As a recent transplant from Manhattan, my standards are wildly high, and without a doubt, I can say that Sanctuary Spa is, by far, the best spa in the area. Furthermore, my entire family has tried other spas in the area (for massages/facials/dermaplaning/nails/etc), and now we will not go elsewhere after finding Sanctuary years ago. Cleanliness is a MUST for me (my family owns a resort so I'm wildly critical of this) and they are a spotless facility. The staff is SO friendly and accommodating. I was recommended by a friend to look into laser treatments, which I was nervous about until I had my consult with Karen, who is amazing and sooo helpful, and did a wonderful job all around. Everyone at the facility thoroughly explains everything, and never tries to upsell me- in fact, the staff debated with me over whether I actually needed certain treatments or not! It's a nice feeling to know the staff actually cares about me (and my wallet!). If researching spas in the area, there should be no question that Sanctuary Spa should be your pick.Also- please note that Sanctuary Spa reopened in Aug 2016 after a total overhaul so ignore any negative reviews from before that! I died and went to spa heaven !!! I found my new favorite place. Not to mention the place is beautiful something out of a magazine I didn't want to leave . It all started with a birthday gift certificate and I was pleasantly surprised. I have been going ever since, and the color is always perfect. It's not easy finding a new salon but at The Sanctuary you will feel like you've been going for years, totally professional with an upscale vibe but reasonable priced. Beautiful atmosphere with perfect and professional service. I loved how private and secluded it felt. The ladies made me feel right at home and extremely relaxed. I have had my eyebrows waxed, microdermabration, and purchased from the natural product like they carry. They even did a scan of my skin to show me damage below the surface, really interesting. My husband suggested I try Sanctuary spa after looking at a variety of day spas in the area. I didn't know what exactly to expect or to bring with me. I arrived with my wallet and my cell phone and they had everything thing else I could imagine I would need. I received a Signature Facial, an Aromatherapy Massage, and the Signature Pedicure. The relaxation room is very comfortable for downtime between treatments. The massage was the best! I assumed that the aromas would assault my nose. It was the most precise and comfortable massage I've ever gotten. (Ask for Sara). The facial was basic, I have pretty good skin already. It was definitely relaxing and I expected to get product pushed on me. I only received answers to my questions for product suggestions. The pedicure was average. For 65.00 I expected that more tools would be used and more detail would be paid to the heels. But it was comfortable and the pedicurist was really sweet.
