The place is clean but the level of professionalism is severely lacking. They raised their prices and I see no improvement in service. There is no one to give the neck massage after a mani/pedi? The clientele  seem to feel that speaking loudly and not respecting a "spa" vibe matters. QUIET YOURSELF!  DONT TALK ON YOUR PHONE! It's really the management's fault not to maintain a peaceful environment. I come to a nail salon to RELAX not to hear about some vociferous women's blown out uterus! I'm not kidding! Its a Saturday and it isn't packed but there are a good amount of customers here,which is good. I got the Lemon & Gel Pedicure for $30. It was great and relaxing! The women are very nice and carry on great conversations so time flies by fast. I have this Nail salon 4 stars because I also got a manicure(I'm not sure how much the price is haha)... I love the color but the lady did miss some spots in the corner. They also give you massages while you dry your nails, toes and while you're getting dolled up you can control the massage chair ... So basically you get a massage all the time! Also while drying there's a bowl of lollipops and chocolate to keep your mouth sweet. Read Less

I don't live in the St. James area, my family does and each time I'm here, I make sure to get a mani/pedi at Barbi. The facility is clean, the staff is well-trained, and I doubt I've ever had a better massage during a mani/pedi. The prices are average, but the services included are outstanding. No different from other nail spas.  Spent a good deal of time waiting for my turn. Did mani/pedi massage & eyebrows for myself and 2 children.  Bill was $95, of which I tried to make sure I tipped each person who touched any of us.  Imagine my surprise after leaving to see the manager of this place follow me out and tell me she needs an extra $5 for her "girls".  I had already doled out at least $20 in tips.  I found that experience quite embarassing and the reason I will go to the many, many other salons in the neighborhood.  What horrible customer service! This place is great! As was mentioned before the pedicure is only $18 and a manicure is only $8! And they do a great job, spend a lot of time on each customer and it is very new and clean inside. I will absolutely be a repeat customer! Read Less

I've been to this place twice for pedicures and have had a good experience both times. The pedicure is only $18, and you get a lot for that $18, including paraffin wax on your heels! The salon is clean and tastefully decorated and in a convenient location, especially for us St. James types. The staff is friendly and professional. They are efficient without being too fast or seeming like they're shuffling you out the door. Highly recommended. Read Less
