read Less

What a disappointment! My hair stylist made me feel extremely uncomfortable and did a HORRIBLE job on my hair. She looked at me as if I was stupid when I told her I wanted to die my hair black. I could've blew dried my hair better, I walked out of there with my hair freezy. I don't know her name but she is colored skin and a little heavy, probably Jamaican. I found this hair salon through Groupon and I am so happy I did. First off, there is free valet parking (tips are accepted and appreciated), there are refreshments offered as soon as you walk in (coffee and water), and everyone seems to know everyone. The hair stylists all get along, communicate effortlessly and seem happy to be at work. Their energy is contagious! The ladies at the front desk are beyond helpful, patient and accommodating. The young lady who washed my hair did such an amazing job that I plan on going in for a monthly wash and blow dry. I have been to many hair salons from Westchester to Long Island and this was the best scalp massage I have EVER received!! My hair stylist, Giovanna was amazing! She really listened to what I wanted and checked for clarification. We related on many areas during our conversation as she cut and blew out my hair. I walked out of there feeling confident, which is not easy for me! My husband even complimented me on my hair cut and the softness of my hair! Kathy B has been doing my hair for 30 years, she listens to what I would like done and we discuss any pros or cons. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else to have my hair done, even though I have moved to Dutchess County. Way worth the drive! Kathy used to cut my late husbands hair plus my grandchildren, she is now doing a beautiful job on my current boyfriend. Athena has been doing my hair since 4th grade. I'm now 44! She has styled my entire family. Specifically my mom and my grandma. Forget that she is amazing at her craft and a true artist - she is one of the finest human beings I've ever met in my life. I truly love her like family. She's been there with me through major life events, my bat mitzvah, prom, wedding and now just helped me figure out my hair for own son's bar mitzvah. And she has also been there in times of sadness... as well - always offering her support. She is just an incredibly special person and I truly love her. I went there once and will not go back again. I booked an appointment with Marissa and she came off as rude and did not engage much with me. Her technique for the Quidad-style cut was minimal, and it seemed like she was inexperienced or not confident in what she was doing. Normally with this kind of cut, the stylist will tell you what steps you need to take to maintain your hair and how to make the most out of this cut. She did not. When I asked for long side bangs she said that "it would look bad." My hair is curly but I told her to shape my hair for when I wear it straight and she just gave me bulky, chunky pieces. My hair is totally uneven, one side is longer than the other and many people have commented about how bad the cut is. Normally, if I don't get my hair blown out, they diffuse it for me. Not a trustworthy establishment. It's all about tricking the customers to get money. Especially the hair replacement at the back. The old guy is a "snake oil salesman". He will promise you the moon to seal the deal. Then once he gets the money, the story changes. Purchased a wig, told me everything would be taken care of by his establishment. Went there a couple of months ago for a touch up on my permanent eyebrows......before that I was there two years ago for the actual permanent eyebrows.....I went for.the touch up and someone else did them because the original lady moved away.....which made me disappointed.This other lady wasn't so professional...she came out by the waiting area twice and never came over to introduce herself.....then while she was doing my brows someone else that worked there kept coming in talking to her....it was rude....then there was a confusion abt the price of the touch up.....$150 later I was disappointed with the color of the brows....they should have been dark brown.... I emailed them a month later abt it but they were not helpful so now I still have to pencil in my brows cause they're grey!!!!!!..I will never go there ever again!!.....If you're not one of their regular customers scoffing down coffee and bagels like they do then your not treated properly!!!....And the old lady at the desk thinks who she is like she's working at Trump Tower!!!! I decided to try the salon and was paired up with her, and what a great match! Adam & Eve is the best hair salon I have ever been to.  Mandy has been cutting, coloring and styling my hair for at least 15 years.  She has always done a great job and is very accommodating.  The staff is always nice and very professional.  I remember once when a shampoo girl was talking on the cell phone while washing my hair.  One of the staff walked up to her and told her to stop talking on the cell phone and that talking on the cell phone was not allowed inside the shop when working. Another time there was a hot water problem and the staff literally boiled water and mixed it with cold water so that the shampoos wouldn't be too cold.If you are looking for a great salon that consistently does an excellent job, this is the place. This salon needs some major improvements.  First, the staff at the front desk is snobby and unfriendly.  They do not offer to take coats (my stylist took my coat and hung it up once I sat down in the chair), they do not offer coffee/drinks, and they use an INTERCOM system.  You would also think that a salon in Scarsdale, NY would take American Express cards - if you cater to higher end clients, you would think that you would accept a high end credit card.  My stylist is amazing, but I am considering not returning because of the unpleasant staff and the feeling that they could care less if your there. When I pay hundreds of dollars for salon services, I want to be treated like I am special - that's not the case at all.  I think the valet staff would do a better job at the front desk. Read Less

You could not pay me to return to this salon!  I had a horrible experience with my Groupon visit, and feel if you are going to have less qualified hairdressers doing highlights they should make the client aware.  I would have become a regular client had I liked how it turned out, as I currently drive almost an hour to my regular hairdresser.  I've spent more money trying to get my hair repaired after my visit, than I would have going for the same process at my normal hairdresser!  Thanks to Avel, I have streaks of brown going across many sections of my hair while the rest ended up bleach blonde  (I asked for caramel highlights)!  And these are horizontal streaks cause by him crinkling the foils rather than carefully folding them, which he placed about and inch and a half from my scalp, (leaving me with roots before I even left).  My hair is also extremely damaged  and has been breaking off constantly due to him leaving the foils in for over an hour....I questioned his methods and was assured by a manager that he was doing everything the way it should have.  Well I should have trusted my own judgement and ran away from there!  I ended up going to a very high-end salon in Greenwich about a month later, and while they did was they could, the hair Avel put highlights in was too damaged to process any more.  I'm now waiting as long as I can to get my roots redone, as I'm afraid the rest of my hair can not handle it.  Unfortunately I have nothing good to say about my experience and would not recommend this salon to anyone I know! Not professional at all. When I asked hair stylist what hair she would recommend she said she doesn't know. She was also so surprised that I asked her for advice. So when I finally came up with a haircut I want MYSELF, she cuts it all off so short!! I could not manage hair for the next 2 months at all. I really do not recommend this salon. I told her exactly what length I want but she cut it so short. if she gave me a good haircut then ok but it was just horrible. I started going here about 12 years ago when I lived in Westchester and still drive an hour to get my hair done here now.  I love that most of the stylists are long timers (have only gone to 2 stylists and both are still there), as are the customers.  They offer some spa services (never tried) and some nail services (depends on tech).  Rates are a bit on the higher side, but nothing too crazy for Westchester standards.  Valet parking is available (and necessary) on the weekend.
